Epson EMP S4, one small, great projector
Review of Epson EMP S4 by  koobra

Advantages: Portable, quick to turn on/off, very easy to set up and use.
Disadvantages: Loud cooling system, rubbish internal speaker.

...I bought 10 Epson EMP S4 projectors for school I work for at summer 2006. Below you will find my personal opinion after one year of using and maintaining that product, but first short description. Epson EMP S4 is updated (in 2006) version of EMP S3. Epson's EMP S(x) line of projectors is design to suit mobile and office users. And it does it perfectly. It's small (33X25X9cm) and light (2.6kg). It comes with small remote control and a bag with shoulder strap. It's brightness (1800 ANSI lumens) and resolution (800x600) is sufficient to display presentation (text, photos and short movies) at 2-6m distance onto white wall or whiteboard (usage professional project screen will improve image brightness and sharpness) in bright room. It has three types of video inputs (15 pin VGA, S-video and composite video input), so at the same time... Read review

Epson EMP X5
Review of Epson EMP X5 by  LogitechUSAUK

Advantages: Good price
Disadvantages: Low resolution

...This is projector is affordable but still has some positive features. The resolution of 1024 x 768 allows clear projection with much detail. However if you are interested in High definition or multimedia i would not recommend this. However for business or education this is perfect. The 2200 ANSI Lumens allows the pictures to be very bright in well lit conditions. It was very easy to set this up and epson provided all the cables in needed. This epson website is also very helpful for driver and software updates. Even though this is not a DLP projector i think this projector meets its demands nicely and is a good price. Other products to consider would be the Optoma range since they also are very good.... Read review

Project your personality
Review of Epson EMP TW10H by  guydavies123

Advantages: Outstanding quality and colour. Incredible value for money.
Disadvantages: Can overheat, doesn't work well in daylight.

...The Epson EMP-TW10H is brilliant! When I went to look for projectors in several shops I realised my fears that I wasn’t going to be bale to get a decent one for under a grand that would be good for a home cinema. Obviously, like most, I don’t just have this kind of money just floating around for me to use and I would have to think very seriously about such a purchase. Then I saw the Epson EMP-TW10H and was surprised at how cheap even for any projector it was. It was retailing in PC world for £300. So I thought there is no harm in asking about it. The assistant informed me that unfortunately it wouldn’t be able to handle moving images and that it would be no use for a home cinema, but I persisted and asked to see it in action. The shop assistant brushed the dust of the old charm and started it up with a DVD and he himself was surprised... Read review

Project Yourself
Review of Epson EMP S5 by  sghawken

Advantages: Movies like they are meant to be seen
Disadvantages: Pricely bulbs

...purchased the Epson EMP S5 projector from play.com for £250. Expense would not have been an issue selling my prize TV pocketed me well over £1000, so I could have gone higher but to be perfectly honest I thought this was the same projector I used at work, which was good enough for me. So my projector arrived and I soon realised that it was not the same one I use at work, but that was fine I still wanted it, I NEEDED it in fact. Setting up the projector is a doddle, more so than setting up a TV, you simply position the projector where you want it and plug the wires in. You can have sound through the projector, but having a cinema sound DVD player I never felt there was much reason to do this, onboard sound being only mono. You can connect a DVD player via AVI sockets or S Video socket; however there is no HDMI or Scart option. I should... Read review

The perfect MD-MT821H
Review of Sharp MD-MT821H by  Ajay

Advantages: recharge while play/record. V.short recharge time
Disadvantages: none

...I am convinced the MT-821 is the work horse unit of the group. This unit can record and play while being recharged, and has a great battery life. The thing about the unit that amazes me is the rechargin time. I know it says it takes 3 hours or so to recharge a fully dead battery, but for me its no longer than 45 min! I think the unit is sturdy, although the lense is loud when it moves, the clamshell feature is well built. I have had the unit suffer many minor falls, and one major fall to the pavement from 3 feet. Only thing it suffered was a small ding in the clamshell top, the unit didn't open quite right when i first tried to open it after this, but it has since RESET itself to open properly. :~D Only problem i have ever had is using the original power supply (from japan). When i charge the unit, if playing it will stop and wont play... Read review

Big tv without the big bucks!
Review of Epson EMP TW10H by  steel28

Advantages: small box of tricks, easy to use
Disadvantages: remote control is silly small but does the job.

