...Hi there everyone, I've bought the Epson Stylus Photo R300 about a week ago and I must say it's ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!! I used to have an Epson stylus photo 800 and I must say YOU CAN REALLY SEE THE DIFFERENCE!!! The resolution is great (with up to 5760 dpi !!! ) The ink cartridges are separate so you can change only one if you run out of ink!! There is also a mini Lcd screen on the right side that allows you to print your photos directly from your digital camera or even from your memory card (whichever it is!!!). This Printer is also one of the only ones from the Epson range that allows you to print directly on the surface of your CDs!! I’ve tried it and it really works!! In about a week I’ve printed more that 50 photographs and 4 cd covers ….My only comment is FANTASTIC!!! The resolution and the texture of the photos is as good... Read review

Advantages: Good software included,good quality prints,quick print rate.

..., a viewing screen is available if you don't have a computer to link it to,I dont have this. Most types of memory card can be inserted straight into the printer and you can print from that via the LCD screen,in any size or format,singles or the whole cards worth. The software included with the package is great and again easy to use,ink usage CD printing and scaning to web are all included,as are the usual reference guides and technical support that you would expect from Epson. Registering the product was easy and over in about five minutes, I've set mine up on two home computers and it was fine with that. A great printer at a great price about £99, available from all the major stores. There are more expensive and cheaper models out,but for a good all round home printer I think you couldn't go wrong with a R300.... Read review

Advantages: Quick, Excellent Quality, Prints On Cd's Etc....

...Ive had my Epson R300 now for about 10 months and its one of the best things i have brought for my PC. It cost me £99.99 and its well worth the money. It has excellent picture quality, you dont even have to have a computer to print photographs, as this printer has a little screen on the top which you can view the photos on. This printer also prints directly onto CD's/DVD's, as long as they are printable disc's (obviously) :) All you do is use the software included on the PC find the picture or writing you want on the disc and line it up and click print. Put the disc onto the included plastic printing holder and line it up with the lines on the printer. Then like magic it prints the image onto your disc, and as far as im concerned they look very professional. The printer comes with 6 ink cartridges, if you buy the original epson... Read review

Disadvantages: None!

...when you don't have the printer connected to your PC. The printer takes 6 individual ink cartridges so you only need to replace whichever colour runs out. If you shop around for these cartridges, you can get some good deals on price.... Read review

...Have you got loads of wonderful pictures trapped away on your hard drive where no-one can see them? I did have, but not any more. I purchased the R300 after many hours searching reviews on the net. I wanted EPSON as it's a quality brand and i wanted photo quality pictures to print off of my daughter, as i had plenty of pictures but no-one could see them. I was expecting to pay around the £100 mark for a decent photoquality printer, so when i saw the R300 for under that i was certainly interested. What came as a extra bonus was that this printer prints directly onto cd's. WONDEFUL! an added bonus that i use often. The quality of the printouts are amazing, mind you i would recomend EPSON best quality paper for that extra quality you get. Advantages: cheap and does all the basics very well.
Disadvantages: no frills!

...Being that we have 2 pc`s at home and up till recently only one printer, we thought it time to get another printer for upstairs. as i mainly use the downstairs pc there was no need for anything fancy just something to print of a few pages or documents when required. The epson R300 is the printer i use downsatirs and this lexmark comes no where near being able to compete with it, as i use the epson for disc printing photo printing and all sorts which this lexmark just doesnt do. That aside as i said it was only a second printer fo light work i was looking for and this printer can easily take on that task, its very user friendly and fairly fast. It produces very clear print and images even when the ink is running very low which is one thing the epson wont do! Low ink in the epson leads to inferior printing. not so with this printer... ...After long dispute with my father on purchasing a new printer we went to PC World and bought the amazing Epson R300, and what a good purchase it was! <> The printer at first catches your eye, it’s stylish and modern with sleek colours and nice shapes, the printer could fit in anywhere. The size is arguable but is excellent for what its specifications are. <> The R300 is a 6 cartridge printer which produces fantastic results at cheap cartridge costs. Images are printed perfectly with excellent detail and correctness, as the printer prints at a tiny 3 picoliters per dot and also prints at a maximum resolution of 5760 x 1440 optimized dpi. ...I bought my printer for £120 shortly after its release. It is a great photo printer and is still selling well today. I can not say anything bad about the whole package and the photo realistic colours and quality is amazing. It does borderless printing (Prints from edge to edge on photo paper) and also prints on DVD's or CD's. You can add, as an optional extra, a picture viewer to view photos before printing. The menu is easy to use and it comes with six cartridges which means you only have to replace the colour that is empty. There is also a bay with all your major memory stick/ card slots located on the front of the printer. The printer could be used with or without a PC. The ink is expensive and requires regular use to prevent it from drying out. If you do office related printing, look at a laser printer because ink costs will burn... Read review
