There is a site on the internet that sells ink called ink cartridges direct that allows you to purchase ink for cheaper and every time you purchase a set of ink they send you an extra black cartridge for free, now that I have found this website I find that I'm never low on ink and its great. The printer itself is great value for money as well because it can be bought from Epson directly for £59.99 which means that it will be cheaper in other places such as Amazon.co.uk and other computer sites. Uses Epson C66 ink cartridges

Advantages: Cheap to buy, Cheap running costs, Good print Quality
Disadvantages: No good for printing on gloss paper

...I bought this printer because my Epson C66 died I paid £43 from ebuyer.com okay it doen't come with a usb cable but most printers don't and you can purchase them from as little as a £1 the D68 is just a C66 with a face lift it the print quality is very good not photo perfect one thing that should be noted is that if you planning to print on gloss paper get Epson R220 or above as when printing on gloss it tends bleed and run but it's very good on photo matt the build quality seems to be as good as the C66 I used about 70 sets of cartridges on my old C66 all none originals except the set that came with it another thing that I really like about this printer is thatthey take the C66 cartridges which are cheaper that buying the D68 cartridges even the compatable ones obviously Epson just change the part numbers to fool people into buying...

Makes My Stylus, Stylish!

Advantages: last long, can be bought from many electrical shops, uses Durabrite ultra Ink
Disadvantages: a bit expensive when outght as a multi pack

...We just recently bought a new Epson stylus DX7400 printer as our old one stopped printing for some reason. Our new printer takes the T series Epson ink. To make everything a bit easier we just bought a T0715 multi pack ink package which comes with four ink cartridges. The T0715 can also be used with other Epson stylus models including the DX4450, DX4000, DX9400F, DX4050 etc. The Epson T0715 will come with four colour ink cartridges. This includes the T0711 which is the black ink, T0712 which is the cyan colour, T0713 which is the magenta colour and T0714 which is the yellow colour. The Epson T0715 multi pack is rather expensive as we bought it for £29.99 in PC world, I guess its not that expensive if you divide that by four, as it will work out to be around £7.50 per cartridge, which I think is not too bad considering the quality...

For instance, and I expect a lot of dooyoo readers will not be in the bit surprised by this, is that PC World is quite expensive. In fact £7 or £8 more expensive. Of all places to find exactly the same product and at the cheapest price was yes Tescos at £22.00. Plus of course you do get tesco card points! Yes even that sounds a lot of money but if you break it down to price each that is um £5.50 each which isnt bad. THINK INK!

Advantages: Easily obtainable, good value, recyclable.
Disadvantages: Really just the idea of it not being a genuine new original!

...MY HISTORY WITH INK CARTRIDGES: From the time I bought my first printer, I have really had nothing but problems when it has come to keeping them supplied with ink! The brand named cartridges generally contain less ink for your money and so they need either need replacing more frequently, or you pay considerably more. My first printer, an Epson, was bought along with bottles of refill ink and a syringe to inject each colour into the colour cartridge, and a bottle of black for the other one. The salesman in PC World assured me it was easy? well it was the first time, apart from the mess! then the second time I just flooded the printer, and I had to buy new cartridges. My second printer a Lexmark, had the same thing happen and I eventually scrapped it! Now I have a HP PSE 1317 inkjet 3 in 1, and I love it, but the ink cartridges...

Advantages: Cheap-ish, CD/DVD Printing, separate ink carts
Disadvantages: Bulky, slightly brash colours

...The first thing you notice about the Epson Stylus Photo R265 is that it's pretty large. You'd almost think it was a multifunction device, especially given it's height. As such you'll need a fair chunk of desk space to take it. That said, it's attractive enough if a little utilitarian. * The main features are: * 6 ink carts * CD/DVD Printing * Direct photo printing via PictBridge/USB * Claria Long life inks * Borderless printing * 5760x1440 dpi resolution As you can see, apart from the CD/DVD feature, it's a pretty vanilla device. No LCD screen and no slots for media cards so you can't do much without having your PC connected. My first impressions when printing were good. I printed photos on A4 as single images and 4 to a page and found them bright, punchy and well balanced. The shadow detail seemed fine and skin tones...
