Do Epson manufacture the best colour printers?

Advantages: Capable of very good quality prints
Disadvantages: Temperamental paper feeder & colour cartridges!

...Unlike many of my other reviews the motivation behind this review stands as a warning rather than a recommendation. However, in the name of balance I will tell you about the functions of the printer before I give you the warning!!!! As an architect in the modern day, we as an industry and definitely within the practice I work within rely heavily upon printers. Requiring that they are simply reliable, cheap to run and capable of high quality prints often to large formats. This was exactly the promise that the Epson Colour Stylus 1520 (C11C211061) gave us when we were searching for a new large format inkjet printer. Capable of printing to a resolution of 1440dpi x 720dpi to a maximum A2 size this was one of the most competitively priced models we found. Careful don?t order the Wrong Model!!! Epson stylus color printer

Advantages: good quality

...The Epson stylus 440 color printer is a robust, good quality printer. Having used one now for some two years I have a lot of faith in it. The quality of the print is good, and it is very easy to use. The ink cartridges are not over the top and can be bought in bulk, making them reasonably priced. It's self cleaning facilities are a premium. It is the second Epson I have had and the ongoing improvements by the company towards its printers have resulted in a very good product indeed. The printers are starting to age now and can be purchased second hand at around £40. This is a bargain if it is in good condition, worth a punt....

Epson 460 - efficient, good, old printer

Epson Stylus Photographic Printers

Advantages: Ease of use and software capabilities
Disadvantages: Genuine ink cartridge replacement cost

...A wonderful product for wonderful people, I say that because it really does reproduce photographic quality well. Over the years i have use many different printers ranging from dot matrix through to lazer types, but for a good crisp print most inkjet / bubble jet types will suffice, however the Epson Stylus range are the ones I would recommend. They are a little higher priced than most other brands but the quality is second to none, with the exception of lazer type printers, BUT! if you want them you would normally need to take out a mortgage. The Epson Stylus i use at the moment is the 860 model, and prior to that i owned the 600. Advantages: Cost effective printing which gives excellent printing results
Disadvantages: Bulky on your desk!!

The best thing about this printer is that its very cheap to use ink cartridges can be bought on the net for £2.95 b/w £4.95 colour, and they last a long time as well. Two cartridges are supplied with the printer. The warranty is your standard 1 year affair but I have never needed to use it. The Software supplied with the printer is easy to use and install. I have updated the drivers twice this year which would suggest that Epson support this printer with new software on a frequent basis. I can say that the printer does perform much for efficiently since the updates. The printer is pretty quite in usage. All in all i think this machine is an excellent buy....

Advantages: Very Cheap, Fairly Efficient, Easy To Use.

T0715 for Epson printers

Advantages: cheaper to buy 4 but can also buy singly
Disadvantages: you have to look around for the cheapest as prices do vary

...We have a very good Epson DX6000 printer. This printer takes 4 separate inks. This comes in handy when just one colour gets low. I know its low because when I go to do some printing I will get a low ink flashing sign come up and it will then show me how much ink is left and roughly how much copying I can do before it finally runs out. It will also tell me which ink is low. I print off a lot of photographs so it is not just the black ink that runs out but the coloured ones as well. When we first had the printer we did notice that some non epson inks were cheaper and we did think of buying them. We were then informed that if we used these on this printer that was still under guarantee they might refuse to honour the guarantee as we had not used their own brand of ink. THIS IS THE ONE!!. I am delighted that I purchased this model for my scanning, faxing, photographic printing requirements. Regarding the design, there are no square corners! It has a nicely rounded and an asthetically pleasing. I purchased this model for the princely sum of £99.99. I honestly think this printer will outlive me! For a multi-printer it has everything except that I have to put the paper in! LOL!
