The entertainment system is one of the better ones I have used as it allows you to pause, rewind, fast forward any music you are listening to or any show or movie you are watching if you need to go to the toilet or there is some food being served. Before you fly you can also visit the Emirates website and view what movies will be onboard for your flight. I made my way through National Treasure II, Fool's Gold, PS I love you, College Road Trip and 27 Dresses. You will find in your headphones that there are a set of 3 stickers for you to put on the top of your seat, one is to wake you up if food is being served, another is to wake you up for duty free and another is to not disturb if you are sleeping. Food for thought

Advantages: Compare foods you like to my preferences
Disadvantages: The 'Marmite' will stir up a debate I'm sure, lol

...What! Only 10 foods? Of all the MILLIONS/ BILLIONS of food products out there we can only pick 10? Well, I suppose you'd get bored by my 100th or so one..or tenth... In no particular order; let's begin 1. Fish -Smoked Haddock, Salmon, Cod, sea bass or tuna. Haddock is delcious in a pitta bread with scrambled egg or haselback potatoes. Salmon fillet is divine if you top it with mayo, crushed seasoned cornflakes with garlic and then drizzled with a cheese sauce. Smoked salmon slices mixed into mash with cheese spread! emm. And tuna, mix it with onion and some chutney to get fish fruity. Make your own fish pie or chop it up into an omelete. Fish is sooo nutritional, versatile and delcious. Not a fan of sardines, herring; trout and the lark, or with heads and eyes still on! Prawns - league of there own. Nice just out the pack...

Wanna Fly, Then Fly Emirates

Advantages: Comfortable, Staff, Evrything..
Disadvantages: None i can think off

...comfortable and relaxing and you get more value to the money. you get here more what you cant get in Economy. For me its good as my journey from here to Dubai and from there to India is long so this is more comfortable to fly. First class of emirates is really good they say, i have never experianced it as i have not travel because thats expensive for me to travel. Food serve is also good, if you vegetarian or Non Veg(Halal) food is there. Drinks are served regularly. So if you need anything just press the button and they staff on plane is there to help you out. I just had problem once with Emirates, last year in Nov when i was flying from London to Dubai, are flight got delayed because the communication part of the airline was not working and the new part was ordered and was coming from Germany so the ywere expecting it to come and then...

Emirates-Keep Going

Advantages: Child freindly flight

...We had flown and the experience was excellent. The staff was very freindly and helpful.Its a very child freindly flight and the staff has good experience in dealing with kids. For families with children I strongly recommend fly emirates... The flight timings are very comfortable for those doing business in the Asian countries especially India. The staff is very attentive and values the comfort of the customer. We were travelling with our 2 year old son and had requested for a full row, the staff gave us exactly what we had asked for. The food was yummy. My son was very happy on board. I had a very peaceful flight with emirates in this time of july. Where the customer comfort is priority I can only think of one name Emirates....

Emirates - very dissapointing

Advantages: On-time ... erm, on-time ..
Disadvantages: leg room, customer service, entertainment on older aircraft

...missed it - you missed it, there was no "interactive" feature. On the 2nd flight to Dubai the aircraft had the new Emirates "ICE" entertainment which in all fairness is fantastic - i can see why it was voted the best in the world. Just the music selection alone could take you from Auckland and back - and back again to even stratch the surface of! There are also the newest films on demand, a TV channel and lots and lots of sub tv channels showing Discovery, History channel etc. The food on both flights was served within minutes of the aircraft reaching altitude and there is a nice touch where they hand out menus - but to be honest they way I was crammed into my seat on both flights my awareness of "nice touches" was somewhat distorted. Emirates - highly rated!

Advantages: Not having to fly from London Airports, nice food, entertainment choices
Disadvantages: Aircraft getting a bit old, longer journey times, shopping temptation in Dubai

...of airline food but Emirates grub is definitely above average. There is a full bar (no champagne though) and the crew come round fairly regularly. The food seems to reflect where the flight is going to (usually oriental food in my case) but can be quite varied. The flight from BHX to Dubai is my favourite as they don't stop feeding you - for a seven hour flight, there is a main meal, several drinks rounds, Loseley ice cream (a bit random but yummy) and tea and cakes before landing! Skywards - I am a member of the frequent flyer programme and have just collected enough points for a one way upgrade. I can't really comment on whether it is a good scheme as I haven't flown enough to enjoy many benefits. However, I think it can't hurt to join these programmes. Larnaca to Malta - the Emirates way

Advantages: Spacious seats, choice of economy or business class, good onboard facilities.
Disadvantages: A little pricey for a short journey. Crew uniforms could be brightened up a bit.

...Each February we make our way from Cyprus to Malta, to join my parents whilst they are there on holiday. From Cyprus, there are 2 airlines to choose from, or so they would have you believe - Air Malta or Emirates. Choose Air Malta and it will cost you more and you will end up on Emirates anyway, as it's a code share flight. So, we're lucky! We get to fly on with a great airline, fab service, good food, excellent entertainment and, dare I say it - no delays!
