...I had the old Braun silk-epil since about 1999 and when it gave up the ghost I started shaving again. After a couple of months I noticed that I was hairier than usual and got really annoyed at having to shave every couple of days so decided to invest in another of Braun's epilators. I seen the advertisement on television and thought they had came out with a perfect way to remove unwanted hair.So I sent off for it and got it in about 4 weeks.I was so excited that I did not have to shave anymore and have those nasty cuts or razor burns.But what a mistake I made by tring Epil Stop for about 2 months.Wrong........ The time I used Epil Stop, there was some minor burning. But I thought maybe it's suppose to do that.It removed my hairs on my legs and I thought this was great.(Boy, was I wrong!) ...I bought this product to replace an older version from a different manufacturer that I have had for about five years. I moved from North America to the UK and my old epilator wasn't dual voltage, so buying a new one was easier than the variety of adaptors and step down devices I would have had to find to keep using the old one. Because I've been epilating so long, its hard for me to comment on the pain level of the Braun vs any other epilator as I really don't get much pain from the process anymore. At first it does hurt when you use it, but in my experience your skin gets accustomed, your hair roots get weaker, and the whole process gets quicker and easier. Braun epilator - a great choice!

Advantages: Efficient and quick, useful light.

...Although very unsure about using an epilator,I finally bit the bullet and bought this one 2 months ago. The first time I switched it on I was shocked at how loud it was and how scary the tweezers looked, but soon got into the swing of it. The small light on the front of it really helps to show up little hairs youve missed and the choice between a beginners head and a more advanced head really allows you to break yourself into the experience gently. The arrow head attachment also allows accuracy in a smaller area. Ever since though Ive had great results with it, much better than anything that I was getting from razors or waxing! Its not cheap but I would say its well worth the money. The little bag it all comes in and the inclusion of the ice pack aswell is very useful....
