Delonghi EC330S Espresso Machine

Advantages: well priced, very easy to use
Disadvantages: steam arm is temperamental

...I bought the Delonghi EC330S after realising I was slowly emptying my bank account paying for numerous Starbucks' every week (even more after they opened one a two minute walk from my flat). Definite plus point in its appearance, it looks stylish and fits in well in modern kitchens especially. It does make good coffee, and although you need to warm the machine up, once you're used to doing this it really isn't a hassle. Although the previous reviewer recommended stocking up on pods, I would advise anyone to either buy coffee beans and a grinder or buy fresh coffee ground for espresso machines, as pods don't really make the most of having a machine such as this. A disadvantage of having this product are the steam arm is very temperamental and sometimes just doesn't emit much steam (despite being thoroughly cleaned). Also, if...

Advantages: Easy to use and maintain. Create delicious coffee and size is very convenient.
Disadvantages: Only make frothed milk for about 2-3 coffees

Delonghi magnifica for serious coffee drinkers

Advantages: Heats up quickly. Takes coffee beans or ground coffee.
Disadvantages: A little noisy on automatic coffee grinding.

...The machine does not do filter coffee. It grinds beans or you can use ground coffee. You cannot use instant, however with the cost of this machine one would not want to use instant! It makes a wonderful cup of coffee, or if you wish two at a time. The coffee is always hot. There are adjustments for coffee grinding strength and the amount of hot water used depending on size of cup. The arm for frothing the milk is superb and the milk gets really hot and frothy. The machine is easy to keep clean. It has a light to let you know when it is time to descale the machine. The used coffee grouts drop into a container which is easy to remove and clean. DeLonghi Treviso - By Hook Or By Crook, You WILL Last Three Years

Advantages: Inexpensive, makes good basic coffee

Advantages: Great tasting coffee, good at steaming milk. Easy to clean. Price
Disadvantages: Quite loud.

...just make the espresso in a smaller cup and pour it into a larger cup with no problem, although this may be inconvenient for some. Overall Overall the machine displays some great features, at a reasonable price. I've never managed to try a more expensive machine like a Gaggia, But it does produce very good coffee....

Say Goodbye to Coffee Shops!

Lets get on with the review! Value For Money: You many think it's expensive, but you know what they say! You get what you pay for! And you certainly get excellent coffee for that £5 note and 45p change! Also, you get more in quantity. Most packages of espresso ground coffee are 227g, but in this it's 250g. Which is approximately 3 more shots of espresso. SO it's approximately 35 shots of espresso for the money. But think of it like this. In starbucks, an espresso shot is £1.40. Times that by 35, and see the total. The total is actually £49. WOuld you rather pay les than a tenth...

...of the house which may make you unpopular. It is great for producing a few coffees at a time but is very time consuming if you are needing several at one time. The result though is a very smooth, tasty espresso or frothy, creamy cappacinno. The 15 bar pump means it produces a fantastic coffee and i can definately put it up with those you buy from coffee shops. I have been very pleased with this machine and would highly recommend it. The only downside is the noise but apart from this it is a fantastic machine, fitting well into my kitchen and producing a very high quality cup of coffee....

Short dark delight

Advantages: Instant, no messy machines
Disadvantages: Not to be drunk near bed time

...I stumbled upon this product purely by accident while looking for espresso coffee beans or ground to make a delicious drink that I had on an evening partaking of food and drink at an Italian restaurant in a local hotel. I am not a coffee connoisseur, in fact I hardly ever have anymore than 2 cups a day. I do however love my alcoholic coffee fixes and usually tend to stick to Irish or Gaelic Coffee, not so anymore, reason will evolve later. Rich, Dark Roasted, Value-for-money Coffee

Advantages: Rich dark-roasted flavour
Disadvantages: Not suitable for cafetieres (too fine)

...Lavazza Caffe Espresso is a premium coffee which makes a strong brew with good crema (froth), and should ideally be used in an espresso machine or stove-top pot. It is not suitable for cafetieres as it is too finely ground. As the label suggests it is made from 100% Arabica beans. Arabica is acknowledged to be the oldest cultivated coffee variety. As such, you will not find the chocolatey taste of the Mocha Sanani bean in this coffee, it tastes purer. Lavazza Caffe Espresso has been roasted darker than usual which makes it ideal for after-dinner coffee, but it is perfectly suitable for making morning coffees such as Cappuccino and Latte, especially for those who prefer a richer cup. This coffee is very reasonably priced for the quality and is available widely within the UK. I thouroughly recommend it....
