Epson EMP S4, one small, great projector

Advantages: Portable, quick to turn on/off, very easy to set up and use.
Disadvantages: Loud cooling system, rubbish internal speaker.

...I bought 10 Epson EMP S4 projectors for school I work for at summer 2006. Below you will find my personal opinion after one year of using and maintaining that product, but first short description. Epson EMP S4 is updated (in 2006) version of EMP S3. Epson's EMP S(x) line of projectors is design to suit mobile and office users. And it does it perfectly. It's small (33X25X9cm) and light (2.6kg). It comes with small remote control and a bag with shoulder strap. It's brightness (1800 ANSI lumens) and resolution (800x600) is sufficient to display presentation (text, photos and short movies) at 2-6m distance onto white wall or whiteboard (usage professional project screen will improve image brightness and sharpness) in bright room. Advantages: Good price
Disadvantages: Low resolution

...This is projector is affordable but still has some positive features. The resolution of 1024 x 768 allows clear projection with much detail. However if you are interested in High definition or multimedia i would not recommend this. However for business or education this is perfect. The 2200 ANSI Lumens allows the pictures to be very bright in well lit conditions. It was very easy to set this up and epson provided all the cables in needed. This epson website is also very helpful for driver and software updates. Even though this is not a DLP projector i think this projector meets its demands nicely and is a good price. Other products to consider would be the Optoma range since they also are very good....

Expense would not have been an issue selling my prize TV pocketed me well over £1000, so I could have gone higher but to be perfectly honest I thought this was the same projector I used at work, which was good enough for me. Setting up the projector is a doddle, more so than setting up a TV, you simply position the projector where you want it and plug the wires in. Ideal projector for schools

Advantages: Good quality at low cost - ideal
Disadvantages: Difficulty in playing/ recognising DVD output

...As a teacher - data projectors have openned up a whole new area for the classrooms and now offer complete interactivity with learning. Combined with an interactive board, your projector is a powerful learning tool. As a head of department - I brough 5 of these and have not been let down yet except for my one gripe (see below). When I went to look for projectors in several shops I realised my fears that I wasn?t going to be bale to get a decent one for under a grand that would be good for a home cinema. Obviously, like most, I don?t just have this kind of money just floating around for me to use and I would have to think very seriously about such a purchase. Then I saw the Epson EMP-TW10H and was surprised at how cheap even for any projector it was. It was retailing in PC world for £300. So I thought there is no harm in asking about it. Epson SX515W is an excellent printer.

Advantages: Wireless function is easy, print from anywhere.
Disadvantages: While the black finish is nice, it really is a dust magnet.

...After having Epson printers before, I decided to go for another one. But this time, one with wireless capabilities. In box with the printer is the power cable, USB cable (you need these for the initial set up), a set of cartridges and a small pack of photo paper. Was really easy to set up. We use 3 laptops at home and for the first set up I needed the USB cable. Follow the prompts on the discs and it automatically detects your wireless network. For the 2 additional laptops, I didn't need the USB cable and just had to set them up as "additional computers". It's really easy to install the cartridges. Printer has a helpful little screen to prompt you. Scanning and copying functions are really good. When you scan an item, so long as you computer is switched on, it will appear on the little screen, just select it and it scans...

EPSON Stylus SX515W - stylish, capable but not perfect

No cheating with this Epson Cheetah!

Advantages: Clear colours

...Printers are marvellous things when they work!We bought an Epson DX4000 a couple of years ago after problems with our HP printer. It was reduced in Tesco and as it is a photo copier and printer we thought it was a bargain but decided to check out the cost of the cartridges before buying. We have used various makes of cartridges over the years for previous printers but had been having problems and always having to clean to get good printing so we were wasting ink. We got sample size cartridges with the printer but bought a Multipack so we were ready when a replacement was needed. The Multipack has 4 cartridges, 1 of each black, yellow, magenta and cyan. The box is blue with a picture of a Cheetah and is in the Cheetah range, there are other ranges like Monkey. Hummingbird and Seahorse makinh it easy to spot the one you want to buy...
