Great scanning/ photocopying, not so good printing
Review of Epson CX3200 by
paperghost
Advantages: Scanner is great, photocopying is great, ease of use, cheap to keep
Disadvantages: Bulkyness, slow, printing isnt very sharp
...When we purchased our new computer, we decided to get a new printer along with it to replace the old and very-nearly-dead one with the Epson CX3200. I guess the price of about £100 was pretty reasonable seeing as it additionally had a scanner and photocopier.
The design of this printer, is pretty large which is a bit of a drawback, however, it isn't too heavy to move around although it is hard to carry due to it's bulkyness. It looks modern but there are quite a few confusing looking buttons on there but once you get to know what they do, it's perfectly understandable.
Setting up the printer was reasonable I guess, but because our computer desk is small, we had a bit of a problem trying to fit it on along with the keyboard, motherboard, screen and mouse because of it's size. However, the instructions were easy and user...

Great Value for Money
Review of Epson CX 3200 by
trailertramp
Advantages: Reliable and quick
Disadvantages: Quite large
...One of my hobbies is enlarging old and new photos for myself friends and family.
Over the years I have used many printers ,ones that I have bought myself and others that I have been given.

Epson Stylus CX3200
Review of Epson Stylus CX3200 by
dannywilsonlfc
Advantages: Multi-tasking
Disadvantages: size and weight
...The Epson Stylus CX3200 is a good peripheral to have wether in the house or a small office, the CX3200 biggest advantage is that Print, Scan and Photocopy. The printer has a USB connection It is very easy to set up with the software that is provided with it, the software that it comes with is of a decent quality. It is quite a large machine but compared to some photocopiers on the market it is resonable and should fit quite easily on or in a computer desk.
Printer:
The printer on the CX3200 is an inkjet printer and produces good quality printouts for word and spreadsheet type document but doesnt have the same quality when printer photo's and highly detailed images. The CX3200 prints documents that are A4 or smaller and can also do things such as Head Alignment, Nozzle Check and Head Cleaning through the display screen on the front...

Quick scan or professional copy.
Review of Epson Perfection 3490 Photo by
Physik
Advantages: Excellent value, great results
Disadvantages: No off switch
...I've been using the Epson Perfection 3490 Photo for about six months. Having used an older model Epson for several years I was happy to stay with the brand.
This is an A4 flatbed scanner with good software which can be used to scan at the press of a button, there are in fact four buttons Start, Copy, Scan to Email and Scan to PDF. Although Professional mode seems to put some people off, it just gives you the means of altering the various parameters and is relatively easy to use.
For quality results there is 3200dpi optical resolution. Scanning items at low res. for the web or to print quality photos to A3 the results are impressive.
A useful feature is the built-in Transparency Unit for scanning slides or negatives. This is basically a slide holder that sits on the base, you then have to take out the reflective plate. This is all...

Not quite perfection, but not bad
Review of Epson Perfection 3590 Photo by
xxDanmanxx
Advantages: Auto-fiol feeder, good qulaity, very easy to use
Disadvantages: poor OCR and business card software
...For those of you have read my other reviews, I have got a nice camera, and I have access to a good printer, and to be honest I love photography. I don't take it seriously, but still I enjoy, but what annoyed me most of all was I had loads of great pictures taken with my old film fed camera, and I had no way to make them electronic… so I thought I'd buy a scanner…
And of course that was no easy task, I looked on many review sites and through many shops and finally I purchased and Epson Perfection 3590, for £80, and so far I have definitely found it has done the business.
The Epson Perfection 3590 Photo is aimed primarily at people who want to scan photos, but it isn't limited to scanning prints. It has an amazing optical resolution of pixel-per-inch 3,200(ppi), which I found perfect for scanning in negatives (which, I must say...

Nice Inkjet Printer / Scanner for Home Use
Review of Epson CX3200 by
markluk
Advantages: Inexpensive, cheap to run, good arounder
Disadvantages: Noisy
...borderless A4 photo in full technicolour!
What more can I say about the performance - well nothing more that this is good enough for any home office. This is a nice scanner and a nice printer all in one!
Now onto a feature a didn't think I would use as much as I do - photocopying - this is great, open the lid, out in your item, close it, hit black or colour copy butting and you are done - a perfect copy every time.
Well the costs - as I said the printer is cheap and the cartridges can be if you are willing to put in compataible ones and not Epson. The cartridges are chipped making them a bit more expensive but I have bought them for around £2 by buying in 3's from ebay!
Now all the good points have been said, my only gripe it this! When trying to print on thicker media the feed system is a bit fussy - basically it will not reliably print...

reliable workhorse
Review of Epson Stylus Color 850 by
voodoo
Advantages: speed colour, pages per inkwell
Disadvantages: price age
...This epson printer is bordering on the windows workgroup highend user market and it shows, with reliable parts and a larger ink tank than most epsons.
the print quality is very good and little banding is in effect on the colour printing, the print quality on coated paper is very good only slightly as good as the epson photo printer.
The print speed on the epson 850 is very good and this beauty just streams pages out almost as fast as a lazer printer.
A good quality printer that is perfect for that little extra work....

CX3200 Epson All In One Printer
Review of Epson CX 3200 by
wrac777
Advantages: Easy to use. All that I require and more.
Disadvantages: Current installation disk and loose paper trays
...OF THE ORIGINAL CX3200 INSTALLATION DISK PLEASE.
In the past, apart from my machine I have got involved with 3 others, all work perfectly and have always done so.
It is a pity that Epson stopped selling this, had they built in the trays as the DX6000 and others, kept the paper acceptance width as the present one and also kept a 3 pin mains plug to the printer it would have improved greatly...
