Essential Oils
Advantages: Lovely scents, relaxing
Disadvantages: none
...Essential Oils:
The oils work within 3 days, directly by smell and also by being absorbed through the skin into your blood stream in very small quantities. Sometimes both methods work in harmony to produce the desired result.
Carrier Oils:
These are vegetable oils which are used to dilute the essential oils. They have good skin penetration, this leaves the skin feeling soft and supple.
A Few Uses Of Essential Oils:
Message - mix up to 5 drops of essential oil with 10ml of carrier oil.
Bath - add up to 5 drops of essential oil to a bath and leave for a few minutes before getting in.
Inhalation - add up to 5 drops of essential oil to a bowl of very hot (not boiling) water and inhale steam.
Hair Rinse - A few drops of essential oil can be added to the water for the final rinse.
Skin Care - A few drops can...

Bio Oil
Advantages: Reduces stretchmarks, uneven skin tone, scars etc
Disadvantages: A little bit expensive but worth it
...I have been using Bio Oil twice a day for the last six months and I am amazed at the results. I had never heard of Bio Oil before until my mum bought me a bottle, she bought me a bottle of it because I was forever complaining about the appearance of the stretch marks I have on my belly and boobs.
My stretch marks started appearing at the age of seventeen when I was pregnant my son and I'm now twenty two. So for the last five years I have been really embarrassed by the look of them because they were bright purple and clearly visible. I was convinced that the stretch marks would always remain the same colour and never fade, I even nicknamed my stretch marked belly, I call it my Freddie Crougar belly.
Bio Oil is an oil based substance which can be used to treat and reduce the appearance of skin problems such as scars stretch marks...

Essential Oils and Anxiety
Advantages: They really do reduce anxiety symptoms, cheap
Disadvantages: aren't a definitive cure, run out quickly
....
Sometimes a patient may try all they can to overcome anxiety with the help of CBT, a therapist and those useful exercises, but it just won't budge. On the other hand maybe they've got to grips with their condition but on some days could do with a little pick-me-up to remind them that it's not always such hard work. In these cases the patient need not resort to medication, but they can seek a bit of a boost from natural sources instead.
I've suffered from anxiety (more specifically panic disorder and a touch of agoraphobia) for around a year now, and while I've received some great advice and help from all kinds of people, there are some things that have been left unsaid.
Perhaps it's just because I love anything natural and I'm a bit of a hippy at heart but I read that some essential oils can perk you up and give you energy and thought...

Olbas Oil
Advantages: Cheap, seems to be working
Disadvantages: None
...It?s that time of year again, cold and flu season and unfortunately I have caught my husband?s man flu. I wrote last week how I bought him some tissues with Olbas oil in them and that I was looking after him through his illness. Well I, unlike him, and not on my death bed and do not need constant care, as all men do with man flu but I do need something to sort out my blocked nose.
It?s so infuriating when you cannot breathe and so I really needed something that would unblock my stuffy nose. I have always used Vicks in the past but had heard that Olbas Oil might be a little bit stronger and after using the tissues the other week could definitely smell them and recommended them for unblocking noses so I decided to give the ordinary Olbas Oil a try.

One Oil for Everything...
Advantages: It works really well, is versatile
Disadvantages: Seems like an expensive buy..but you realise it's worth it
...At the age of 19, I am not too worried about aging skin, but like a lot of people my age I have been left with the odd stretchmark and some scars from spots. It's the spot-scars that paricularly bother me, as they are on my face and some were quite red and didnt seem to be fading. I saw an advert for Bio-Oil in a magazine and casually thought I might give it a try. I forgot about it for a while, and then, on spotting it on the shelf on my next Boots visit, I thought 'Why not?'
I think I paid £8.49 for my 60ml bottle, which sounds a lot, but it does, as I had expected, last for a long time. I've had my bottle for 3-4 months of almost daily use now, and I'd say I've got about another month's use in there yet. Reading through some of the other Bio-Oil reviews the other day, my attention was brought to a website called Mulipharmacy...

Bio Oil
Advantages: Gives the skin a smooth even appearance.
Disadvantages: None really, perhaps a bit too greasy if you put too much on.
...I decided to try Bio-Oil after spending lots of money on other products to try and eradicate the blemishes and uneven skin tone on my face. After a week of using Bio-Oil I could see a difference in my skin ton, brightness, and also the smoothness of my skin. It also helped to smooth out wrinkles under my eyes, an area which I have tried many products on and none of them have made a difference. It also helped smooth the appearance of visible pores around my nose are. As long as you don't use too much it is not greasy ans sinks in straight away. I now use it everyday and would not buy anything else. I have also found that although it seems quite a small bottle, it has lasted me weeks as you do not need to use very much at all....

Wonder Oil
Advantages: Really works, smells nice
Disadvantages: Expensive
...After using this treatment I had to share with you how good this is. I'm not going to bore you with the details and packaging because theres loads of other reviews with that in.
Bio oil is an orange coloured oil used for the treatment of stretch marks, scars and un even skin tone. I used it on my stretchmarks and a few old scars. Application is simple just rub in twice a day and thats it. It soaks in very quickly and doesn't get all over your clothes. It has a really nice light smell. I noticed the improvment in the scars on my arms in only a couple of weeks. The stretch marks took a little longer but it's worth it, this stuff really works. To begin with my stretch marks were deep purple and pretty awful looking but after a couple of months of using this they have faded and are now silvery in colour and much less obvious...

Bio-Oil
Advantages: Everything
Disadvantages: A little expensive
...she told me that she had been using Bio Oil for a few months now. I thought this was a great sounding product so I decided that I would have to give it a try. I have got really bad stretch marks that I got when I was having my kids and I have a few scare that I have got from spot. So I thought that if this works that well on my mums scares it will surely work on me.
** My mum has lots of health problems now but on a good point the cancer has not came back.

Everyone's Oil
Advantages: leaves your skin soft, can be used for different things, everyone can use it
Disadvantages: very runny, if the oil is dropped on your clothes you got to wash it!
...Johnson's baby oil has been around for many years and I am sure it was probably used on me as well when I was a baby.
It has been manufactured mainly concentrating on babies although it can be used by anyone.
I have a one year old little brother and we have always used Johnson Johnson baby oil on him.
When it is time to bath him we just let loose a few drops of the baby oil in his bath and we wash him as normal. His skin always looks soft after the bath, to get his skin extra soft we also use it as lotion on his body by applying more onto his skin after the bath.
You might think that it's oil so therefore his skin is going to be greasy afterwards, but this wasn't the result, the baby oil just evaporated leaving his skin looking extra soft to the eye and touch. My little brother's skin would stay soft the whole day, therefore...

Bio Oil - A good all round product
Advantages: Specialist product, easily avaliable at chemists or supermarkets, natural
Disadvantages: Expensive (but will last a long time)
...Anyone who has ever suffered some kind of skin defect like scarring or stretch marks will often understand how bad scars left over from any life experiences that cause scars like pregnancy and acne can leave someone feeling. Personally, when I was younger I did suffer from moderate acne and I have a couple of scars left over from spots I tried to pick.
One thing I do like about Bio Oil is that it is natural, as I have found natural products to be much better than using the 'specialist' products like Clearasil that claim to fight spots and redness and so on, but in truth really I found that they only made my face worse. Ever since I started using natural remedies, I found that they worked much better and now I have very few breakouts, it's just the scars left I have to remove...
Having seen the adverts for Bio Oil and hearing about it...
