Review of Epson Perfection V700 Photo

It can do this and that and this and...

Advantages: Quiet, Fast, High Quality Prints, Saves space, card reader, Stand-alone copying, Borderless
Disadvantages: Vertical paper tray, paper jams, Disobedient with paper! Takes time to learn to use

...INTRO This has been out for quite a while now although I remember buying this from Comet for £159.99 a few years back (Should be much cheaper now) . Having used an HP Deskjet 840C and a separate scanner, I wanted a multifunctional printer to do both. I didn't want to have to spend a fortune on ink and waste ink whenever I ran out of a certain colour, so got the Epson Stylus CX6400, which has individual colour cartridges. SETTING UP Setting up the printer was easy. I had to attach the control panel, the paper support, the feeder guard, and the USB cable. Interestingly, the USB plugs into the CX6400 on the inside. You have to open the part where you would normally find the ink cartridges to get to it but this means that it's less likely to be yanked out by mistake. To attach the printer to my computer, I had to install the software. It...

No cheating with this Epson Cheetah!

Advantages: Clear colours
Disadvantages: A bit pricey

...with Epson or Tesco now. I make cards for a hobby and print a lot of sheets for decoupage on Photo paper plus photographs for Scrapbooking which is another hobby, our printer is in use nearly everyday and whether I use ordinary paper, card or photo paper the results have always been excellent. Quote from the Epson website "Epson DURABrite Ultra ink gives simply perfect prints, whatever you're printing. Each ink particle is coated in resin, making it water-, smudge- and fade-resistant." I have to agree that newly printed photos have never smudged and so far nothing has faded. I am very pleased with the result and we get a lot of pages printed before replacing, unfortunately I can't say how many as it varies with what I'm printing. On the Epson web site the Multipack costs £33.57 and free postage but Tesco sell it at £29.97 plus my...

Review of Epson Multipack T0715 - print cartridge (C13T07154010)

T0715 for Epson printers

Advantages: cheaper to buy 4 but can also buy singly
Disadvantages: you have to look around for the cheapest as prices do vary

...We have a very good Epson DX6000 printer. This printer takes 4 separate inks. This comes in handy when just one colour gets low. I know its low because when I go to do some printing I will get a low ink flashing sign come up and it will then show me how much ink is left and roughly how much copying I can do before it finally runs out. It will also tell me which ink is low. I print off a lot of photographs so it is not just the black ink that runs out but the coloured ones as well. When we first had the printer we did notice that some non epson inks were cheaper and we did think of buying them. We were then informed that if we used these on this printer that was still under guarantee they might refuse to honour the guarantee as we had not used their own brand of ink. We therefore decided to stick to Epson...

Dell Inspiron 6400

Advantages: Nearly Everything
Disadvantages: Heavy

...Right I can tell this is going to take me a while as there is so much to tell you about this laptop. I will start by telling you my own personal uses and experiences of this laptop. I bought this laptop over a year ago now after realising that my previous computer was now very outdated when it wouldn't even run the Windows 2000 operating system (let alone XP). I spent about 3 months going around shops and browsing the net for the best models of laptop and I stumbled upon the dell website. This was easily the best of all the laptop manufacturers' websites as it was so easy to use. It provided loads of information upon all of its laptop models and once I had decided it was the 6400 that I wanted you are taken to a page which allows you to easily configure every imaginable setting for a laptop. For example it offers the options of four...

Review of Epson Stylus Pro 4800

Dell Inspiron 6400

Advantages: light weiht, trendy model
Disadvantages: Heavy and bulky

...model also includes Dell's mediadirect feature which allows CDs and DVDs to be played as well as allowing photos etc to be stored. ------------------DOWNSIDES------------------ The 6400 model includes Integrated Intel graphics only, suprisingly for an entertainment laptop there is no option to upgrade. I have also found that the model lacks the TV tuner found in most larger entertainment hubs. Overall the dell is suppplied at an incredibly competitive price, certainly making it a recommendable laptop wishing to buy a new model without sheling out too much. I have found the battery to be very long lasting in the three weeks that I have owned my model and am also pleased with the quality that the model has benn acquired to. I would certainly recommed this product as it has prove dto me to be an extremely reliable product in...

Epson Perfection.......Again

Advantages: Excellent scan quality, Full version of SilverFast Ai
Disadvantages: Little Diffrence from V700, Film holders are a little flimsy for a pro scanner.

...This is a top of the range flatbed scanner designed for professional photographers and designers who need only the best quality. I bought this product after my V700 Broke down. I saw little or no difference with this and its predocessor. The Differences between the two are very subtle and are as follows :- The Epson V700 Photo scanner was trageted at the high end consumer. Whereas the V750 is targeted for the more professional user. The V750 has an Anti-Reflection Optical Coating as well as CCD Glass to help reduce the ammount of reflection. These are Features that Only a professional would look for when buying this type of product and are not all needed for you casual high end consumer in my opinion. The V750 also includes a full version of SilverFast Ai 6 which i found as a good addition to the package as when i bought my V...

Review of Epson Perfection V750 Pro

Perfect photo's for your children's children...

Advantages: A3+ glossy photos that'll last a lifetime... nearly.
Disadvantages: None that I've seen so far.

...Yes, it's true! Epson have developed a digital colour photo printer which they claim prints photo's that will have a fade resistance of over 80 years. Wow, no more scabby old, faded pics of yesteryear... These claims do come after extensive research of their new UltraChrome Hi-Gloss inks, allbeit under glass and accelerated light tests. Anyway, after buying my new iMac, I wanted something which I could use at home to complement my scanner and cheap colour printer. As part of my job I retouch digital images and continue this at home with my personal photo's. I decided on spending about £60 and was recommended the Epson Stylus Photo R1800. I read a few reviews and decided it was the one for me. The main reasons were the simulated 8 colour printing and the printable size. The answer is black... The way Epson get their rich, glossy...
