...Having purchased a number of the C1100's predecessor, the AcuLaser C900, purchasing one of these was seen as a natural step, and is a step that has not proved dissapointing. The printer comes well packaged, and protected, it what is possibly a slightly oversized box! Following the instructions through the initial setup is easy, and your also guided by the LCD display. Once you have installed the various consumables, and hooked it up to you PC via either a Parallel or USB connection, installing the drivers (on Win XP) was also straight forward. When printing it can take a short while to get going, but isn't anything other than you'd expect of a laser printer, and is also reasonably quiet. The print quality is good, and for general colour printing in an office envrionment, it proves excellent value for money. The one thing to beware... Read review

...Last year my farther felt the need to get rid of our old inkjet and replace it with the AcuLaser C900 which to me seemed like a good idea as we tend to print quite a lot. however several months down the line I'm not 100% convinced it was the right decision. Good points: • Does good quality colour and B/W prints. • Prints large documents much faster than your standard ink jet. • Easy to set up via USB. Bad points: • Very noisy especially when you turn it on and start printing. • Slow to start printing so would be no good for the odd couple of pages. • Consumables are very expensive. • As you might expect the are very large printers. I would recommend this printer to you if you were either a small business or if you printed a lot of longish documents. I would definitely say no if you are a low... Read review

Advantages: Reliable, handles high volumes

We use this as network printer and to date has been extremely reliable, considering it's being used in an accounts department and sees a high volume of statements, letter and invoices running through it. Advantages: Extreemly Fast Colour Printing and superb Quality

...I bought this Laser Printer to use for my small home based Business having previously had a Small Epson Colour inkjet which like most epson injet printers had suffered the blocked print head of death i also had a small samsung black and white laser printer which needed a new toner cartridge which would have cost more than i paid for the printer in the first place so i decided to go for the all in one option of a colour laser in recent years the costs of colour laser printers has dropped greatly and this model cost me £195+Vat which all things considered isn't bad atall especialy for a high profile brand such as Epson set up took a while as it wasn't as simple as open the top and put the cartrdges in like you would with an inkjet instead having to press buttons and wait for the internals of the machine to get ready for the next... Advantages: Superb Colour Quality
Disadvantages: Bit big, bit noisy and a bit fiddly

...I've lived with ink-jet printers for years. Canon gave me the first bubble-jet and Epson have supplied the later models - various models of Stylus including C80, C84 and C86. They get heavy use for work and all have given some headaches with clogged heads. So a mixture of desperation and hope, together with keen pricing, has led me down the colour laser printer road. The Epson Aculaser may not be a cute laser, but it does work a treat. Specification ++++++++++ I'll not go into all the technical stuff, it is readily available from Epson's site or any of the dealers. But what you need to know is that this printer uses a laser and is a 4 pass machine, doing each colour separately. That makes it a tad slower than single pass machines... but much cheaper. ...In modern buisiness, as with newspapers in the last 15 years, Colour is creeping more and more into our printed documents. No longer will Black Ink on a white page suffice. Now it is expected that printing sould be multicolour or your print outs will look dated. It was with this in mind that my department were set the task of finding a suitable Colour Laser printer that was great quality, affordable and reliable. With this brief in mind, It was the Epson AcuLaser C4100 that we settled on. However, it still has good and bad points as I will discuss. Firstly, lets look at....... It is big! that is one thing that will strike you and heavy too! It will need a good sturdy desk to support its weight. Most office printers nowadays with additional Paper bins are big but this one is massive! We also have monochrome Lexmarks in the office... Read review

...At only £399 including VAT for this colour laser printer, it's really quite hard to fault it for the money. It's only recently that the prices have come down for colour lasers, so they are now in the price range for the small office. We have only just recently bought our third C900, having had several of the older Epson C1000 printers before. Needing to get another laser, my first intentions were to get another C1000, but they had unfortunately been replaced by the smaller (and cheaper) C900 so we thought we would give it a try. Luckily for us, the gamble has definately paid off. The printer is of average size for a printer of this type (about the size of a 21" TV) so can just about fit on a desk, but we found it far better to stick ours on a small table beside the desk.
