2 Years Plus…
The UPS is still going strong, very few have problems, and a warranty checker is available at http://www.apc.com if you have any problems.
The only thing that does seem to show up about the two-year mark is the battery. Many of the UPS’s we have need the battery changing in about year 2 to 3. Having said that, 2 to 3 years is not bad for battery life! I can cope with that.
New batteries from APC can be on the expensive side (Around £35+VAT), but non-APC equivalents can be obtained easily and at a much better...

Scrumptious Salmon en Croute
Review of Tesco Finest Salmon en Croute by
daylehall
Advantages: Delicious pastry and filling
Disadvantages: Expensive and only available at Tesco
...My boyfriend and I recently invited some friends round for dinner and as we were looking around our local Tesco's for something tasty to dish up, we came across Tesco's Finest Salmon en Croute.
Packaging
Tesco's Finest Salmon en Croute comes in a cardboard box which is decorated in the same sort of style as other Tesco's Finest products. The box is black and grey in colour with Tesco's Finest written across the front. Salmon en Croute is also written across the front and there is a large picture of the product when it is cooked splashed across the front also. There is also a product description on the packaging which states 'Prime salmon fillet. Butter enriched puff pastry. Spinach and lemon sauce.'
Once you open the box, there are two Salmon en Croute's inside which sit on a plastic tray.
Cost
Each packet contains two Salmon en...

Free Pornography
Review of Channel 5 by
kfingleton
Advantages: It's free
Disadvantages: It's shit
...Some people still cannot receive Channel Five where they live. While they may moan about it, they don’t know how lucky they are. I’m not sure what the competition comprised of when C5 won the right to broadcast, but it must have been pretty awful. What follows is my first completely negative review of a TV station. If you like C5, it’s best you look away now or prepare to be offended.
If C5 has one redeeming feature it is that few people are actually stupefied enough to watch it. Its viewing figures are awful, only just better than the subscription-based Sky One, a channel that offers marginally better programming. Its only other redeeming feature is that it has news on the hour, but with its horribly tasteless and bright graphics and studio, it is sore on the eye to watch. And when I have BBC News 24 I know...

Channel 5 - At Least There's an Alternative
Review of Channel 5 by
Vistaway
Advantages: Unique, alternative programs and viewpoint
Disadvantages: Doesn't fit everyone's tastes
...It would seem that everyone and their dog think that Channel 5 air nothing but filth and is completely useless. I have to disagree, as C5 air programs that the other networks wouldn't consider. They fund alternative material with topics and opinions that fall through the cracks at BBC et al. I can remember when the network was conceived as a copy of hugely popular Canadian Network City TV. City was and still is one of the most powerful media operations in Canada, all from a channel that was built on three pillars: News, Movies, Music. The C5 people added sport to that mix, but stayed quite faithful, even copying the newsroom and presentation style exactly. It was the unique alternative programs that put City TV on the map, and C5 is moving in the same direction. C5 is most often criticized for their airing of adult programs. City...

Review of Best Of En Vogue, The - En Vogue by
salvolati
Advantages: great music
Disadvantages: ???????????
...This classic en vogue album is a definite must have. I borrowed it from a house mate at uni and really did not want to return it but being the ideal house mate that I am - I did..... Anyway this was amazing as it cluded old favourites such as hold on and never never gonna get it and more modern tunes such as whatever. I would recommend this tune to anyone who likes good R'N'B. The packaging of the CD is great as it is a very classic style. Also it's one of those CDs which can be played over and over again - a classic! What do you think ...........

THAT'S ONE FINE INSTRUMENT
Review of Yamaha C5 - 6´ 7 Conservatory Collection Grand Piano by
Jaxle
Advantages: Fantastic sound and stunning looks
Disadvantages: Better available – but at even more of a cost!
...OK, Grand Pianos. As a huge fan of the piano, I thought that I would write an opinion on one of the best I’ve ever played – the Yamaha C5. I have the pleasure of being able to play a brand new C5 regularly, and I will say right from the start that it is absolutely fantastic.
Let me start with a quick introduction to (arguably) one of the best modern-day piano manufacturers – Yamaha. The company was founded in 1887, when Torakusu Yamaha constructed his first ever piano in Japan. Now just look how far Yamaha have come – they now make virtually all musical instruments (both acoustic and electric) and have a huge selection of electronic equipment to aid music making. Oh yes, there is also the motor company too!
Yep, they certainly have a fantastic reputation. Yamaha pianos can be found in several major concert halls across the world...

