Advantages: Fast printing, very good quality, cheap cartridges, fast card reader, good scanner
Disadvantages: Fairly noisy when you start it and shut down, consumes ink very fast so it costs more.

..., so I would take saving 50% on ink with a pinch of salt, as you you changing the cartridges 3 times as fast means it actually costs you more. I estimate that after around 200 B&W prints the black cartridge is ready to be replaced, and the colour about 3-4 small photos A6 + around 50 mixed black text A4 and colour combined also needs replacing. Lab quality photo's at home!

Advantages: quality, ink cost, appearance

...&w- and had been altered with both lightroom and CS3, for the first time ever- a printer printed out perfectly - all the different shades - everything was great. I then tried two color pictures- one a macro shot (close up) of a plant & one of the sea and clouds, I used 270g photo paper- on normal- both on an A4 piece of paper- I could not get the borderless to work at all, but- the quality was great. I then did an A4 of just the sea/clouds picture- it looks great- until you look closely- and then you can see some color bleeding- but I don't think that was the printer- although this is an image with no adjustments- I think there is another reason and I will update when I find out. The printer is very noisey- just prior to printing- but the printing itself is quite fast and not too loud. The main difference with this and the other ESP's- is...

Do you have ESP?

Advantages: Great selection of songs. Different styles
Disadvantages: Can be hard to find a copy these days.

...Well as you may or may not know, I have been a fan of the Bee Gees for a few years now. This album is one which I bought ages ago, but recently dug out for another listen. I am so glad that I did! ESP was released in September 1987. This was their first new album for 6 years as they had been concentrating on writing material for other artists during this period of their career. The album is now available in some of the larger music stores, as well as on various online sites such as Play or CD-Wow for around £6 - £10. You may also be able to purchase a second hand copy for a little cheaper if you are lucky on EBay. The album itself was not the overwhelming success that previous offerings had been. Although it sold very well here in the UK and other European countries, it struggled in America, where only two singles where released...

PS3 slim

Advantages: Blu-ray, free online, nice extras like vidzone & iplayer. Almost silent operation
Disadvantages: Rubbish controller, still expensive, online nowhere near as good as xbox live

...Well, had the slim for a few weeks now (my 1st ever playstation), personally, I'm a little underwhelmed by it, I've been a gamer since the nintendo game & watch days & owned @ least 1 of the current gen consoles since the Mega Drive(Genesis). Graphically the system has the potential to wipe the floor with the 360, but this is really only going to apply to PS3 exclusives as any software house making a multi-platform game is going to be as cost effective (lazy) as possible & use the same graphics on all the games where possible(ok, they need to dumb them down for the Wii). My problem here is that I have yet to get a game for it that runs in 1080P, they all seem to be in 720P! Why???? I'm sure they are out there, but I haven't found one yet. I guess this is down to most HD tv's being HD ready rather than Full HD. Sound-Yeah, ok...

...I have been umming and arring over which colsole to buy, the Xbox 360 or Playstation 3. I had heard a lot of positive things about the Xbox, and I had also heard that graphics wise and gaming wise the Xbox was slightly better than the Playstation 3. When first launched, many of us were uncomfortable about the price but when you consider it has one of the best Blu Ray players in the market built in - Its a bargin. And with Sony now having won the war with Film makers choosing Blu Ray over HD DVD this will put XBox 360 at a severe disadvantage. Graphics and sound are excellent in gaming mode and picture quality and sound stunning in Blu Ray. One of the areas I use it most for is showing slide shows. I have a Home Server with Music and Pictures stored on it. The data is then sent wirelessly around the house and of course the PS3 picks this up and you can play music or watch the slideshow, now thats clever as there are no wires. This route also stores valuable space on the PS3 hard drive as the data is on the server. This is a really impressive...

...After playing Playstation 2 for years I was happy when Playstation 3 was announced to be released. However that happiness didn't last much. Why? In my opinion the Playstation 3 (PS3) lacks not only good but also exclusive games. The console is way too expensive and it isn't compensating. Why? You have 2 other consoles that you could buy with the money you'd spend on PS3. Those are the Xbox 360 and the WII consoles. After playing several PS3 games I've found that graphics are good but sometimes the problem isn't the console but the games that don't use PS3 full settings. One good example is Pro Evolution Soccer a football game that succeeded and achieved greatness in Playstation 2 and when the brand jumped for the 3rd generation console it didn't pay off. The graphics weren't accurate there were lots of bugs the game was slower. Anyway...

Advantages: Useful, Multimedia Functions, Entertaining, Internet
