Excellent Quality A3 Flatbed Scanner
Review of Epson GT 15000 Pro by BorisHotch

Advantages: Full A3 Flatbed Scanner, Very Fast
Disadvantages: Price, Glass can get scratched, Heavy (13Kg)

...This A3 flatbed scanner was purchased to compliment an older Epson GT12000 Scanner. The initial setup was very straightforward, being both SCSI and USB, with the USB being the preferred method mainly for the convenience of being able to switch on the scanner without having to reboot the machine (which has to be done with SCSI if it wasn't on at bootup), and also not having to take the case off the PC to install a SCSI card. It is also possible to connect it with an optional IEEE 1394 (Firewire) card, which can transfer data at up to 400Mbps, but I can't say how much it costs or if its easy to set up, apart from the fact that you have to remove the back of the scanner to insert the card. Another optional extra available is an Automatic Document Feeder (ADF), which allows you to scan in up to 100 sheets. The only downside... Read review

Epson's Best Scanner
Review of Epson GT 7000 by Union

Advantages: Build Quality Looks Like It Will Last Forever
Disadvantages: No Longer Made

...I have had a GT 7000 for over 2 years and have found it to be far better than the model currently being offered by them. It came with a SCSI card which in my mind is by far a better way of connecting a scanner than either parallel or USB. SCSI is faster than parallel by far, and compared with USB it is always present as PC's seem to lose USB devices for no reason. The software included Adobe PhotoDeluxe 2.0, Presto PageManger both very good programs. http://www.epson.co.uk/ I have upgrade to the latest version of the TWAIN driver from the Epson website which also includes support for Windows 95,98,Me,NT 4.0,2000 as well as Mac 7.5.1 and later. Which is good to see as so many firms don't seem to provide drivers for Windows Me. I so pleased with this scanner I strongly suggest you try and pick one up secondhand as they are so well built... 20,000 miles on a BMW K1200RS and a K1200GT
Review of BMW K1200RS by niglom

Advantages: Comfort, speed, economy, ABS
Disadvantages: Weight, handling

...hardly walk! My intro to the K1200's was with a K1200LT (but that's another story). I thought it had a great engine but it was just a bit too heavy and wide for my daily commute. This experience led me to buy a K1200RS SE. I used this for work and touring and covered about 12,000 miles in a year on it. I went down to Rome on it and got back from there to Hertford in just 24 hours. I'm telling you when you let these bikes loose on the open autoroutes they fly and they're comfy. You can hold a steady 120mph for about 90 minutes, after which you'll need fuel. The 21 litre tank will average 43mpg (even when pushed hard). I part exed the K1200RS for a K1200GT last year. I wanted the more upright position and the better weather protection. Additionally I got the matching luggage, cruise control and heated grips and seat. The cruise control... Read review

Any of your business ?
Review of Epson GT 15000 by benraiben

Advantages: Accurate Scans| Perfect for small buisnesses.
Disadvantages: The Price|Not the nicest looking deisgn.

...a single scanner ". This scanner is powerful and boasts a 600 x 1200 dpi resolution and 48-bit color for incredible detail on scans up to 11.7" x 17. The scanner has a fast startup time and is ready literally within a few seconds. The scanner is capable of whizzing through two-page spreads in one single scan, and is it is capable of accommodating a variety of documents. It even offers an optional automatic document feeder festure, (ADF, for short) which enables scanning from up to 100 sheets without any user intervention, and without sacrificing image quality. The Epson GT-15000 can quickly accommodate virtually any scanning project. This high-value product even includes fast USB 2.0 and SCSI-2 connectivity, with an optional IEEE 1394 interface. In addition, an optional network card is available, enabling busy workgroups to share a single... Read review

Golf GT Sport. You know you want one!
Review of VW Golf MK V by jonb3

Advantages: Understated style for those with taste.
Disadvantages: Too understated for some tastes.

...About our car Our car has just arrived and looks stunning in silver, the colour is optional metallic paint at an additional cost of £365.00 and a front centre arm rest at £120.00. The centre arm rest is really essential in our mind as it gives additional air vents to rear seat passengers and also provides a storage compartment lid and an ashtray lid Not that we smoke but it tidies the console massively. We have chosen the 140bhp tdi as it offers the best compromise of driveability, fuel consumption and practicality in our mind at least. About Golf Mk 5 If you are using your own money to buy one it is a very safe bet. The Mk5 has very compliant handling and is extremely comfortable. It has addressed the shortfall of the MK 4 Golf by adding extra leg room for rear seat passengers. There are lots of cars competing in this segment... Read review

We insured two cars for half the price
Review of Footman & James by aura1

Advantages: cheap, unlimited mileage cover
Disadvantages: none - I hope!

