Time After Time--This has a great piano start, it is a very upbeat track and probably my favourite on the album. The Band kind of remind me of McFly with this track and McFly are a good Band Paralell Worlds--This track is great and has a good video to it, it was put together greatly.It has a great riff and a good beat it keeps the song alive. ...Elliot Minor: Elliot Minor: 14th April 2007. Welcome to the 11 song guide. 1. Time After Time Alex’s favourite. Wow. The demo showed so much charm, so does the finalised track live up? Yes. The one criticism is the removal of the gunshot, but if you overlook that the track has been mastered to perfection. Webisodes have shown clips of this song and the radio even gave us a preview, but nothing could prepare you for the beautiful chords, melodies and lyrics which definitely lead way to an amazing album of this immense scale. Liar Is You

Advantages: Excellent from start to finish, an absolutely sensational début album.
Disadvantages: Only eleven tracks are present on this album.

...'Elliot Minor' is the début album from the band of the same name. There are eleven tracks on display here and it must be said that this is an exquisitely fine display of music from the York based quintet that is Elliot Minor. The music contains a great beauteous quality throughout the entirety of this album and never does the slick musical skill of the five members of Elliot Minor here disappoint. The album gets going with 'Time After Time', a fine track to begin this release with and one that sets the mood nicely. It's by no means the best track from this album, it is however a fine way to start and right from the offset here the music of Elliot Minor grabs you and gains your full undivided attention. The album has plenty to offer and listening to 'Elliot Minor' is therefore an exciting and greatly entertaining experience...

...Depending on what kind of music you like, what music channels you watch on the million and one generic satellite services there are, or which of the radio stations you listen to will have a bearing on the likelihood of you having heard of Elliot Minor. To be honest they aren't a band that have played shy from the limelight, but they have certainly provided those of us who have known the group through obscurity, with a few laughs, giggles and smiles with their online blogs on you tube and featured on their Myspace page. A 'Parallel World' debut

Advantages: Songs are good for whatever mood you are in
Disadvantages: Some inexperience with the song writing

...Elliot Minor with their debut, self-titled album (11 tracks). The band hailing from York, England, are all classically trained musicians, between them they can play violin, cello, piano, clarinet, double bass and saxophone. After hearing the songs they released on the radio and various music channels you can hear the blend of classical music (if you imagine it updated and played with guitars) with more modern genres such as punk, indie and metal. This combination of genres makes for an original yet awesome style of music. I decided that when they went on tour I would go see them. Between me deciding I really liked this band, and tickets for the tour going on sale, I managed to get my girlfriend hooked. Once discovering she liked them too, I found out a lot of her friends also did, and that the popularity of Elliot Minor was growing...

...Billy Elliot was not the sort of film I liked, and when my sister bought it on DVD, I moaned about her crap choice in films, but she insisted it was actually very good, as she saw it at the cinema when it came out a few years ago.   Minor Masterpiece

Advantages: Brilliant, a real return to past Spielberg excellence.
Disadvantages: Momentary lapses of style, nothing serious.

...I know originality is a precious commodity to come by these days, but I hoped that at least Spielberg would have been able to muster some and not just mimic other movies. He tried hard but there were definite touches of The Matrix, Robocop, Total Recall, The Terminator, The Fugitive and also every other Spielberg movie. I appreciate how hard it must have been to make a satisfactory adaptation of a Philip K Dick novel and I was also impressed that we didn?t simply get Blade Runner 2. Many Directors find it hard to make a futuristic film without showing off every cool idea they had and often forget to tell a story, lost in their own inventiveness. Spielberg did this a little with A.I and got carried away with the robots and his own imagination. So it is good to see that Minority Report uses its setting to good effect but does not go...

Billy Elliot - on stage!

Advantages: good songs and good acting
Disadvantages: the film is better

...I absolutely love Billy Elliot and have done since I saw it at the cinema, owning both the video and DVD (sad I know). As soon as I knew that it was coming out as a musical I knew I had to see it. I within the first 6 months of it coming out and it is still one of the only London musicals I have actually paid full price for. The seats we had were quite high up but I don't think that this restricted our viewing at all and so I would actually say that due to the 'bedroom' scenes being high that this was actually an advantage. The songs in the musical are all different to the ones in the film. They are just aas catchy though - but hard to hear the exact words at times. Advantages: Gripping plot and no sci-fi just for the sake of it
Disadvantages: You will need to keep your wits about you
