Wii Music
I have spent weeks trying to get Wii music from Game at a good price, I missed the sale, so the only prices they had left was £34 and there was no way in hell that I was going to buy a game at that price.
After a very hectic day, we ended up in a small town whilst my sister was getting her brace fixed, after sitting in the car in a traffic jam for 2 hours to get there (in the heat mind you), we were about ready to pass out in the car, so went for a little walk and found a blockbusters. There sitting in front of me was the game I wanted for £22.98 which was the price I was willing to pay.
I came home with the game and for about 10 minutes I had great time learning the controls and playing the different games...

...I love my Nintendo Wii and love playing new and different games on it. I recently played the Wii Music but unfortunately this was one game that I really did not like.
Wii music was released in 2008 and allows players to simulate playing with real musical instruments. You use either the Wii remote or the nunchuk to play the instruments. THe disappointment for me was that the instruments were just not realistic enough. For example, I love Wii Sports because I think the tennis, bowling and actually all the games are really realistic and it feels like you are actually there playing the game. With the Wii Instruments it did not feel like you had a real instrument in your hands and also the Mii characters on the screen just did not react well to the movements. It was more of a chore trying to play the instruments and I gave up pretty soon...

I think that Wii Music is a tricky game to review.
When I purchased it for my son at Christmas, I visualised a Christmas with all the family joining in and enjoying the game, somehow that didn't really materialise.
I can't really decide exactly what Wii Music is - is it a game, or is it a music sim?
For anyone who is looking for a game like Guitar Hero they will be disappointed. I think many people thought that this game would teach them how to play an instrument but that is not what it is about, Wii Music is actually about the joy of making music. The emphasis seems to lie in having a good time, at the expense of everything else. Whatever you do, you're never told that you did something wrong or given any negative comments at all.

Advantages: A good introduction to sacred music Disadvantages: A rather niche album on which those into the genre will find nothing new
...Introducing people to a new genre of music is often best accomplished through compilation albums, particularly where the music in question is not what one would really consider "mainstream" listening. Compilations enable one to listen to a range of music which, although of a type, will often vary quite a bit. I've found this to be particularly true of the classical genre. Some classical pieces can feel very inaccessible to the novice listener and concertos, sonatas and symphonies can go on for what seems like an age. So, when the time came for me to introduce someone to sacred works I decided that compilation was the way forward.
As a label Naxos are well known for producing good quality but cheap recordings and were one of the first labels to open up the classical market challenging the more established labels to produce...
