Essie Nail Varnish
Review of Essie Ballet Slippers Varnish by
Sarahhhx
Advantages: It makes my nails look really healthy and shiny
Disadvantages: It takes about 5 minutes to dry
...I paid £8.50 for a 15ml bottle of Essie Ballet Slippers Varnish.
I've used Essie nail polish before and I thought it gave fantastic results and made my nails look great.
The Ballet slippers colour is great for someone who has pale skin.
The varnish Goes on and stays on better than any other nail polish I have used. It doesn't chip easily, and continues to stay shiny and fresh looking for days. Essie has a variety of beautiful colours to choose from but this is defiantly my favourite.
I prefer this colour because it's a subtle pale pink so it doesn't look over the top when I'm going out shopping.
The Application is as follows...
It's Very easy to do
I recommend that you that you apply the varnish by painting a strip in the middle of the nail and then two strips at either side.
I had to wait quiet a while to apply my second coat...

Ive got that WICKED look about me!
Review of Essie Wicked Varnish by
Lunar_see
Advantages: Looks divine, easy to apply, chip resistant, added shine
Disadvantages: The price tage for some
...products.
One of my favourite brands of nail varnish is Essie and it is a brand that you probably wouldn't find in your everyday high street store like Superdrug and Boots. Essie is brilliant and their nail varnishes come in a massive array of colours all of which have eye catching names to suit their colour. I was introduced to Essie nail varnish by one of my very close friends who use nothing else and I now buy mine in bulk online.
Each bottle of Essie nail varnish contains 15ml of nail varnish and costs around £8.50 and my current favourite bottle is called Sole Mate nail varnish and it is a lovely deep shade of maroon and goes perfect with almost any outfit that I own and lovely long nails it looks striking. Each bottle lasts me on average 6-8 months depending on how much I like the colour which I think is really good value for money...

An essie Messy
Review of Essie Mademoiselle Varnish by
kinky_lil_kitten
Advantages: Still has the durability of the other essie products
Disadvantages: colour and drying time
...So having recently confessed to an addiction to Nail varnish I’ve decided to carry on with my experience of the essie range and this time a negative experience with the Varnish. I’d recently bought myself a brand new dress for an evening function I’d been invited to and having found a suitable lipstick in my collection, set about finding a nail varnish. Now I’ve bought between 10 and 15 different bottles of essie varnishes in different colours, so I thought finding an off creamy colour wouldn’t be too hard.
In the past I’ve been able to pick up a bottle of essie and be able to feel confident that the colour it appears in the bottle is the colour that’ll appear on my nails. So with this in mind I bought myself a bottle of Essie Mademoiselle as it seemed to be just the right sort of shade for the dress I was now in possession of. Unlike...

An Essie Quickie!!!
Review of Essie A List Varnish by
kinky_lil_kitten
Advantages: Shade looks exactly like it does in the bottle. Good durability
Disadvantages: A little bit more than the normal brands
...I recently discovered the Essie nail varnish range during a lunch time stop off in the Body Shop. It’s starting to get dangerous this obsession I have with that place but I still can’t walk past without going in and buying something. So as they were offering two of these bottles of Nail varnish for £8, normally £4.99 each I not only got one to go with my new lipstick but also one to match my Lancome Rouge Magentic lipstick as well. So I decided my second bottle should be this, Essie’s A List varnish.
Now obviously this was a bit of a gamble as having never used the Essie range before, spending £8 on two rather than sampling one first was a bit of a gamble. It is a gamble I always take and thankfully with the Essie range it is one that has certainly paid off. The shade of the A List varnish was exactly what I was looking for, well...

