...When the little coffee maker my husband had had for many years finally died on us, we experienced unexpected difficulties in finding a suitable replacement. One machine, bought at the local supermarket, was so badly put together that the panel containing the controls was coming off before we even got to use it. Having returned this, we then proceeded to buy another from our local Woolworth's, their own brand. Well, that one was cheap... ...I have owned 2 cappuccino makers in the past, and both have made a lovely cup of coffee with a good depth of flavour, but the frother has eventually stopped working on both and I have had to make do with a tasty, but not frothy, cup of coffee. As I really missed the froth, I asked for a coffee maker for christmas, and I got this one, the Morpy Richards Mister Cappuccino coffee maker. It is just a regular filter coffee maker with a frother which just works by pressing a button, rather than using steam, which I think gives exactly the same result, and is much less likely to break down. This really isn't a cappuccino maker though, so the description is a bit misleading. Filter coffee is very nice, but it doesn't have the same depth of flavour as coffee made from a proper cappuccino machine, and if you know your coffees, I think you will be...

Rich, Dark Roasted, Value-for-money Coffee

Advantages: Rich dark-roasted flavour
Disadvantages: Not suitable for cafetieres (too fine)

...Lavazza Caffe Espresso is a premium coffee which makes a strong brew with good crema (froth), and should ideally be used in an espresso machine or stove-top pot. It is not suitable for cafetieres as it is too finely ground. As the label suggests it is made from 100% Arabica beans. Arabica is acknowledged to be the oldest cultivated coffee variety. As such, you will not find the chocolatey taste of the Mocha Sanani bean in this coffee, it tastes purer. Lavazza Caffe Espresso has been roasted darker than usual which makes it ideal for after-dinner coffee, but it is perfectly suitable for making morning coffees such as Cappuccino and Latte, especially for those who prefer a richer cup. This coffee is very reasonably priced for the quality and is available widely within the UK. I thouroughly recommend it....

...I have read several reviews on this particular product, and on average, I would say most people feel it should be better. I however disagree, it is not a "pucca" Cappuccino, just a very nice substitute, and as such it is very good. These are available in Cappuccino, Latte, and Decaff, unsweetened is an option too. Basically the drink is a "frothy coffy, and a very nice one too. It tastes nice because the coffee is Nescafe. Price:- I got my last from Somefields, two boxes (20 sachets) for £3. They are available from most shops and you may well find cheaper. Ingredients:- Skimmed milk powder, Hydrogenated vegetable oil, Lactose, Instant coffee (15%) Dried glucose syrup, Stabilisers E340 E452i E331 Milk proteins and salt. Delonghi EC330S Espresso Machine

Advantages: well priced, very easy to use
Disadvantages: steam arm is temperamental

...I bought the Delonghi EC330S after realising I was slowly emptying my bank account paying for numerous Starbucks' every week (even more after they opened one a two minute walk from my flat). Definite plus point in its appearance, it looks stylish and fits in well in modern kitchens especially. It does make good coffee, and although you need to warm the machine up, once you're used to doing this it really isn't a hassle. Although the previous reviewer recommended stocking up on pods, I would advise anyone to either buy coffee beans and a grinder or buy fresh coffee ground for espresso machines, as pods don't really make the most of having a machine such as this. A disadvantage of having this product are the steam arm is very temperamental and sometimes just doesn't emit much steam (despite being thoroughly cleaned). Also, if...

...If you love coffee and just cant resist coffee shops like Costa Coffee and Starbucks the you really cant live another day with out the Hinari Cafe Continental Coffee Machine. I bought this coffee machine as I was beggining to think I was single handedly keeping my local Costa Coffee in business and my bank balance was fading fast. I bought my Hinari machine from Comet, it retails at £44.99, which is around about middle of the road for coffee machines, but was on special offer at the time and I got it for £34.99 and what a bargain it was! ...I love my coffee machine but it is expensive. I bought mine new from Argos. It came with two free packs of coffee and cost £105.99. Operating is a really easy, you shove the little container in the top, close, fill with water, press button and hello lovely cuppa coffee! The only problem I have found is that nowhere does the inserts! I've got to drive to another supermarket which I wouldn't normally use to pick up the inserts which is a pain and a cost in petrol They are fairly expensive as well. It would cost you about £6 for 20 cups of coffee, which compared to normal coffee is really expensive. If you opt for the latte inserts, you only get 10, because 10 of the inserts are condensed milk! Talk about rip off. What a waste of money. I would recommend this to people who love coffee and don't have a baby because...