...I bought my Epson TW10H from OYYY.co.uk about 2 years ago for £469. The website itself is superb, very comprehensive and the aftersales service is second to none. More importantly for me, they're based in Halifax which is quite local for me and it's very difficult to beat them on price! So the projector, what's it like? Well, I would consider this to be an entry level projector. I currently have mine hooked up to my sky+ box, desktop PC, Xbox 360 and Home Theatre DVD player. Connections are adequate although there is no HDMI port on this version. Having said that the picture quality is good. I don't have a screen to project onto, just a blank jasmine white wall and personally I don't think, if you have the wall space, you need to spend an extra £100+ on a special screen. It can be a little noisier than it's competitors so... Read review

If anyone can Epson can
Review of Epson Stylus C64 by  izzwizz

Advantages: Cheap, excellent print quality, brilliant new ink technology
Disadvantages: Replacement cartridges are expensive

...Our Canon BJC-6200 was finally binned this week. Whooppee! The Canon BJC-620 died about two months ago and was replaced with an Epson Stylus C64. We liked it so much we bought... no, not the company, but we did buy another one! The new one arrived today, and I thought it would be good to write the review of this printer as I unpack the box and plug it in, then tell you a bit about why I like it so much. Here goes... THE PACKAGING The first thing to notice is that as the sellotape is removed from the top of the box, a good amount of the pretty green external colouring comes with it. This reassures me that the box hasn't been opened before. The outer carton is sturdy, and inside there is a small piece of cardboard and the usual unrecyclable polystyrene packaging. The packaging was good enough to see the printer delivered to me... Read review

Excellent Epson
Review of Epson Stylus DX8400 by  almarsden

Advantages: Good Quality Prints & Lots Of Useful Features
Disadvantages: Small Colour Ink Provided

...Epson Stylus DX8400 Before Christmas we set out looking for a new printer for the computers as we didn't currently have one and were fed up of using my dads to print stuff out. We went into the local town of Burton on Trent and found a computer shop they had quite a wide selection of printers, after having a look through them we decided we would like an Epson because they are reliable, cartridges aren't overly expensive and Epson is a trusted brand that we have used previously without any problem. So having decided upon an Epson we narrowed the model down and picked the Epson Stylus DX8400 it had everything we wanted and also had a cool LCD display screen for viewing status information and also images that are downloaded off any memory cards which I thought was a really useful feature. The Epson Stylus DX8400 is far from... Read review

Epson Stylus C66
Review of Epson Stylus C66 by  Tinkerbella1

Advantages: Good Quality Printing, cheap cartridges
Disadvantages: Slow

...In the past I have always had a Lexmark printer but the prices of the cartridges (between £30 and £35 each) put me off. A friend bought a Epson for Christmas last year and told me what a good printer it was and the price of the cartridges which was a lot cheaper than Lexmark so when my printer broke I decided to give Epson a go. I went to my local computer shop and explained that I wanted an Epson printer that could print photos and normal documents and was reccomended the C66. The printer cost me £65.00 but you can surrently get it in your local Argos for £59.99 and I believe some shops may sell it cheaper. The shop where I brought the printer said if when I need ink I go back there I will get the four cartridges for £20.00 (£27.99 in Argos). Unlike Lexmark printers where you pay £35 for a colour cartridge and £30 for a black... Read review

An Epson the size of an average dog
Review of Epson Stylus Photo R300 by  Kingseany

Advantages: Great value, loads of features, high quality prints, fast
Disadvantages: Price of ink - but that's nothing unusual

...I swore blind I’d never buy another Epson printer, after the last one lasted just past it’s warranty, and to be honest became a real pain in the lower regions long before that. Still, the temptation was too much, the price and features pulled me in once again to an Epson – the R300. Unpacking As with all new products these days, there seems to be a tendency to stuff the box full of all sorts of bits and pieces, so when you first take a look inside it can look a bit daunting. However, a lot is just un-needed extras adding to the mountain of computer junk ending up in the landfill. You get the printer of course, snugly packed in polystyrene. You get a CD-ROM containing Printer Drivers and other software, six cartridges each individually wrapped, a special piece of plastic for CD-printing, power cable, 3 pieces of photo glossy paper (10...
