Are the Management to blame??
Review of England failed to qualify for Euro 2008: Who's to blame? by
ciaoHCW
Advantages: My husband won't be down the pub as much as he would have been!!
Disadvantages: Not being able to back our boys!!
...We are all very quick to blame the Management for England failing to qualify for Euro 2008, to point the finger and put pressure on them to resigne, be sacked or what ever but they are not the ones on the pitch actually playing the beautiful game, Do you not think that these days with the amount of money that these high quality, high profile players are earning their minds are not on the job in hand, which is playing football and winning! In my opinion their minds are more likely to be on who they've been pictured with eg models, young pretty actresses etc, what cars they are driving and whether they are safely parked, what clothes they are wearing when off the pitch, their houses, wives and girlfirends.....and at the present moment in time with a high number of footballers houses being burgled their minds are drifting and fair enough...

For example, they scored 7 goals against the two teams that contested the World Cup final. They play with flair and imagination, illustrated by their quick counter attack against France to score their second goal. Johan Cruyff once said 'simple football is the most beautiful. But playing simple football is the hardest thing.' I feel that Holland have made simple football look easy in this tournament. In my opinion their only real competition is Spain who have also played some slick creative football throughout the tournament and have two quality stricker's in Torres and Villa. But, as we saw in 2004, the form book got thrown out of the window with Greece winning so I cannot be too...
