Epson EMP X5
Review of Epson EMP X5 by  LogitechUSAUK

Advantages: Good price
Disadvantages: Low resolution

...This is projector is affordable but still has some positive features. The resolution of 1024 x 768 allows clear projection with much detail. However if you are interested in High definition or multimedia i would not recommend this. However for business or education this is perfect. The 2200 ANSI Lumens allows the pictures to be very bright in well lit conditions. It was very easy to set this up and epson provided all the cables in needed. This epson website is also very helpful for driver and software updates. Even though this is not a DLP projector i think this projector meets its demands nicely and is a good price. Other products to consider would be the Optoma range since they also are very good.... Read review

Epson EMP S4, one small, great projector
Review of Epson EMP S4 by  koobra

Advantages: Portable, quick to turn on/off, very easy to set up and use.
Disadvantages: Loud cooling system, rubbish internal speaker.

...I bought 10 Epson EMP S4 projectors for school I work for at summer 2006. Below you will find my personal opinion after one year of using and maintaining that product, but first short description. Epson EMP S4 is updated (in 2006) version of EMP S3. Epson's EMP S(x) line of projectors is design to suit mobile and office users. And it does it perfectly. It's small (33X25X9cm) and light (2.6kg). It comes with small remote control and a bag with shoulder strap. It's brightness (1800 ANSI lumens) and resolution (800x600) is sufficient to display presentation (text, photos and short movies) at 2-6m distance onto white wall or whiteboard (usage professional project screen will improve image brightness and sharpness) in bright room. It has three types of video inputs (15 pin VGA, S-video and composite video input), so at the same time three... Read review

Project your personality
Review of Epson EMP TW10H by  guydavies123

Advantages: Outstanding quality and colour. Incredible value for money.
Disadvantages: Can overheat, doesn't work well in daylight.

...The Epson EMP-TW10H is brilliant! When I went to look for projectors in several shops I realised my fears that I wasn’t going to be bale to get a decent one for under a grand that would be good for a home cinema. Obviously, like most, I don’t just have this kind of money just floating around for me to use and I would have to think very seriously about such a purchase. Then I saw the Epson EMP-TW10H and was surprised at how cheap even for any projector it was. It was retailing in PC world for £300. So I thought there is no harm in asking about it. The assistant informed me that unfortunately it wouldn’t be able to handle moving images and that it would be no use for a home cinema, but I persisted and asked to see it in action. The shop assistant brushed the dust of the old charm and started it up with a DVD and he himself was surprised... Read review

Project Yourself
Review of Epson EMP S5 by  sghawken

Advantages: Movies like they are meant to be seen
Disadvantages: Pricely bulbs

...purchased the Epson EMP S5 projector from play.com for £250. Expense would not have been an issue selling my prize TV pocketed me well over £1000, so I could have gone higher but to be perfectly honest I thought this was the same projector I used at work, which was good enough for me. So my projector arrived and I soon realised that it was not the same one I use at work, but that was fine I still wanted it, I NEEDED it in fact. Setting up the projector is a doddle, more so than setting up a TV, you simply position the projector where you want it and plug the wires in. You can have sound through the projector, but having a cinema sound DVD player I never felt there was much reason to do this, onboard sound being only mono. You can connect a DVD player via AVI sockets or S Video socket; however there is no HDMI or Scart option. I should... Read review

Big tv without the big bucks!
Review of Epson EMP TW10H by  steel28

Advantages: small box of tricks, easy to use
Disadvantages: remote control is silly small but does the job.

...I bought my Epson TW10H from OYYY.co.uk about 2 years ago for £469. The website itself is superb, very comprehensive and the aftersales service is second to none. More importantly for me, they're based in Halifax which is quite local for me and it's very difficult to beat them on price! So the projector, what's it like? Well, I would consider this to be an entry level projector. I currently have mine hooked up to my sky+ box, desktop PC, Xbox 360 and Home Theatre DVD player. Connections are adequate although there is no HDMI port on this version. Having said that the picture quality is good. I don't have a screen to project onto, just a blank jasmine white wall and personally I don't think, if you have the wall space, you need to spend an extra £100+ on a special screen. It can be a little noisier than it's competitors so you do... Read review

reliable workhorse
Review of Epson Stylus Color 850 by  voodoo

Advantages: speed colour, pages per inkwell
Disadvantages: price age

...This epson printer is bordering on the windows workgroup highend user market and it shows, with reliable parts and a larger ink tank than most epsons. the print quality is very good and little banding is in effect on the colour printing, the print quality on coated paper is very good only slightly as good as the epson photo printer. The print speed on the epson 850 is very good and this beauty just streams pages out almost as fast as a lazer printer. A good quality printer that is perfect for that little extra work.... Seattle's best attraction
Review of Seattle by  lula153

Advantages: Interesting stuff for lovers of all music genres
Disadvantages: Audio guide is big and heavy. Entrance, at $20 a person, is quite pricey too.

...Anyone visiting the Seattle Space Needle over the last couple of years won’t have failed to notice the blobby, mirrored building near its base. That curvy creation is the Experience Music Project and if you’re a fan of any kind of music, you should be inside it, not making faces on at the mirrored walls. The EMP was first conceived to house the extensive collection of Jimmy Hendrix memorabilia owned by one of Microsoft’s founders. It soon grew in scale and eventually took shape as a 140,000 homage to music designed by Frank Gehry (and not dissimilar in style to his Guggenheim museum in Bilbao). The EMP doesn’t come cheap - it’s $20 a go but get there early and you’ll be there all day and still feel like you haven’t seen everything by the time you leave. There’s a chunky audio guide to give... Read review

AVOID EPSON STYLUS CX6600
Review of Epson Stylus CX6600 by  CUMBRIABROOKS

Advantages: sorry can not recommend any advantages for this Epson model
Disadvantages: expensive ink cartridges, stops working totally requiring service at a shop, constant paperjam

...I previously worked in admin/office work, always had HP Printers & a friend recommended Epson to me (big mistake) I purchased my Epson CX6600 18 months ago, after using the printer for approx 6 months it displayed printer error "see your documentation & call service if necessary" an Epson outlet service centre replaced the printer, the Second printer has been in my possession approx 12 months & again today it displays the same message, I have a small business & have to say BOTH printers were not used excessively (some days they are not used at all) & they constantly had paper jam, the ink is VERY expensive & overpriced by Epson & of course Epson set the printer default so you ARE UNABLE to use the printer AT ALL until it has been to their service centre! TOTAL RIP OFF & the quality of print & features are nothing startling, stick... Read review
