...on the xbox such as, gears of war 1 and 2, fable 2, fallout 3 and call of duty 4 which are all amazing games in hd. only thing that makes me choose the xbox elite over the playstation 3 is the online system that xbox uses is much better to playstions, but you pay £40 pounds a month and playstations is free. if playstations online system was nearly the same as xbox's i would defo transfer back to sony....

...Welcome to the mother of all games consoles... the Xbox 360 Elite. With a massive 120Gb harddrive I can store all the videos,demos and game saves that my heart desires. So far I have only filled up 80Gb! The console comes in a sleek black finish and looks great next to my new widescreen TV, everyone notices it when they come round and they always say how nice it looks 'for a games console'. The chrome disk tray really stands out against the black and looks great. The console itself has so many games to choose from theres something for everyone, with exclusive titles such as Halo everyone should own one. Now the console does have its drawbacks, all 360's are prone to getting the RROD (red rings of death), this is an overheating problem which results in the 360 becoming unplayable; I would recommend positioning the console...

...Power is the first thing that comes to mind when i think of the xbox 360 elite, it has a huge 120GB hard disk drive and the graphics seem to run alot smoother that the original xbox 360 for some reason. I had the original xbox 360 but that died on me about 2 weeks after buying, microsoft seem to have sorted out these little issues that kept crashing the system. The elite has a HDMI port which means you can connect this straght into your HD socket on your tv, I have a 42 inch plasma and i thought the graphics was good on my old Xbox 360 through a scart lead but once i plugged this in i was blown away! The graphics are amazing, perfect detail can be seen on the games that you play. You get the HDMI cable with this system too which is just great as they are quite exspensive to buy, you also get one black wirless controller and a headset...

Advantages: Quick and easy, reliable, looks good, large variety of games and features, Wireless functions.
Disadvantages: Costly, games when brand new can be costly, quite bulky!

...From my experiances of using consoles, I find the xbox in general to be very versatile, and reliable; it has a large choice of games ranging from childrens games, to more adult genre games, and even offers online options! You do in fact have to pay montly to use their online features but I personally find it very worth it, and not an issue at all. In my opinion I think Xboxes are lovely for all ages, and all genders, offering games which in fact could include the whole family, better yet the whole world! Elites offer a black console, extra memory and black accessories (also a cable which can hook up to a HD-ready televison for improved viewing), you are mainly paying for the masive memory that is included 125G, which you can store music on, games on, and various other content (ie. previews, downloads, demo's addones). ...In my opinion, the Xbox 360 elite is the complete package when it comes to entertainment. However, when you pay in the region of £200 plus for any console you expect a flawless system, this is not the case with the Xbox 360 Elite. The first noticeable difference from Microsofts first installement in the 360 series is the colour. The new polished black matte finish is definately a striking feature and this itself sets it apart from its predecessors. On a more internal note the gaming system has been improved to support higher graphical and sound capabilities and the hardrive has been expanded so users can potentially store 120gb worth of photos, music, films and games. ...I have previously owned two Xbox 360 Premium consoles in the past. I decided to purchase again with the release of Halo 3. Overall I\'m very happy with the Elite. Its main advantage over the Premium is the larger 120GB hard drive. Compared to buying a console and the larger hard drive it represents good value for money. If you want to download lots of demos and not have to worry about lack of space then the bigger drive is definitely worth it. If you just want HDMI then that should now be available on the Premium console. Another thing that I have found with the past two consoles that I have owned run rather loud. The Elite seems to be slightly less noisy but this still depends on what DVD drive you get in your system. Unfortunately it is down to luck which one you\'ll get.
