Advantages: Clean, private, good breakfast, take your time to travel Disadvantages: No dining car on our train, not easy for the less mobile
...I was so looking forward to travelling to Vienna through the Rhine valley on the night train. I imagined gazing up at flood lit Austrian castles under the stars, eating a meal in the dining car amongst crystal and porcelain, clinking wine glasses with my husband as we celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary. Somehow, the whole vision took place in black and white and amidst steam and whistles (think The Lady Vanishes, The 39 Steps or Brief Encounter)
Could the reality ever live up to my ideal?

Advantages: The largest museum of technology in the world, More than 15,000 exhibits, enbelievable size of the museum Disadvantages: none
...I had to opportunity to see this museum a few years ago. I went to Munich from Austria just for one day or I can say just for a few hours. That’s why I couldn’t see Munich properly, However I was luck that I visited this museum.
Deutsches Museum is a world-famous museum. We were told that every year over one million people visit this museum. What makes it world-famous is that it is the largest museum of technology in the world. You cannot figure out how big it is before going to Munich and visiting the museum. It is located on an island in the city. The museum’s exhibition area spread over four floors. The museum has over 15.000 exhibits.
The museum is divided into 45 sections on four floors. You can see the original vehicles in the basement and on the ground floor. When you see all those cars, trains, aircrafts...
...remain sit up to stop Isar gate. Then on foot there are maybe still 600 ms, as soon as to her the Isar has crossed the IMAX cinema and then the German museum is on the right page along the Isar first.
In the foyer there are two cash desks, the entry price amounts for an adult 12, - however, there are still different combination rates which are connected with a visit of the airport or the flight shipyard at tench home. I think this if something was too much for the report here if you can liked to know more about that to her in the Internet under http://www.deutsches-museum.de/info/allgem/infoall.html
look, there are also the pupil's rates, etc. performed. Who is on occasion in Munich, to that I would become the ten card for 80, - recommend, then it can be used since also for the animal park Hellabrunn. In the cash desks a free folder is...
Advantages: An impressive sight, easy to get to, free Disadvantages: Some people might expect "more"
...The Deutsches Eck is probably Koblenz?s most celebrated attraction. It?s the headland where the rivers Rhine and Moselle meet, right in the heart of the city and the name Deutsches Eck translates literally as "German corner". Now, while it is certainly quite impressive to see these two mighty rivers become one, it?s not the only reason that this spot is worth visiting.
Towering over the headland, perched on an enormous plinth, there is a statue of Emperor Wilhelm I which was designed by Bruno Schmitz (who was also responsible for the war memorial in Leipzig). The statue was erected to commemorate the part he played in the struggle for German union. It stands over 14 metres high and as well as Wilhelm on horseback it features a representation of the winged goddess of Victory.
It?s a statue with an interesting history. In 1945 it...
Advantages: Cheaper than local competitor Lufthansa Disadvantages: Almost no frills, unsuitable for Business Class passengers
...Having flown Deutsche BA, the German subsidiary of British Airways, around thirty times, I still don't fully understand their service concept. In a local market strongly dominated by German flag carrier Lufthansa, Deutsche BA repeats every mistake made by Lufthansa, and adds new flaws of itself.
DBA currently operate two routes between the UK and Germany, i.e. from Gatwick to Hamburg and Munich, as well as seven domestic routes in Germany (Munich to Berlin, Cologne, Duesseldorf and Hamburg as well as Berlin to Cologne, Duesseldorf and Stuttgart). Instead of echoing BA's (unpopular) strategy of attracting Business passengers and getting rid of backpackers (with a class concept that mirrors British society in the 19th century), Deutsche BA does the absolute opposite and annoys (pisses off would be more accurate) Business Class...

Review of Deutsche BA
...By the look of it a German electro-industrial band, Deutsch Nepal is not a name I've come across before and so I'm filled with even more trepidation than normal when putting this into the CD player. I say "even more than normal" because this kind of music, although it has its standout musicians in the same way as any other genre, seems to have a large number of soundalike bands who all end up producing "spooky trance" or waves of electronic noise.
The cover features (on the front) a picture of a middle-aged, puffy-faced woman wearing too much make up and with her mouth wide open. I have no idea why they thought this might sell more copies of the album. On the back cover is a picture of a group of people with the heads of snarling dogs. How nice.
So onto the music?
U.R Blackhouse (the first track) had too long and repetitive...
Advantages: Clean, cheap, fast and efficient Disadvantages: Occasional delays (but nowhere near as bad as in Britain), some trains are getting old
...I have lived in Germany for just over 2 years now, and as I don’t have a car over here, I have relied almost exclusively on public transport, and the trains of Deutsche Bahn (the German railway network) in particular, to get around on my travels. While there have been some dodgy moments, I can say that the service offered to rail passengers in Germany beats anything on offer in Britain into a cocked hat, even if the locals here do like to moan and whinge if a train is a couple of minutes late!
The opinions I have read on train travel in the UK, coupled with my own frustrating experiences of the railways on my visits to England, have left me with the overwhelming impression that the newly-privatised network in Britain has a hell of a long way to go. The old British Rail slogan (in the good old days of a slightly more reliable...
...If you have any interest in popular science books such as those by Stephen Hawkings or Richard Dawkins, then this is a must read book.
Claiming to be a "theoty of everything", rather than looking at the universe from the point of view of just physics, Deutsch considers the apparently disparate strands of quantum theoty, computational theory, philosophy and evolution, to give an intriguing and coherent picture of the universe.
Deutsch takes what is currently (but not with controversy)the leading theoty in each of these areas and considers the insights they give to each other.
In places it can be hard going, just because some of the concepts are counter to common sense (especially the section on time and time travel), but it is generally clearly written. The examples and illustrations are helpful. The tone of the author can...
Advantages: very well known company Disadvantages: none
...What to do? The question is the most common one, when talking about money. How to make my money grow? Saving? Investing? It looks a very simple thing, but it is not that simple specially to beginners, and I include myself to the beginning group, I am just starting to think about the future as primarily most of the young generation live to the present, day by day.
Savings! What is that make someone save and not invest? Saving has in its conception no risk, you put your money into your account and it will grow. Invest? Now we are talking about risk, and your money can go up or down but basically all depends of the kind of the investment and the sort of money you have to invest.
