Excellent epson
Advantages: Brilliant fun!
Disadvantages: Gets through batteries very quickly
...What a great camera! I have recently invested in a second hand epson 650, and it was the best investment ever! I haven't had it long, but I haven't put it down, it's just so much fun! This can make batteries quite expensive though, as you get throught them very quickly, so invest in rechargeable ones! It is quite a large camera, but this also means that it is quite hard-wearing, and it survived remarkably unscathed when my 6 year old sister got hold of it! It takes four different quality photos, the highest quality one you can only take 4 of before downloading or erasing them. The lowest quality one, which is still pretty impressive, you can take more than eighty photos before having to download them. That said, you can buy a more powerful memory card to go in the camera, allowing you to take twice as many photos before downloading...

No cheating with this Epson Cheetah!
Advantages: Clear colours
Disadvantages: A bit pricey
...Printers are marvellous things when they work!We bought an Epson DX4000 a couple of years ago after problems with our HP printer. It was reduced in Tesco and as it is a photo copier and printer we thought it was a bargain but decided to check out the cost of the cartridges before buying.
We have used various makes of cartridges over the years for previous printers but had been having problems and always having to clean to get good printing so we were wasting ink.
We got sample size cartridges with the printer but bought a Multipack so we were ready when a replacement was needed. The Multipack has 4 cartridges, 1 of each black, yellow, magenta and cyan. The box is blue with a picture of a Cheetah and is in the Cheetah range, there are other ranges like Monkey. Hummingbird and Seahorse makinh it easy to spot the one you want to buy...

T0715 for Epson printers
Advantages: cheaper to buy 4 but can also buy singly
Disadvantages: you have to look around for the cheapest as prices do vary
...We have a very good Epson DX6000 printer.
This printer takes 4 separate inks.
This comes in handy when just one colour gets low.
I know its low because when I go to do some printing I will get a low ink flashing sign come up and it will then show me how much ink is left and roughly how much copying I can do before it finally runs out. It will also tell me which ink is low.
I print off a lot of photographs so it is not just the black ink that runs out but the coloured ones as well.
When we first had the printer we did notice that some non epson inks were cheaper and we did think of buying them. We were then informed that if we used these on this printer that was still under guarantee they might refuse to honour the guarantee as we had not used their own brand of ink.
We therefore decided to stick to Epson...

Excellent Epson
Advantages: Good Quality Prints & Lots Of Useful Features
Disadvantages: Small Colour Ink Provided
...Epson Stylus DX8400
Before Christmas we set out looking for a new printer for the computers as we didn't currently have one and were fed up of using my dads to print stuff out. We went into the local town of Burton on Trent and found a computer shop they had quite a wide selection of printers, after having a look through them we decided we would like an Epson because they are reliable, cartridges aren't overly expensive and Epson is a trusted brand that we have used previously without any problem.
So having decided upon an Epson we narrowed the model down and picked the Epson Stylus DX8400 it had everything we wanted and also had a cool LCD display screen for viewing status information and also images that are downloaded off any memory cards which I thought was a really useful feature.
The Epson Stylus DX8400 is far from...

Excelent Epson, again.
Advantages: Very Quick to print. Good DPI. GREAT value for money.
Disadvantages: Ugly. not practical for large buisness'
...Epson EPL 6200L
The Epson EPL 6200 is a ?High performance A4 mono professional printer? or so say Epson. Never being afraid to give new technology a go I jumped upon the opportunity to play with this rather large and bulky laser printer. My father is a dentist and he needed a hard wearing, cheap printer to print leaflets, booklets and all manner of other things you generally find information upon.
For a hard wearing and a (long term) cheap printer I recommended to my dad a laser printer as there is no need to buy ink-cartridges and you can print thousands of one copy. So we make a trip to good ole? PC world where this was retailing for £110, checking out the specifics and not really being bothered what to buy we chose this because it looked as if it would do the job. Driving home, I looked at the box, rather big and white it gave...

Portable with good features but fragile
Advantages: Light weight, Portable and Loaded with Features
Disadvantages: Expensive and Weak Casing
...came back to me and telling me that it is not possible to fix it unless I buy a new lens, even the lens is still fine only the clip to the body is broken.
I check the price for new lens, and I found it is too much expensive and by adding a little more I could buy another new camera *smile*
Yes, the biggest problem with Epson's PhotoPC 3000Z is its price, I found it out after done some research in order to get good price for the lens or new camera. The range of resolutions is impressive for a consumer model, but the images that camera produced were just better than average compared to other 3-megapixel cameras I've checked that cost as much as $100 less than the Epson 3000Z.
So finally I decided to buy another Digital Camera (Not Epson) and I am really satisfied with my decision....

Epson SX515W is an excellent printer.
Advantages: Wireless function is easy, print from anywhere.
Disadvantages: While the black finish is nice, it really is a dust magnet.
...After having Epson printers before, I decided to go for another one. But this time, one with wireless capabilities.
In box with the printer is the power cable, USB cable (you need these for the initial set up), a set of cartridges and a small pack of photo paper.
Was really easy to set up. We use 3 laptops at home and for the first set up I needed the USB cable. Follow the prompts on the discs and it automatically detects your wireless network. For the 2 additional laptops, I didn't need the USB cable and just had to set them up as "additional computers".
It's really easy to install the cartridges. Printer has a helpful little screen to prompt you.
Scanning and copying functions are really good. When you scan an item, so long as you computer is switched on, it will appear on the little screen, just select it and it scans...

Epson 4490
Advantages: Excellent quality when scanning slides and negatives
Disadvantages: Professional mode could cause problems for the novice used
...I bought a 4490 specifically to use for scanning slides and negatives. There is no doubt that this scanner is an excellent item for those people that want a professional looking job at a very good price.
Previously I had the Epson 2480 and although this was good, it is no match for the 4490,expected really with the time elasped between the release of the models.
With the resolution set at least 2400dpi and with only unsharp mask and colour restoration selected the faded slides and neagatives were nearly as new.
There are a few points that should be noted. If you are a novice and just want to scan something quickly without having to set different functions this may not be a scanner for you. By selecting colour restoration and Background correction when they are not needed, you can have a negative effect on what would have been...
