Estee Lauder Idealist - Miracle Lotion ? ;-)
Advantages: Removes redness, evens skin tone, evens surface, tightens pores
Disadvantages: Quite expensive
...years ! but what I hate is huge pores as it makes it seem like I must have poor facial hygiene and don?t bother cleansing my oily skin! ( which is soooooooooo not true!)
I have spent so many years being depressed about the skin on my cheeks, I have a pretty face and an attractive figure , which makes me more sad , we all know how superficial society is these days and it?s easy to get depressed about these things. I know I can?t do too much about the scarring, but if I could improve the pores/ redness/ and texture it would make a huge difference to my confidence.
I was browsing the net for makeup primers etc etc ?and I came across a lot of reviews about Estee Lauder Idealist Pore Refining Skin Refinisher. The reviews all seemed so positive that I thought it is definitely worth a try. I gathered that the product was rather pricey to say...

Estee Lauder. Such lovely smooth skin!
Advantages: Really hydrates the skin, feels nice, has an spf
Disadvantages: A bit pricey!
...I bought this cream at the duty free shop at the airport because I had forgotten to take moisturiser with me on holiday. I picked it out because I have used and like Estee Lauder products in the past and I have to say I feel completely the same about this one!
I sometimes get dry skin and this cream is absolutely wonderful. It is especially good with all the cold weather we've been having recently!
The cream itself is really thick, which I really like in a moisturiser as I feel like it is really doing something to my skin.
It is really easy to apply and quickly absorbs in to the skin and leaves no oily residue. My skin feels really hydrated after I have used it and it really seems to help with the dry skin I get.
It is also anti-wrinkle cream which is a plus too! The moisturiser is meant to reduce lines and wrinkles, which...

Ideal Estee Lauder Idealist Skin Refinisher
Advantages: Gives you skin so soft you wont beleive it till you try it.
Disadvantages: Expensive
...About 6 years ago I bought a lovely glossy magazine - you know the ones that cost a fortune and have lots of things that you would love to own but know you just cant justify spending that sort of money - well in the magazine was a sampler for Estee Lauder Idealist Skin Refinisher. now I am not the type of person to throw something like that in the bin - I like it when you get something for nothing - so I gave it a try and it was fantastic - so good that I even went out and bought my first bottle (now taking into account I was a poor student at this time - that was near enough a whole weekends spending money gone in one go) and to be honest I have'nt looked back since.
The Product
Exclusive non-acid technology for the well known company Estee Lauder gives you skin that looks, acts and feels like new. Soft and smooth to the touch...

Estee Lauder Idealist Skin Refinsher
Advantages: Reduces pores and provides lovely base for make up
Disadvantages: Touch pricey...get someone to buy for you as a gift!
...This product is fantastic. My 50ml bottle was bought as a Christmas gift this year and, after using it every morning and most nights, is still not empty. Just a tiny amount is all that is needed to reduce pores and generally reduce appearance of redness on cheeks. I decided to not use it for the last 3 weeks to see if I noticed the difference; I have subsequently restarted the regular application!
Skin is left soft and plump after application and pores are noticably reduced. As with all these products pores do not completely close and skin does not become suddenly perfect, but have experienced fewer spot and blackhead outbreaks as a result of using this product;
I even found that I needed less or sometimes no moisturiser after application. A little luxurious and maybe a tad expensive unless bought from a cheap(ish) cosmetics...

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair
Advantages: Protects skin, makes it look healthier
Disadvantages: A bit pricey, takes a few minutes to absorb, smells a bit icky!
...I really like Estee Lauder products but I don't buy them that often because they are so expensive. There has been a lot of hype and advertising surrounding the 'Advanced Night Repair' product recently and I just got a new job so I thought I would treat myself and decided to buy this to see what it was like.
The product is meant to help your skin to repair itself from UV and environmental damage and also protect against these strains too before they damage your skin.
I figured it must be doing something right since it has been winning awards. So far it has won the Cosmopolitan Beauty Awards 2007 for the Best Age-Defying Serum, The Red Magazine Beauty Awards 2007 for the Best Night Product and it also won Harper's Bazaar 50 Best Beauty Buys 2006 for Anti-Ageing Skin Saver.
I really like the design of the bottle. It is quite...

