...I was bought from JJB, the Ladies England Home shirt for my birthday in October 05. My fiance had J Cole 11 printed on it by JJB. I was delighted with the present and loved the feel of it. The material is great, the cut is very flattering for ladies and I was proud of the shirt, especially with the name of my favourite international on the back. I washed the shirt by hand and I noticed little blue bits from the lettering had gone onto the white shirt. The problem wasn't that bad and I expected it to come out in the next wash so I didn't complain to JJB at the time. I hardly wore the shirt as I was saving it for the World Cup. Good looking shirt!

Advantages: great price looks and comfort
Disadvantages: last seasons shirt (but little difference to the new one)

...a Portsmouth shirt as they are a good premiership team and have a nice looking shirt and one which I can easily wear around Portsmouth. Though it would not be a good idea to wear it in Southampton - as I was warned by my friend! The shirt is in the colour of plain blue with a small white stripe around the border of the shirt and down the shoulders. It looks really good being just blue as I like wearing blue and the fact that it is relatively plain means it can be worn with most things and will not look too out of place. On the left hand side on the chest (if you are wearing it) it has the Portsmouth football club badge with the blue background which is slightly darker than the shirt and the yellow star and crescent moon underneath. Glory Glory Tottenham Hotspur - Mansion shirt

Advantages: Ultra light - great for all occasions
Disadvantages: Spurs wording fades on the collar very quickly

...Ok, first things first, I have no idea why this is listed as a Kappa kit. It is made by Puma as Kappa made the older Thomsons kit. Right, now thats out of the way, on with the review. Being a Spurs fan since 1981 I've had numerous kits down the years from manufacturers including Le Coq Sportif, Hummel, Adidas, Umbro and Kappa. All of these shirts at the time seemed great but only when newer styles come out do you realise the design flaws in them (the Kappa one for example was skin tight which looks great on a skinny Aaoron Lennon but not so on anyone like me with a bit of a porky belly). With a new stadium, comes a new shirt!

Advantages: A nice looking, comfortable football shirt
Disadvantages: The 'Fly Emirates' lettering has started to peel off on my shirt!

Celtic Nike home shirt 07/08

Advantages: Good material, available cheaper now.
Disadvantages: Out of date for 08/09 season.

...A tribute shirt to the European Cup winning Lisbon Lions of 1967, and a shirt that I love. Probably my favourite set of 'the hoops' I have owned. Made from a stronger, better quality material than Nike used for the previous home shirt. Better shade of green than the previous effort aswell. Bottom right of the shirt as in the picture is stitching which says "It's a grand old team to play for". A nice touch. The badge is encircled by embroidery which is in Portuguese about the Lisbon Lions 40 th anniversairy. It is important to bear in mind that since this shirt is to commemorate the 1966/67 season victory, it will only be in use by the Celtic first team for the 2007/08 season. However this has benefits as the shirt is now available for around £10 if you shop around. All in all a great effort from Nike....

A poor quality footy shirt from a big club

Advantages: light material, a good colour scheme, neat design
Disadvantages: feels cheap, expensive, hard to wash

...I was bought the Barcalona football shirt as a present it is made by Nike and I would expect a good quality from this brand. Not so the shirt is feather light and is very hard to wash, on the tab in the shirt it says dont not lay ontiself after washing, wash with same colours and do not use softeners,probably because the colours may run into each other. Also you are not supposed to iron this shirt, for a couple of reasons one it may melt and two could stick to your iron, it has a very plasticy feel. I also read on the tab it says keep away from fire!, without doubt we do this with all our clothes, but I find myself thinking this shirt would melt very very easily. The material is more plasticy/nylon/polyester than anything probably to aid the lightness but it isnt very durable, it could rip easy as we see many times watching...

Football shirts in general!

Advantages: Last years kit but only £10!
Disadvantages: Not the newest kit!

...lightweight shirt becauseof the material. This means its good for hot weather ( non existant in England I know!). The home kit from this season is also very nice and similar to this kit. I much prefer this kit to the following two away kits. Last years was purple and white. This years is a marroon and black. Whilst older city fans may prefer the more traditional approach this season I still prefer this kit from two seasons ago for its more modern look. The price Well when this kit came out it would have cost you £35 at a minimum. The home kit still would have been £40. With football kits the best thing to do is find out your size then buy it off Ebay. There you may get it slightly cheapers. With last seasons kits however the prices plummet, much like last seasons fashion! I recently bought last seasons away kit (the purple one ) for £10...

...As an avid Manchester City supporter from as far as I can remember I have owned every seasons home shirt and even picked up a few away shirts en route. The only problem I could find with this shirt is on the inside left hand side of the shirt - the back of the badge which irritates the nipple when running or jogging or imitating your favourite City players. The shirt has a sleek round neck design with white and black bands around the shoulder area. The front and back of the shirt has a small detail to it which makes it stand out but I must admit it stands out more when your outside in the wet. It can also been seen up close when you get your shirt out of the washing machine as its machine washable also after that muddy days football! Many argue that the best form of practice is to play games, but the argument so far certainly disagrees with that philosophy. Is the influx of foreign players to blame?
