...This review is on ?Emerge Energy Drink? As I sit here and write this review I wonder how this drink can be sold for 24p which is a saving of over £1.00 if compared to its nearest rival. Now is that because it?s poor taste, nasty ingredients or something else! Well I hope to explain that to you during this review. This could "EMERGE " as the best energy drink!

Advantages: Ok tasting and seems to give a little energy boost.
Disadvantages: Full of sugar and calories.

...I am not nor have I ever been very big into energy drinks but as I get older in years and heavier in weight I seem to rely on them more and more to get me through my hour of five aside football every week. I loathe paying the price for things like red bull and the other leading brands so I often resort to Asda`s own and things like that but the new kid on the block for me is one called Emerge. Party like a rockstar with rockstar energy drink

Advantages: It's not too pricey for the 500ml can - tastes pretty good - gives a great energy boost
Disadvantages: I've only managed to find it in Tesco

Advantages: It's fairly cheap and serves its purpose as an energy drink.
Disadvantages: Slightly nasty taste followed by an even nastier aftertaste.

...Rockstar Energy Drink About this drink: Well apart from the immediate "Rockstar make drinks since when?" reaction, then followed by the immediate disappointment when you realise it's not the same Rockstar Inc, there's nothing incredibly noteworthy about this drink. It DOES claim to be "Double the size, double the kick", presumably being the larger brother of a 250ml can, but despite being advertised on their website, I've never myself seen such a can. Another "interesting" little snippet is that not only is there an "Original flavour" (which I can only presume tastes vile), you can also get your grubby little mits on guava, mango, pomegranate, and, wait for it, coffee flavours. Yes, that's right. Coffee flavoured caffeine. What will they think of next(!) Appearance, aroma, argh? To the eye: It's a rather worrying yellow colour...

IF YOU WANT TO ROCK ALL NIGHT-DRINK ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK

...ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK. I am always looking for different energy drinks for my daughter who needs them to maintain her energy levels because she has ME.. This energy drink contains the powerful herbal ingredients of Guarana,Ginkgo,Ginseng and Milk Thistle which when all these ingredients are put together they can provide an amazing energy drink for anyone who needs an energy boost. Also there is caffeine in the drink as well. The best way to enjoy the drink is to have it chilled. It is very refreshing and it is not too fizzy. The mango flavour one yes you taste the mango and also the one that has guava in it. There is also another drink which has pomegranate in it but that one I did not enjoy as much neither did my daughter but it does depend on the individual and their taste. Rockstar Energy Drink! Party like a rockstar.

Advantages: Generous sizing, gives you a BOOST of energy and tasty.
Disadvantages: Possibly harmful in copious amounts.

So what, I drink rockstar, but I`m not hyper...tralala

Advantages: Tastes nice and comes in a good looking tin.
Disadvantages: Does not do much for energy levels in my opinion.

...Energy drinks come in so many fashions these days, probably the most popular or at least the most well known is Red Bull, then you have all the others that are looking for a piece of the energy drink market with everyone from the Lucozade brand down to asda and Tesco themselves offering drinks that will supposedly fill you with energy. I have yet to see any positive proof that these really do give you any more energy than that, that you would get from any other fizzy drink and it is basically all down to the glucose and sugar contents these drinks have, which is also why they all taste so sickeningly sweet. Advantages: Tasty energy drink

Typical values per 100ml: Energy ? 202 kj / 47 kcal, Protein ? 0g, Carbohydrate ? 11.5g, Fat ? 0g, Vitamins - Niacin 8mg (44% RDA), Pantothenic acid 2mg (33% RDA), B6 2mg (100% RDA), B12 2µg (200% RDA) RDA = Recommended Daily Allowance So what does it taste like? I like to try differebnt energy drinks but this has to be my favourite. I love Irn Bru and this is exactly that but with the added caffine. It tastes much better than many of its rivals, and at 79p for 330 ml compared with 99p for 250ml of Red Bull represents good value. Oh did you know that it origially came in a 250ml can but then they made it bigger. How much bigger, if you?ve not aready guessed it its 32%. I personally find that I would need to drink 2 cans to really feel a difference but it does work. Why not give this one a go sometime?..its Phenomonal. Also...

Advantages: Does what it says - gave me a BIG blast of energy!

There are many other brands of energy drink as well, the market is full of them all and sometimes the choice isn't easy. Whilst Red Bull is the leading brand there are others such as: Monster, Rockstar, Full Throttle, Gatorade, Tesco Diet Kick, Lucozade Sport, XS Energy Drinks, Zappa Energy drink and Relentless to name, but a few. I would say that somewhere at the bottom of this list in terms of popularity comes Emerge. You can purchase Emerge from places such as, Lidl, Netto, Asda and Poundland where it is sold at around 0.30GBP depending on where you buy it and the offers available at the time.