Tone your way to perfection with Estee Lauder!
Advantages: Cleans and rebalances the skin, gets rid of dirt that you cant see.
Disadvantages: Tad pricey!
...I have never paid much interest to toners, I just automatically applied them after cleansing. This all changed upon my purchase of Estee Lauder Perfectly Clean Balancing Lotion.
For those of you who don't know much about toners, their main aim is to rebalance the skin after you have cleansed and they restore the skins natural PH balance.
This Toner takes it one step further as I have come to expect from Estee Lauder. Not only does it re-balance your skin but it reacts differently depending on your skins needs. For example if your skin is dry it will better hydrate it and if it is oily it will help to absorb any excess oil. It really is a multi-toner!
It contains different botanical ingredients, these being White Water Lily, Senega and Barberry, which all help to better condition the skin.
It helps to prime your skin before...

A Bright Future For Estee Lauder
Advantages: A naturally light foundation cream
Disadvantages: The price
...match the pump. The bottle will fit into even a small handbag, so that is very useful.
There are nine shades of Estee Lauder Futurist:
Nude, Beech, Ivory, Blonde, Cameo, Almond, Bare Beige, Fawn and Shell Beige.
The bottle contains 30ml and costs £25.45. It may seem a lot of money at the time but it pays dividends in the end. We did a skin test on the back of my hand , I didn't want the foundation to be strong but I said that I was trying to achieve as natural a look as possible. I ended up taking the soft Ivory shade for Dry skin.
Another thing that is in the Estee Lauder's Futurist foundation is an inbuilt sunscreen (spf 15 )
The assistant on the beauty counter was trying her hardest to sell me a foundation brush, when I saw it was nigh on £20 I nearly fainted! I laughingly told her that I would stick to using my small facial sponges...

Estee Lauder Night Repair while you sleep
Advantages: Silks, Smooths and Repairs the Skin
Disadvantages: A little pricey, but well worth the money
...I was looking around the beauty counter in my local Debenhams and I was attacked by one of the sales people on the counter.
I am usually not a lover of Estee Lauder products, as I do have quite sensitive skin and I have got to be careful of what I use, particularly on my face, as if I use something that irritants the skin my face usually swells up like a balloon, so I was a little hesitant at first about looking into these products.
As I have quite a high face colour, my face sometimes looks like a 'glow worm' as I put it, I do have problems finding products that can actually combat this.
The shop assistant, pointed me out to three different products which are good for my skin type, but in particular she put great emphasis on this product.
When I got home I couldn't wait to try it, and even though it is called night repair...

Estee Lauder Spotlight
Advantages: Makes skin glow
Disadvantages: Expensive, mind over matter?
...As many of you who read my opinions know I am a lover of Estee Lauder products and here is another example of where I was sucked in by the sales patter of the consultant!
I was having a makeover at my local Estee Lauder counter and the consultant used a product called Spotlight which she described as a Skin Tone Perfector. My skin is only young and apart from the occasional spot, I do not have any particular problems so I was a bit cynical as you can imagine.
Whilst she was applying the luminous lotion to my cheeks and forehead it felt to be soaking in nicely and felt nice. She applied this on top of my moisturiser but underneath my foundation.
After the makeover I received many compliments during the day and I personally thought my skin looked to have a sort of glow to it and appeared flawless.
The next time there was...

Pricey but perfect skin
Advantages: Softens, smooths and plumps up your skin
Disadvantages: The Price
...I really must be approaching middle age. Gone are the days when I thought the name Estee Lauder conjured up my Mum and my Gran. Since testing, using and buying Estee Lauder products recently, I have to say I?m a confirmed convert and Estee Lauder enthusiast extraordinaire.
When I bought an Estee Lauder moisturiser recently (see previous review), I was given a sample of Estee Lauder Idealist Skin Refinisher. My first comment would have to be about the naming convention for these products. I mean, what exactly does that mean? Does it give you any indication of what the product is about, what you do with it or what it might be used for? Well, in my mind, no it doesn?t actually. A small gripe perhaps, but a gripe nonetheless.
So, what is ?Idealist Skin Refinisher??
As far as I can tell, it really is some kind of exfoliator...