Will you be my soul mate?
Review of Essie Soul Mate Varnish by

Advantages: Easy to use, easy to find, great price, chip resistant
Disadvantages: None

I have Found My Sugar Daddy, Have you Found Yours?
Review of Essie Sugar Daddy Varnish by
19901
Advantages: Highly Durable, Great Shades, Quick Drying
Disadvantages: A bit pricey
...I am not a big fan of nail varnish, I very rarely put anyone, but recently at a friends hen night I was put at gunpoint and I forced to try something so as usual I went for my lighter shades, and chose the Essie Nail varnish in the ‘Sugar daddy’ shade. Since I have purchased a few more of Essie products and I have found that it offers so many different neutral shades and it is not to overpowering. I have found that the shade is so light but it is very healthy for my nails, It has a chip resistant formula which I love because my nails suffer from chipping and it gives you the chance to have a professional nail makeover at home for half the price. I will raise my hands up I was never a big fan of nail varnish as I have found that putting it on was hugely time consuming and I could never find the shades that suited me but I have recently...

The Best 15 Minutes Of My Life For A Fiver
Review of Essie Fiesta Varnish by
kinky_lil_kitten
Advantages: Superb colour, very vibrant and an even covering
Disadvantages: Takes 15 minutes to dry
...I recently admitted to my addiction to lipsticks, but I’m afraid my impulsive, additive side doesn’t stop there. No in fact it extends to a lot more beauty products but in particular I love nail varnish as well and if you look at my dressing table there are more bottles of varnish and lipsticks than there is spare space. I know there are better things to spend my money on but I love messing around with the different colours and seeing what combination I can come up with. Well that and the fact I love having nail varnish that matches my lipstick.
The first time I came across this was a few months ago in Southampton city centre during my lunch break. I’d just picked up a new pink lipstick from Boots and was having a look around in Body Shop when I spotted a bottle of Essie Fiesta nail varnish. It was on offer at 2 for £8 or £4.99 each so...

Dried fast but chipped fast too.
Review of Maybelline Express Finish Nail Varnish by
gayleb
Advantages: dried quickly, easy to apply, good colour, no bubbling
Disadvantages: chipped quickly
...I have two main problems when it comes to nail varnish firstly bubbling and secondly chipping.
The nail varnish was easy to apply and went on well without bubbling which really impressed me, the colour was also excellent it could be worn as a semi-transparent sheen or full colour nail varnish for different looks.
I applied this nail varnish one night and was disappointed to find that by half was through the next day it had chipped on two nails, its also fairly pricey.
Overall an excellent nail varnish despite the chipping....

Shimmery Nails
Review of Maybelline Express Finish Nail Varnish by
Pamela
Advantages: Very fast drying
Disadvantages: There is a better range in the States. Maybelline need to bring more of their colours over to the UK
...Maybelline - Express Finish Nail Varnish is better than any other nail varnish I have found. I tend not to like solid, thick coloured nail varnish, but prefer more shimmery see-through nail varnish. Maybelline has got one of the best ranges. Revlon also does a two tone range, but I feel that having two colours in your nail varnish is a little to gaudish for me.
One coat of Maybelline nail varnish gives my nails good cover and the bonus attraction is that it is fast drying. It says on the bottle that it drys in 60 seconds, but my nails are usually dry in less than a minute. Good bye Mr. Hairdryer to dry your nails in a hurry - and a big thank goodness for that. Maybelline nail varnish also has staying power. My nail varnish can last for upto 3 days without chipping and that's pretty good for me.
I would recommend Maybelline nail...

Chocolate Kisses Nail Varnish from The Body Shop
Review of Essie Chocolate Kisses Varnish by
mints4merlin
Advantages: good unique colour, tasty name and is animal friendly!
Disadvantages: expensive, smells bad
...Divinely named and luciously chocolately looking you can easily be forgiven for mistaking this for a bottle of milk belgian chocolate sauce. Although eating it is not advised and upon opening you'll soon be put off by the pungent chemical smell.
This little 15ml bottle of nail polish was purchased from The Body Shop for a ridiously extreme price of £4.99. Which is expensive when you consdier I can pick up a rimmel 60 seconds and go nail polish for around £3 in asda.
What attrached me to this though is the name 'chocolate kisses' it just sounded nice. I trailed a bit on my thumb using an instore tester and was impressed by the ease of application, no lumping and created an even spread. The colour once dried, helped by wafting alot, set to a nice light, almost hot chocolately brown. I decided to purchase it anyway as a bit of a treat...
