Great modem

...was not lit, so although I had a broadband connection something was going wrong somewhere along the line. The netgear also has a diagnostics page which you can access on your pc and from that I saw that the speed was very slow and there was a lot of noise on the line. So this was evidence for vodafone to give BT engineers who came and found my phone line was broken at the telegraph pole. One new phone line later and everything is well. The modem is white and comes with a stand so it actually stands on end and takes up very little space. It needs to be plugged into the electric and connects with via ethernet....

Fancy 25Mbps+ Broadband.. One Day you'll get it.

Advantages: Good Realiability and Future Proof.
Disadvantages: People Mis-understanding the Product.

...This review is to put the right all the wrong reviews that I have read across the internet as it seems the main problem that people have had with this product is that they don't understand how to use it. Anyway, the review. The reason why I bought this modem was because I was looking for an Ethernet Modem and wanted something that would last me a long time, the ADSL2MUE fits the bill perfectly and has some extra features, although I probably won't be using these. Ethernet Modems are quite hard to find in the UK, but they are far superior to USB Modems in all areas, it is because USB Modems are cheaper than Ethernet that ISPs supply them with their broadband packages. The Advantages over USB is that you don't require any drivers, so that means that less system resources are used up controlling the device and also that it will work...

An excellent modem

...My ZOOM 56K V90 Dual Modem has been the best modem I have ever had. When I purchased a new machine it came with its own PCI modem, however this soon came out and was replace with my trusty zoom when I started getting cut off from my ISP. I regularly axchieve speeds of up to 52K and with a usual connection at 49,333 bps. The modem is fitted internally and has been in service now for almost 2 years without any sign of breakdown. Trusty, reliable and fast are the best way I can describe it. With a Flash Circuit I can even upgrade it should the need arise. A great modem at a very reasonable price. Customer support is excellent too....

Netgear DG834PN Wireless ADSL Modem Router

Advantages: Facilities, easy set up, lights(!), stability

...The Netgear DG834PN is the latest version of the DG834 and combines an ADSL modem with a wireless router and 4 port switch. In plain English, this plugs in your phone socket and allows one or more PCs to share the connection via either a wired or wireless link. T.Mobile Web 'n' Walk USB Modem.- 10Gb

Advantages: Good for surfing the net on the move, downloading music and watching youtube.
Disadvantages: Forget about playing online games or downloading large files. 1st line support is indian.

As for web based use its actually not too bad, if all you are doing is watching youtube, surfing the net or checking your email/facebook it works well, although at peak times you may have to wait a few minutes for that youtube video too load. I get around 60KB-130KB and its been the same no matter where in the country ive been, And ive used the service in scotland england and wales The service goes down at least a few hours a week, once it went down for 2 weeks and after calling india 10 times who's only advice was to unplug the usb modem and plug it back in again they put me through to a uk based technician who managed to get it sorted. If you do not feel like waiting 45mins to speak to someone you can always email support on the t-mobile website and they will ring you back usually a day later. Recently I took the sim card out...
