The forgotten men of prog, Keith Emerson (keyboards), Greg "I Believe In Father Christmas" Lake (guitars) and Carl Palmer (bass), who lets face it, did have a tendency to take themselves a little bit too seriously, record this magnum opus, taking the opening and stretching it in that manner so beloved of 70's proggers. It's got a great rolling bass line, the timing is perfect, just as you would expect from classically trained musicians, and the trio get their groove on to a T. This is just a fabulous example of good musicians letting the jam take them where they want to go. That set was a faultless document of a 70s supergroup throughout its entire career, and here we have another "Dinosaur" group from those halcyon days, the "Classical Rock" pioneers Emerson Lake & Palmer, attempting to cement their place in Rock History for posterity via a marathon trawl through the visual archives. Why is Robbo still there

Advantages: A loyal chairman (what next?)
Disadvantages: Too many crap players

...Well, the chairman's stood by him an awful long time - much longer than managers of crap teams usually get, but now we've got the odd situation where he's still notionally the boss and yet Terry Venables has come in to take over all team affairs - what does that mean and what exactly is Robbo's job? Surely it would be far better to put him out of his misery now and have done with it. Apparently the arrangement only holds good until the end of the season - but you know what that means - if it works out El Tel will be asked to stay on - if they go down, they'll probably both be off. Their form seems to have picked up now but I can't see it lasting throughout - they simply don't have the players or the team spirit and they've made some awful buys. It's better than when Ravanelli and Emerson were there, but it couldn't be any worse, now...

Almost fatal attraction.

Advantages: Very entertaining and as a slight twist of humour.
Disadvantages: Not overly scary.

...No, this isn't another student related opinion as the title may suggest... Ahhhhhhhh OK I love vampires, this was the first Vampire film I saw. I did watch Salem’s Lot when I was eight but I was so scared that I saw more of the cushion I was hiding behind. Hey I was eight, don’t mock me ! The Lost Boys is a fantastic romp into the world of the undead, done with such eighties charm that you can watch it repeatedly. This 1987 film is a classic from my teen years!
