My new printer
Review of Epson Stylus Photo R240 by
johnboycoastie
Advantages: Smooth Quiet printing
Disadvantages: LCD Screen a bit small
...As my old printer finally gave up the ghost, I had to choose a replacement, and aftera discussion with my local PC shop, I chose the Epson Stylus Photo R240.
I've not had it long, but am very pleased with the results so far.
It produces photo quality prints, at a reasonable speed and good quality. Set up and operation are quite straightforward, and I got to grips with it very quickly. It is very quiet in comparison to my old printer, as after the initial clunk as it takes in the paper, the printing process is very quiet.
I find the LCD preview screen a little small, but it is quite clear, and as it is a feature I've not had before, find it quite useful.
It has the ability to print directly from camera memory cards, and to connect directly to a camera, via a suitable cable, as well as working with your computer.
All in all I am very...

Advantages: Quick, Economic, and easy printing
Disadvantages: LCD screen is too small
...Epson R240 Photo Printer

Epson's history spans over 100 years with a heritage that began in watch-making and led to the invention of the world's first quartz watch. In 1968, Epson produced its first printer, the EP-101, and has since lead the way in the worlds printer market, innovating and improving modern printers.
Introduction
The Epson R240 is the new photo printer from Epson, with the ability to use the USB cable with the computer and print with the CF card slot is very useful. It’s relatively new and has an easy to use, even though it’s too small, LCD screen which is very good quality.
Appearance
The printer has an excellent streamline design which is extremely stylish, it is also quite compact and is easy to carry around if you are moving a computer. There are also very few wires only a USB, which is only used...

Epson perfection
Review of Epson Stylus Color 860 by
littleprince
Advantages: Fast, Excellent reproduction of colour, High quality
Disadvantages: Can't think of any
...The stylus 860 is near perfect. Colour results are flawless, with printing at 1440dpi on glossy paper virtually indistinguishable from a photo. And this thing is fast too, it prints text and graphics at incredible speeds, and a particularly nice thing is that the printer is very quiet. I paid just £180 for this printer and it was an absolute bargain. I would highly recommend this printer to anyone that is involvd in design or graphics as a great printer to check colour reproduction and for general printing as well. Excellent....

reliable workhorse
Review of Epson Stylus Color 850 by
voodoo
Advantages: speed colour, pages per inkwell
Disadvantages: price age
...This epson printer is bordering on the windows workgroup highend user market and it shows, with reliable parts and a larger ink tank than most epsons.
the print quality is very good and little banding is in effect on the colour printing, the print quality on coated paper is very good only slightly as good as the epson photo printer.
The print speed on the epson 850 is very good and this beauty just streams pages out almost as fast as a lazer printer.
A good quality printer that is perfect for that little extra work....

jcolton
Advantages: High quality printouts
Disadvantages: None
...I have the Epson Stylus Photo 750 and when i printed out my first photo i was totaly amazed by the quality of the print out, it looked just like a real photograph. Another advantage about this printer is the amount of free software that you get with it, which impressed me alot. In my opinion the printer is very good value for money if you need to print out high quality photos then this it the one for you.
It has a resolution of 1440 by 720 Dpi which is very highand also features USB support for faster printing....

epson 1200 is a great printer
Review of Epson Stylus Photo 1200 by
blondie21
Advantages: great quality
Disadvantages: expencive
...We brought an epson stylus 1200 printer from a friend for the great price of £200,
this buy was well worth it if you intend to do a lot of printing in the photographic area, and if you wish to go bigger than A4, for this is an A3 printer.
I would recomend you buy this printer if you are heavily into photography, and want the best results.
If we had got this printer for such a great price we would have missed out on a great printer.
The disadvantage would have been the retail price, but still it would be worth it's weight in gold.
the quality is great when used with the specified paper....

Epson Stylus color 600
Review of Epson Stylus Color 600 by
Alexis1
Advantages: Cheap, good print quality, easy to maintain
Disadvantages: Quite noisy
...I bought the Epson Stylus color 600 when it first came out sveral years ago. I chose it beacsue at the time it was one of the best injet printers around and it was reasonably priced. I found it to be a very good printer. It is quite fast and has excellent print quality in both colour and black and white. It can also print out excellent photos if you use the special paper for Epson printers. It is easy to maintain and warns you in advance of any print problems, e.g low ink, low paper, etc. The only bad thing about it is it is quite noisy, but for it's price it is suitable for anyone who needs a simple, easy to use printer for general use....

An Oldie But A Goodie
Review of Epson Stylus Photo 750 by
mjmaltby
Advantages: Excellent Value for Money
Disadvantages: Slow and Noisy
...This was the first photo printer I bought (which was about six years ago), and at the time I was convinced nothing could be better than it. It produced extremely high quality photos and the ink seemed to last forever.
The only down sides to the printer seemed to be the time that it took for it to print the photo. I was able to go and make a cup of tea whilst it was printing a photo, and by the time i had got back, it would have just about finished. But that was quite forgivable considering how good the quality of the image was (especially when used on epsons photo quality inkjet paper).
As time went on I realized that indeed technology was advancing and there were printers producing even better quality photographic images which were printed in a few seconds as opose to the few minutes that the Epson Stylus Photo 750 took. (Which lead...

worth the extra £60
Review of Epson Stylus Color 600 by
h4rp1c
Advantages:
Disadvantages:
...My grandfather recently bough an Epson Stylus Color 600 the printer itself is targeted at the home user who wants top-quality output and the ability to print fine photo images, which is my grandfathers hobby. It hits its mark; the upgraded features and output quality are well worth the slightly higher price. This unit increases the maximum print resolution and works with both the Macintosh and the PC, and it comes with the same software bundled as the stylus color 400.
Even on plain paper, black text printed deep and dark, with consistent coloration and firm edges. Color graphics prints were also noticeably richer than the 400, with minimal banding in full-page, 100 percent color coverage. Photographic image prints, especially on Epson's special photo papers, are outstanding, with clear detail and lifelike colors.
The Stylus Color 600...
