...had the normal 360 for an year and then traded it in for the elite. i loved the black colour and the idea of the bigger hard drive. with standard white machine there was the curse of the "ring of death" which i never got with the white machine, but did get it with first elite machine and was told buy guys in game that this was sorted for the elite! well got it all sorted and second machine i have no problems with at all and its been running for year and a half. elite came with an hdmi port and i got a kinda of cheap hd television from argos, but the picture quality was amazing, and i am sure with better hd television the xbox would stand out even better. in box you get xbox elite, one black wireless controller, hdmi cable and also hd normal cable with optical cable for sound. as to date there is tons of amazing games out...

...Welcome to the mother of all games consoles... the Xbox 360 Elite. With a massive 120Gb harddrive I can store all the videos,demos and game saves that my heart desires. So far I have only filled up 80Gb! The console comes in a sleek black finish and looks great next to my new widescreen TV, everyone notices it when they come round and they always say how nice it looks 'for a games console'. The chrome disk tray really stands out against the black and looks great. ...Power is the first thing that comes to mind when i think of the xbox 360 elite, it has a huge 120GB hard disk drive and the graphics seem to run alot smoother that the original xbox 360 for some reason. I had the original xbox 360 but that died on me about 2 weeks after buying, microsoft seem to have sorted out these little issues that kept crashing the system. The elite has a HDMI port which means you can connect this straght into your HD socket on your tv, I have a 42 inch plasma and i thought the graphics was good on my old Xbox 360 through a scart lead but once i plugged this in i was blown away! The graphics are amazing, perfect detail can be seen on the games that you play. You get the HDMI cable with this system too which is just great as they are quite exspensive to buy, you also get one black wirless controller and a headset...

...I have previously owned two Xbox 360 Premium consoles in the past. I decided to purchase again with the release of Halo 3. Overall I\'m very happy with the Elite. Its main advantage over the Premium is the larger 120GB hard drive. Compared to buying a console and the larger hard drive it represents good value for money. If you want to download lots of demos and not have to worry about lack of space then the bigger drive is definitely worth it. If you just want HDMI then that should now be available on the Premium console. Another thing that I have found with the past two consoles that I have owned run rather loud. The Elite seems to be slightly less noisy but this still depends on what DVD drive you get in your system. Unfortunately it is down to luck which one you\'ll get. Xbox Elite, and it;s elite-ness!

Advantages: Quick and easy, reliable, looks good, large variety of games and features, Wireless functions.
Disadvantages: Costly, games when brand new can be costly, quite bulky!

...From my experiances of using consoles, I find the xbox in general to be very versatile, and reliable; it has a large choice of games ranging from childrens games, to more adult genre games, and even offers online options! You do in fact have to pay montly to use their online features but I personally find it very worth it, and not an issue at all. In my opinion I think Xboxes are lovely for all ages, and all genders, offering games which in fact could include the whole family, better yet the whole world! Elites offer a black console, extra memory and black accessories (also a cable which can hook up to a HD-ready televison for improved viewing), you are mainly paying for the masive memory that is included 125G, which you can store music on, games on, and various other content (ie. previews, downloads, demo's addones). Advantages: Faster, Larger Memory, More Games, Fantastic Online System, Looks Stunning

Microsoft Xbox 360 Elite - Best console ever made!

Advantages: Looks good/Good storage/Great games/Great graphics/can play films and videos/music/lots lots more.
Disadvantages: Very expensive accesories, especially the wireless adaptor

...I bought my Elite for around £300 around 2 years ago from the Game store in Nottingham. It came with one game and seemed very reasonably priced compared to the premium console as it was only around £50 more and included a 120GB hard-drive!! which is massive, and would set you back atleast £60 but at the time even £120 to buy seperately. Plus at the time this was the only xbox to have HDMi for easy connection to a HD TV through one small cable. I understand that alot of people may love the PS3, and thats ok if you can settle for an inferior console, I just want to warn any PS3 fanboys (or fangirls) you should look away now :P There are so many great things about the xbox 360 Elite.