...Last September, my husband finally bought himself the car he'd always wanted (I finally gave in and let him!) - a classic 1967 MG B GT. Now I'm told that most everyday car insurance companies won't touch these kinds of cars at all, and as we were new to the classic car scene we arranged the only insurance that we knew about - through the MG club itself. This policy covered the car for (an agreed valuation of) £3500 on a limited mileage basis (12,000 miles) at a cost of £250. Now, don't get me wrong, we were very happy with the service we received from them. But, when (on a friend's advice) we contacted Footman & James, we found that - we could insure BOTH our MG B GTs (yes, another one somehow found its way onto our drive!) for £116 (half the price!). This covers the original car for the same value of £3500 and the second one... Read review

reliable workhorse
Review of Epson Stylus Color 850 by voodoo

Advantages: speed colour, pages per inkwell
Disadvantages: price age

...This epson printer is bordering on the windows workgroup highend user market and it shows, with reliable parts and a larger ink tank than most epsons. the print quality is very good and little banding is in effect on the colour printing, the print quality on coated paper is very good only slightly as good as the epson photo printer. The print speed on the epson 850 is very good and this beauty just streams pages out almost as fast as a lazer printer. A good quality printer that is perfect for that little extra work.... Dodges, Mini's, POD's, all concepts.
Review of GT Concept 2002: Tokyo-Geneva (PS2) by MattCat

Advantages: Brilliant driving simulation, easy to learn and sweet to play!
Disadvantages: Too short!

...Hello there, I have almost completed this fantastic game but just have a few more races to do. GT Concept is very unlike GT3 in respect to completion. As in GT3 you race to earn money, prgressing on too winning and purchasing new superb cars, however in GT Concept you race to achieve cars not money. GT3 is basically GT3 in arcade mode, however their are different cars here, most of them never heard of as of course they are 'Concept Cars'. They have the same tracks as on GT3 with a bonus track called Autumn Ring, quite an interesting track actually. In GT Concept you are unable to buy and modify cars. When playing this game, you basically chose a car, choose a track and away you go except you are first aquired to get a license which isn't particulary hard, get bronze on each license and you then recieve a car and can race on that track... Too expensive for an A3 scanner???
Review of Epson GT 15000 by andyw22

Advantages: Great resolution options, speed and ease of use
Disadvantages: Price may put people off

...We were looking at buying a good quality scanner for some time and two main criteria had to be met by the purchase. Firstly, my job often requires me to don my graphic design hat in order to create marketing and promotional literature for various people, products and campaigns. And to date I don't think I have produced some work where pictures have not been featured. Is this relevant to a scanner review I hear you ask.......... well yes, as I often need to convert printed photographs into a digital format when creating the aforementioned literature. Secondly, the product design side of my job requires me to scan A3 technical drawings, so they can be emailed to customers and suppliers all over the world. With these two criterions established we felt they were met comfortably by the Epson GT15000. I was a bit taken back by the shear... Read review

AVOID EPSON STYLUS CX6600
Review of Epson Stylus CX6600 by CUMBRIABROOKS

Advantages: sorry can not recommend any advantages for this Epson model
Disadvantages: expensive ink cartridges, stops working totally requiring service at a shop, constant paperjam

...I previously worked in admin/office work, always had HP Printers & a friend recommended Epson to me (big mistake) I purchased my Epson CX6600 18 months ago, after using the printer for approx 6 months it displayed printer error "see your documentation & call service if necessary" an Epson outlet service centre replaced the printer, the Second printer has been in my possession approx 12 months & again today it displays the same message, I have a small business & have to say BOTH printers were not used excessively (some days they are not used at all) & they constantly had paper jam, the ink is VERY expensive & overpriced by Epson & of course Epson set the printer default so you ARE UNABLE to use the printer AT ALL until it has been to their service centre! TOTAL RIP OFF & the quality of print & features are nothing startling, stick... Read review
