Epson Stylus C46
Advantages: Cheap, easy and produces good quality print and pictures
Disadvantages: Slow speed, short life
...Our Epson Stylus C46 was bought 3 or 4 years ago as a standby printer, as our Epson CX3200 was showing signs of advancing age. We paid around £50 for the C46 and were immediately pleased with its performance. Although a little slow, it made up for this by being easy to use, and producing good quality print and pictures.
We were, therefore, dismayed to receive the message 'parts in this printer are now beyond their service life' , following which the C46 refused to function, having clearly aged much faster than the CX3200 which still struggles on.
The problem is then whether it is cost-effective to repair a comparatively low price printer, assuming it is not possible to buy replacement parts. Or do we just consider such printers as disposable?...

Epson C62
Advantages: Good quality prints, low ink consumption
Disadvantages: Slightly noisy & fairly slow prints
...The Epson C62 INKJET printer is by far the best printer I have ever had. However, I only mainly use my printer for printing out documents and spreadsheets etc, and I don?t know whether it is the best printer out there for printing out photographs.
I have previously had a Xerox printer, and found out that it consumed ink very quickly, its print quality was very poor, and the most annoying thing: It made a hell of a lot of noise! Whenever I turned on my computer it made a terrible, loud, grounding sound that reverberated around the house, and it was particularly distracting at night and the vibrations woke you up. I have found the Epson C62 printer to be quite the opposite of this.
When I purchased my laptop from Time (Computer World), I got a special offer where I could buy the Epson C62 printer at half price for £40 (The RRP...

EpsonC48 - A Reliable Little Inkjet
Advantages: cheap and easy to use
Disadvantages: can be annoyingly noisy and slow to print
...I've owned the Epson Stylus C48 for over a year now, I think I was one of the first to purchase it. My old faithful Epsom C20SX died (R.I.P. - that means Rest In Pieces) after many years of loyal service and what better way to show one's appreciation than to go buy another product from the same manufacturer?
I wandered into PC World not really knowing what I wanted but knowing that I didn't want or need to spend a fortune on a printer. I just wanted something that would print me out the odd photo here and there and other colour documents as and when needed. I have a black and white laser printer for general every day use so I didn't want to break the bank on the colour printer.
I settled for the Epson Stylus C48 printer very quickly. It was priced at just under £50 at the time and had a colour and black cartridge included in...

Epson Stylus C62 - OK to a point
Advantages: Low Price - Photo Quality
Disadvantages: Very Temperamental - No Edge-to-edge printing
...I have had 3 different printers in the last 10 years, and the Epson Stylus C62 is my 4th. I decided I wanted a photo quality printer, but was on a budget and was looking to pay under £70. I wanted something that would give me decent quality photographs, but that could handle all my other printing requirements (general documents, letters etc).
Although about 18 months old now, at the time of purchase it was considered a compact model and is certainly good if you are limited on space. The price then was good and I am sure now you could pick one up for much less. The software (printer driver) that it came with was easy to install and I was quick to set up and get working. The quality of photographs is good, I wouldn't say excellent, but definitely of a moderate to good quality.
However, I have nothing else positive to say about this...

Epson Stylus C66
Advantages: Quick, Cheap and Long Lasting
Disadvantages: None really, occasional streaks in printouts.
...I cannot speak too highly of the Epson Stylus C66. I have had problems with every single printer i've used, either breaking down or not being of the highest quality. The Stylus c66, has however, yet to give me ANY problems whatsoever (touchwood).
My technological knowledge is not vast, but my hadns on experience with this printer tells me that it is extremely good.
Pages are printed quickly and to a high standard. You can choose also to what standard it should print at. The default is "text" which is ideal for finalised documents such as letters. However there are other settings, such as "draft" which can be used to print out essays so that you can proofread. "Drafts" print in grey, are readable and waste little ink. You can also select "text and image" which is suitable for documents such as newspaper articles. The two final...

Epson Stylus C62
Advantages: Robust and Cheap
Disadvantages: Drinks ink especially non Epson Cartridges
...Epson can charge a lot more for the cartridges. It also makes it difficult for cartridges to be refilled as special equipment is required to reset the chips.
This printer has an improvement which was an annoyance on the earlier C42. When the C42 cartridges decided they were empty the printer refused to print. The C62 shows the cartridges as being empty but will allow you to carry on printing until the cartridges are really empty.
I've tried several makes of third party cartridges from good quality manufacturers but found that the printer does not like them. Epson's printer driver gives you a warning when you replace a cartridge with a non Epson original. I've had one third party cartridge that emptied after 2 weeks and printing less than 10 pages. The printer seems to simply drain the ink into the printer. Strangely when I...

Epson Stylus DX4000
Advantages: Great Quality
Disadvantages: No LCD Screen, No Fax
...Epson Stylus DX4000
Well were can I start with this printer. Its an all round great product, it has many different functions and features which will help any user along the way to making you pictures or images better and processing your paperwork quicker. Whilst using this printer I found that it was very easy to use from the very simple buttons that are on the top of the printer towards the left. All of the buttons are very easy to use and you really couldn't go wrong with it.
The Epson DX4000 offers a complete printing and copying solution for all of the family. Its ideal for nearly everything. Its compatible with all applications and can be used for school projects, web designing, right down to photo printing. It can be used connected to your computer or you could use it as a standalone printer that allows you to copy documents...

MY EPSON STYLUS C86 PRINTER
Advantages: fairly cheap to buy, does the job for me,user friendly
Disadvantages: expensive cartridge replacement (there are 4)
...About 12 months ago I needed a new printer. My previous one was the C22 epson. I decided to update slightly and chose the C86 model.
On the whole I can recommend this printer to you subject to the following.
The printer unit is smart in appearance and not too heavy. It holds plenty of paper. It will print at 22 ppm depending on the print subject matter. It will print good quality photos onto the right paper, although this is a rather slow printing process. It is very fast at printing text which is my main use for it.
It comes with an installation cd which loads automatically. Once installed it is very simple to use.
I particularly like the 'properties' section in which you can click on icons to change cartridges, check cartridge levels, clean printheads and align the printing. This is all done leading you by the hand- as I am...

im a converted epson printer person now and just recently we managed to pick up a c44 epson for £20 at a computer shop which had them on offer.
