Do Epson manufacture the best colour printers?

Advantages: Capable of very good quality prints
Disadvantages: Temperamental paper feeder & colour cartridges!

...Unlike many of my other reviews the motivation behind this review stands as a warning rather than a recommendation. However, in the name of balance I will tell you about the functions of the printer before I give you the warning!!!! As an architect in the modern day, we as an industry and definitely within the practice I work within rely heavily upon printers. Requiring that they are simply reliable, cheap to run and capable of high quality prints often to large formats. This was exactly the promise that the Epson Colour Stylus 1520 (C11C211061) gave us when we were searching for a new large format inkjet printer. Epson Stylus Color 670 - Still Worth It?

Advantages: Very Cheap, Fairly Efficient, Easy To Use.
Disadvantages: Quite Old And Doesnt Include Feature Of Newer Printers.

...The Epson stylus 440 color printer is a robust, good quality printer. Having used one now for some two years I have a lot of faith in it. The quality of the print is good, and it is very easy to use. The ink cartridges are not over the top and can be bought in bulk, making them reasonably priced. It's self cleaning facilities are a premium. It is the second Epson I have had and the ongoing improvements by the company towards its printers have resulted in a very good product indeed. The printers are starting to age now and can be purchased second hand at around £40. This is a bargain if it is in good condition, worth a punt....

Advantages: Easy to use, cheap and good quality printing

...I have always gone for the Epson printers for some unknown reason and when my latest printer, an Epson Stylus PHOTO RX425 started playing up i thought it about time i upgraded, also the playing up of the printer was causing a problem with the childrens homework so needed to be sorted ASAP. So off i went to my local PC World on the hunt for a bargin, not that you ever get any of those in PC World!! But i was in luck there was an offer on the Epson Stylus DX4050 at only £39.99 for an all in one printer. I was chuffed as i'd expected to be spending around £70 - £80 for a new one. Apparently this model is the European version of the Epson Stylus DX4000 which is the UK model, however you can buy the European model cheaper - typical that is for UK. Advantages: Cheap, good print quality, easy to maintain
Disadvantages: Quite noisy

...I bought the Epson Stylus color 600 when it first came out sveral years ago. I chose it beacsue at the time it was one of the best injet printers around and it was reasonably priced. I found it to be a very good printer. It is quite fast and has excellent print quality in both colour and black and white. It can also print out excellent photos if you use the special paper for Epson printers. It is easy to maintain and warns you in advance of any print problems, e.g low ink, low paper, etc. The only bad thing about it is it is quite noisy, but for it's price it is suitable for anyone who needs a simple, easy to use printer for general use....

...Picked up this all in one printer at Tesco's fro about £49 ,came with everything needed in the box, USB cable ink and installation cd. So after getting it home hooked it all up except USB cable and inserted installation cd in the drive. Alls seemed well, until I noticed that it had installed for German. So a look at the manual, having a pc running Vista I had to download software from Epson's website to get everything up and running. Scanning is ok with options for home quality or professional quality, this takes longer. Prints at 23 ppm black and 12 ppm colour,print quality good,easy to use the scan function reproduction quality on this function very good. Scan quality also fairly good.
