SALE! 50% OFF at Virgin Vie at Home, 159 Cheshire Oaks Outlet Village, Ellesmere Port, CH65 9JJ
125ml at £2.40 (?3.36) per 100ml
Vie 's Emerald Bath Sparkle is shaded the most beautiful, most intense and most radiant green that can possibly be imagined: emerald green.
Simply pour under the Tap of a Nice, Hot Bath and watch in amazement as the waters turn a lovely emerald shade of jade green! The amount you pour in will determine just how bejewelled your bathing experience will be. The product is packed very tightly into a 125 ml bottle, and flows out into your bath sparingly, so you honestly do not use that much at all!
I bought this at Cheshire Oaks Outlet Village, from their Virgin Vie Store, on Boxing day just gone, for £5, for two of these. They were also on sale for £3 for one.
The Bath Sparkle is long lasting...
Advantages: fun, good variety of pokemon Disadvantages: can be irritating and repetitive
...Before I start this review, I should mention that I am older than the age group the Pokemon games are usually geared at. I am 18, and my boyfriend who has also been playing these games is 19. I have tried to give a good all-round opinion of the game, but please bear this fact in mind!
If you have played any of the previous Pokemon games or watched any of the cartoons or movies, you already know the idea behind this game. Pokemon Emerald features you as a pokemon trainer, travelling the land whilst collecting and battling Pokemon as you go. The idea behind the games are pretty simple, and it's easy to catch on as to what you're supposed to be doing after just a few minutes of game play. Though at face value the game is very simple, it can also be seen as a game of strategy. For those of you who already own Sapphire or Ruby, this game...
Advantages: Hundreds of hours of game play Disadvantages: You're not going to complete it unless you get your friends involved
...Introduction
Pokemon Emerald was bought out in the UK in 2005 for the Game Boy Advance (GBA). As with all Game Boy games you can use them on new platforms that are released, for example:
A GBA game works in a Nintendo DS and DS lite
A Gameboy Color game works in a GBA, a Nintendo DS and DS lite
A Gameboy game works in a Gameboy Color, a GBA, a Nintendo DS and DS lite
Very handy to know as Nintendo don't tend to make many of the classic games for their newer platforms.
I bought my copy of Pokemon Emerald second-hand from Game in 2006 and it cost me around £25, sounds a lot I know as it was only £30 new but this really was the going rate at the time as the game is fairly rare.
Pokemon Emerald is very similar to Ruby or Sapphire, it basically has a few added tweaks but overall the same game. So if you already Ruby...
...I have been a member of the Emerald Club for some Thirty years enjoying food in the restaurants and am aghast that this service is being terminated shortly-altho I have not been informed personally as yet. The alternative offered of special two or three course menus does not acheive the former standard offered by the Emerald card.
I would exhort all members to write to Whitbread to complain about the withdrawal of the restaurant element which has operated successfully by Beefeater for a considrable time. It has attracted a loyal group of supporters mainly old age pensioners who can enjoy an evening meal before 7.30 pm in the relative quietude atmosphere of Beefeater restaurants.
The choice of courses has been quite extensive whereas the alternative offered is much more restrictive...
Advantages: You get to go on holiday!!! you get to visit a variety of different countries whilst sunbathing! Disadvantages: You know you're gonna be struggling with overflowing suitcases on the return journey soon!
...met by over-enthusiatic members of the Emerald cruise ship, they were brandishing a camera but that was after we had to sign in, hand over our passports and pose for a headshot that would go with our boarding cards, when we passed through we had to stand behind of an Emerald ship life ring, complete with rope and infront of a cardboard cutout cartoon version of the ship we were about to board..... please remember we had just flown 2 1/2 hours, dealt with airport officials, we were hot, tired, hungry and thirsty and now we were being forced to grin at a camera, i felt gross, i knew i wouldn't buy that.
We had the option to hop on another coach or we could walk the short distance to the ship, we decided to walk, it was a lovely night and as we had yet to see our ship i wanted to walk slowly to it rather than zoom quickly to it, we passed...
