...The Epson Stylus CX3200 is a good peripheral to have wether in the house or a small office, the CX3200 biggest advantage is that Print, Scan and Photocopy. The printer has a USB connection It is very easy to set up with the software that is provided with it, the software that it comes with is of a decent quality. It is quite a large machine but compared to some photocopiers on the market it is resonable and should fit quite easily on or in a computer desk. Printer: The printer on the CX3200 is an inkjet printer and produces good quality printouts for word and spreadsheet type document but doesnt have the same quality when printer photo's and highly detailed images. The CX3200 prints documents that are A4 or smaller and can also do things such as Head Alignment, Nozzle Check and Head Cleaning through the display screen on the front...

Epson Stylus CX3200

Disadvantages: Bulky - takes up a lot of desk space

...I've had my CX3200 for about 2 years now and I have to say its a superb package. The item cost me 100GBP with 2 spare cartridges from a local computer dealership and its never let me down in two years of continuous use. The CX3200 is a printer, scanner and colour and black and white copier all in one. You might be forgiven for thinking its the jack of all trades and the master of none, but this isnt the case. The CX3200 manages a healthy 14 pages per minute in black and white and 10 pages per minute in colour - which is quite quick for an inkjet printer. Depending on the quality of paper used the unit is capable of up to 5760x720 DPI using performance enhancement software which is excellent. The unit also allows for PC-free copying of up to 10 pages per minute, and handy boon if you cant be bothered to turn on your PC to run...

Epson cx3200- Recommended 3 in 1

Advantages: Cheap 3 in 1 printer
Disadvantages: can be prone to paper jams

...I bought this 3 in 1 to replace an older epson 580 printer, which eventually expired after 3 years use.I like Epson printers I think they give good value for money and the print quality is good for the price range.My old Epson 580 was very noisy the cx3200 is noticeably quieter, and is of a superior build quality. The cx3200 represents great value for money combining a printer,scanner and stand alone photocopier,a very usefull feature you do not get with all 3 in 1 machines.(no PC connection required). The cx3200 falls somewhere bettween the home user and the small office user and would be at its best in a home business environment, where it is robust enough to cope with sizable print jobs, without being overlarge and industrial for the home environment. The one overwhelming problem with this printer is the cost of the ink...

Review of Epson CX3200

CX3200 Epson All In One Printer

Advantages: Easy to use. All that I require and more.
Disadvantages: Current installation disk and loose paper trays

...I have had a CX3200 for 3/4 years or more, an exceptionally good machine up until now. Purchased from a stockist in the Midlands in a matter of a single phone call and excellent backup and knowledge by the sales person, unlike today with Epson. The machine has all that I require and more. Accepts A3 envelopes, US Letter size paper and slightly larger. The mains plug to the printer is 3 pin which gives a secure fixing at all times, unlike the DX6000 and others which have a 2 pin fitting and in no way permanent, they keep coming adrift. In the DX6000 Epson state that the the printer should not be moved, that in my opinion is not possible. If it is on a sliding shelf beneath the computer it has to be moved also the TAG/Serial number on the reverse can only be seen by moving it. The Rear Paper Feeder tray has to be fitted...

Epson CX3200 - A comprimise?

...Working for a graphics company speed and quality are essential. But I didnt buy the CX3200 for proof printing; it provided an ideal scanning and letter printing solution for the office. Theres always been a myth about all in ones; they do have everything in one, but they only do the tasks in moderation; your not going to get the quality of a top of the range printer of the scanning dpi of a top of the range scanner; and its important you acknowledge this before going out and buying one. But the CX3200 is arguably different; The speed of the printer is excellent, with speeds of up to 15 ppm in standard black text; its quite noisy however, it makes a bit of a churning sounds when printing. The quality is excellent, with a dpi of 5760 its a shame I couldn't use it for proof production; it would certainly be good enough...

...I have found this to be an excellent all round printer and superb value for money. It takes the cheaper epson compatible cartridges for an excellent quality photo print, it also allows you to print to the edge of the sheet, great for brochures, etc For photo scanning it is easy as you can use the single button scan on the printer to save to file the only problem i've found this locks every now and again and you have to restart the printer. It also has a habit of taking two sheets of paper through at the same time The printer is also extremely easy to configure over a local area network for shared use and allows an optional print preview setting. It also doubles as a colour or mono photo copier and allows multiple copies to be printed...

My Epson Experience

Advantages: All In One Printer

...Copying can be done using the software or using the button for easy one click operation. The copying can be done in colour or black and white. The Cartridge The cartridge is expensive and the content is usually monitored by the software. It gives out a warning when it is low. I usually ignore the warning and continue printing until it really can't print. If you change your cartridge as soon as the low warning appears, you are wasting lots of ink that equals to $$$ because the cartridge is expensive. I bought compatible cartridges for this printer to save cash. It only costs me GBP14 for a colour and black cartridge together when buying online. It was not advisable by Epson for us to use compatible cartridges but I just don't bother. The quality is exactly the same to my opinion. Epson Stylus Printer

Advantages: Cheap Ink Cartridges, Easy To Use
Disadvantages: Paper gets jammed easily, Info LCD Screen is annoying

...I have had this printer for a few years now and it still works really well. The only major problem i had with it was when it would no load paper properly and I had to have it repaired. However this was my fault as it had jammed a 20pence piece inside. The printer comes with a built in scanner and a small LCD screen which enables you to carry out basic functions with the printer. This however is very annoying and at times slow to use, this is due to text having to scroll across the screen. This is slow and takes at times nearly 20 - 30 seconds to complete a sentence. However that aside the buttons are large and easy to use. I have also managed to find cheap ink cartridges for this printer online which is great because in my opinion Epson prices are outrageous. Epson Stylus C46

Advantages: Cheap, easy and produces good quality print and pictures
Disadvantages: Slow speed, short life

...Our Epson Stylus C46 was bought 3 or 4 years ago as a standby printer, as our Epson CX3200 was showing signs of advancing age. We paid around £50 for the C46 and were immediately pleased with its performance. Although a little slow, it made up for this by being easy to use, and producing good quality print and pictures. We were, therefore, dismayed to receive the message 'parts in this printer are now beyond their service life' , following which the C46 refused to function, having clearly aged much faster than the CX3200 which still struggles on. The problem is then whether it is cost-effective to repair a comparatively low price printer, assuming it is not possible to buy replacement parts. Or do we just consider such printers as disposable?...

Its an all round great product, it has many different functions and features which will help any user along the way to making you pictures or images better and processing your paperwork quicker. Whilst using this printer I found that it was very easy to use from the very simple buttons that are on the top of the printer towards the left.