Citroen C5 SX 2.2 HDi
Review of Citroen C5 2.2HDi by
WelshRebel
Advantages: Excellent cruiser; Super fuel economy; Powerful engine; Equipment levels
Disadvantages: Difficult to keep clean!!
...I bought my C5 as a replacement for an ageing 406 HDi. Any car I own has to be an excellent cruiser, comfortable and reliable and (touch wood) the C5 has been all of these. In the 5 months I\'ve owned it, I\'ve covered approx 9000 miles. The only costs I\'ve had are a full service and cambelt when I bought it (I always do this with every car I buy) and 4 wheel alignment (car was scrubbing the front tyres). Apart from this - nothing else.
The equipment levels of this car are great. The air con is a boon; the c.d. player gives good playback, although the radio reception can be a bit hit and miss at times; the on board computer gives interesting statistics (!); the automatic lights are a boon; automatic wipers are great; the cruise control a God send on long journeys. All in all, it has everything I want and need in a car
Another reason I...

Compaq's are very reliable.
Review of Compaq Deskpro EN Space Saver - PIII 933 MHz by
Snowman99
Advantages: Good Solid reliable computer
Disadvantages: Fiddly to upgrade the memory or hard drive.
...I run a charity that gives computers to disabled peole. Mostly, I have had Compaq computers donated to me for this project and I can honestly say that they are about 99% reliable.
Of the over 300+ computers donated so far,270+ have been Deskpro EN series, and I have only had 3 callbacks for problems on the units.Normally a plug I hadn't pushed in properly. All the other have proved to be no problem at all.
I myself use a Deskpro EN at home, and it has worked flawlessly for over 1.5 years, and its on 24 hours a day. It is also the server for a local LAN in my house, and is the master for Internet connection sharing. Faultless in operation, I would not hesitate to recommend this marque to anybody looking for a reliable unit.
Any business looking for long term reliability, and a good strong workhorse should definately consider a Compaq...

Free your mind
Review of Best Of En Vogue, The - En Vogue by
jonathancowley
Advantages: classic songs from the 1990s
Disadvantages: none
...The Best of En Vogue is definitely a must have for anybody who wants to see how girl groups should be done. It starts off with the massive hit My Lovin' (You're Never Gonna Get It), which sets an extremely high standard for the rest of the album to follow. After that you get the ballad Hold On and the funky Whatta Man (recorded with Salt'N'Pepa). The 4th track is possibly my favourite on the album, "Free Your Mind", which is a melodic rant against prejudice in all it's forms.
Don't Let Go (Love) is next up, and is another ballad with the En Vogue ladies in perfect harmony over an understated backdrop. There are 14 tracks on the album - I won't go through them all, but they tend to range from girl-power type songs like Whatta Man, Lies and Let It Flow, to more ballad-type tracks such as No Fool No More, Love Don't Love You and Giving...

Moody Blues
Review of Sony CMT-C5 by
MrMetropolitan
Advantages: Great Image, Compact, Quality Components
Disadvantages: Avantgarde styling will not appeal to all
...The Sony CMT-C5 has been on the UK market for around 18 months now and is coming to the end of its production run. The good news is, if you can still find it in the shops, retailers have reduced the price from the original rrp of £599 to around £350. At £350, this mini hi-fi system is a steal. On release this was Sony's mini-system range-topper and is therefore loaded with features and has quality components throughout. My advice would be, if you can find it - buy it.
Even before it is switched on this little unit is cool. The system itself is chrome-sided with a smoky, black fascia. To give an idea of size, the fascia is the same size as a CD-case (the unit's footprint is about twice that). The speakers are a mean-looking, metal and black gloss finish and look as though they were sculpted in a wind tunnel.
When you switch the unit on...