Advantages: errrrr.... Disadvantages: messes with your brain?
...Yet another poem that I hope you will enjoy.
I get more comments on this poem than everything I have ever written. It has been published in a couple of anthologies locally, and has been featured in a gothic magazine and ezine published by Storm Constantine.
It seems to mean something different to everyone that reads it.
I'm almost to embarresed to explain its Genesis on here.
Clue, it involved lots of vodka.
Emerald Lies
Spinning a web of emerald lies
Poised above the world
Cut off from all ties.
Glistening, shimmering,
Slithering away from the truth.
Slivering in scarlet pursuit,
Relentless pursuit.
Covering the tracks of truth,
You materialize.
Screaming above the faceted lies.
Hot blood surges,
A crimson wine,
The lust is yours,
The fear is mine.
Burning, yearning
Squirming delightfully...
Advantages: Excellent value at the price. Disadvantages: Few trimmings
...Never have I had such a miserable start to a holiday. It was just over a year ago, and I was feeling jaded and tired when I saw on the internet a cutprice Thomson cruise holiday in the Mediterranean. I had no hesitation in booking at once. Later, I got the brochure which confirmed my opinion that the twelve day holiday on the cruise ship Emerald was going to be somewhat downmarket, but at the price I didn?t mind that. It was costing me only £729, all inclusive. If that sounds a lot, ask yourself where you could find an all-inclusive hotel for that price.
I had to join the Emerald at Palma, Majorca, and the journey was dreadful. The charter flight to Palma had been scheduled for mid-morning, giving me time to get to Gatwick from my home in Oxfordshire, but almost at the last minute it was changed to 05.45, and I felt I could not ask...
Advantages: My hubby likes it! (hence the title) Disadvantages: Rare Gold and Rare Rubies. The other two in the collection!
...Rare Emeralds is the newest perfume of all the Avon Fragrances and was introduced in March 2001. (Campaign 7).
As the name suggests, the perfume is packaged in a clear glass bottle and green lid, yet it shares its basic unique design with Rare Gold and Rare Rubies. It would appear that Avon is after a corporate image with this collection of fragrances. Rare Emeralds is a little gem of a scent (apologies for pun, plus subsequent puns!) and I personally think it is the best in this collection, so much so that I am using it everyday at present!
The top notes to this perfume are bergamot, geranium and orange. There is also a tropical, floral air to this scent with a hint of jasmine and white rose blossom combined with blue cedar, musk and sandalwood. It is a unique smell that can be worn as both daily or in the evenings. It is...
...The emerald Isle that is Ireland is a magnificent country to visit for fishing. There are so many places to fish, in fact there is so much water in Eire that I am surprised the island hasn't sunk.
By far my favourite fishing venue is at Killyshandra, County Cavan. The series of lakes which form the Ersk system stretch quite literally for miles and anywhere along the plentiful shores is excellent for fishing.
There is excellent sport to be had Bream fishing, on my last trip I netted 127lb of bream in a 6 hour session. It was a very impressive haul.
Pike fishing is the other great love of mine in Eire and the Ersk provides a plentiful supply of these magnificent creatures although sadly over the past 10 years the stocks of larger fish have declined due to them being poached wholesale by German visitors who can sell them back home...
Advantages: nice bottle, can buy other talcs and so on in the same range Disadvantages: not keen on the smell, expensive
...As many of you know, I am an Avon devotee. I just received another load of Avon products today, hurray! But this opinion is about something I received as a birthday present back in October – a perfume called Rare Emeralds.
Avon has a set of three ‘Rare’ perfumes – Rare Rubies has a red top and is described as floral and spice, Rare Gold has a gold top and is described as ‘tantalising exotic blooms’ (your guess is as good as mine!), Rare Emeralds has a green top and is apparently an ‘exotic florals with citrus’ fragrance.
The Rare Emeralds is in a dark green box with a gold logo, which looks quite classy. The design of the bottle is nice too, quite simple but effective. It is a see-through frosted glass, a kind of flat-bottomed oval shape with a dark green semi-circular ‘fan tail...
