Are the Management to blame??
Review of England failed to qualify for Euro 2008: Who's to blame? by
ciaoHCW
Advantages: My husband won't be down the pub as much as he would have been!!
Disadvantages: Not being able to back our boys!!
...We are all very quick to blame the Management for England failing to qualify for Euro 2008, to point the finger and put pressure on them to resigne, be sacked or what ever but they are not the ones on the pitch actually playing the beautiful game, Do you not think that these days with the amount of money that these high quality, high profile players are earning their minds are not on the job in hand, which is playing football and winning! In my opinion their minds are more likely to be on who they've been pictured with eg models, young pretty actresses etc, what cars they are driving and whether they are safely parked, what clothes they are wearing when off the pitch, their houses, wives and girlfirends.....and at the present moment in time with a high number of footballers houses being burgled their minds are drifting and fair enough...

Holland winning Euro 2008
Review of Euro 2008 in Austria and Switzerland: Which country do you think will win and why. by
wakeham1
Advantages: outlines Holland's strengths concisely
Disadvantages: maybe slightly short
...I feel that Holland will win Euro 2008. The main reason for this is the amount of goals scored already in the tournament (against world class opposition). For example, they scored 7 goals against the two teams that contested the World Cup final. They play with flair and imagination, illustrated by their quick counter attack against France to score their second goal. Johan Cruyff once said 'simple football is the most beautiful. But playing simple football is the hardest thing.' I feel that Holland have made simple football look easy in this tournament. In my opinion their only real competition is Spain who have also played some slick creative football throughout the tournament and have two quality stricker's in Torres and Villa. But, as we saw in 2004, the form book got thrown out of the window with Greece winning so I cannot be too...

UEFA EURO O8
Review of UEFA EURO 2008 (PS3) by
randyraz2k8
Advantages: good graphics, change history matches,
Disadvantages: not much different to fifa 08
...The EA bigwings must have shat themselves when the wally with the brolly and his bunch of overpaid, overrated underachievers crashed out of Euro 2008 before the tournament even began. After all, which englishman would want to buy a football game without england in it?
Well fear not beacause EA has 'cheated', letting you rewrite history by either playing through the qualifiers, or if you can't be arse'd to struggle against the likes of the mighty Andorra again, you can skip straight to the tournament itself and simply swap one of the teams for England.
Unfortunately you still have to suffer the sight of the gnarly-looking, innefective McClaren on the sidelines.
Continuing where FIFA 08 left off, the new captain your country mode is a variation on the game,s Be A Pro mode.
Here you create a new player or choose an existing star and must...

Why Spain will win Euro 2008
Review of Euro 2008 in Austria and Switzerland: Which country do you think will win and why. by
Warmer
Advantages: Excellent attacking options with limitless creative prowess
Disadvantages: Shaky defense when under constant pressure
...It is extremely hard to choose a champion for 2008 as there has never been such an open and even tournament. I think the following teams have no chance of winning: Romania, Poland, Austria, Turkey and Greece.
Although they have been one of the Favourite sides to win in the past but never quite reaching their potential and expectation I think Spain look good to win the European championship this year. They have an eight match winning streak which included former World Champions France and the current World Champions Italy.
Spains biggest asset in this tournament is their brilliant Goal Keeper Iker Cassillas but they will need him with the fragile defense that they seem to have.
Spains key to winning this tournament will be the scoring prowess of Torres up front along with the combination of fabrigas, Andres Iniesta and Xavi Hernandez...

Who will win Euro 2008?
Review of Euro 2008 in Austria and Switzerland: Which country do you think will win and why. by
lucyw88
Advantages: More football to watch
Disadvantages: Englands not in the Euro
...Well isn't June 2008 going to be a glum time for every England supporter. The adverts are flooded over the television, its like rubbing salt into an open wound. As the advert says the best cure for this is to watch the other teams that made it through, battle for the cup. Personally, pretending Euro isn't happening this year would be a better cure. However, its happening and who will lift the trophy?
Well I'll start with the teams that have made it through to Euro 2008:
Czech Republic, Portugal, Switzerland, Turkey, Austria, Croatia, Germany, Poland, France, Italy, Netherlands, Romania, Greece Russia, Spain and Sweden.
In my opinion I would say that Spain have a good chance of lifting the cup. They have been a let down to them selves before, however with some of the top players they have now there a good chance they can go far...

Euro2008-Who will win?
Review of Euro 2008 in Austria and Switzerland: Which country do you think will win and why. by
Clash007
Advantages: Neutrality, fairness
Disadvantages: It's just an opinion
...This years Euro cup is very exiting indeed. Several teams have shown that they are capable to win. Some experts thought that France is going to win, but after their failure against Holland, these experts weren't so sure anymore. Then they decided to take a look at the Dutch team, and they discovered a serious threat for other teams. Holland has made serious effort to win the cup. They are not afraid of major football countries like France, because they have all presumptions to win. Their teamplay is nice and smooth, they have one of the best goalkeepers in the world, and what is really unique, they have a good egocentric player named Robben. However, I think one team is even better. That team has all the presumtions that Holland does, but they have even one more advantage. That advantage is staying calm . And the team that im talking...

Another Good Quality Hotel From Bewleys
Review of Bewley's Hotel Leopardstown, Leopardstown by
the_mad_cabbie
Advantages: Good quality, modern 3-star hotel
Disadvantages: A bit out in the sticks
.... Highly, highly recommended is their totally delicious "Guinness Stew" at around the Euro15 mark. It really hits the spot! Alongside the snack bar is a wet bar where you can avail of a real pint of the black stuff. (Or anything else that takes your fancy) It has a more formal restaurant called "The Brasserie" where a la carte meals are served in the evening.
The rooms are the usual 3-star standard hotel room; en-suite, in-room safe, tea and coffee making facilities, trouser-press, TV, hairdryer, iron and board, and free broadband internet access. Charges are per room per night, and are currently a very reasonable Euro89, but this is due to increase to Euro99 on the 1st April 2008. This is for the room only, and you'll have to pay an extra Euro11 if you want a cooked breakfast.
Plenty of car parking available in their underground car park...

Katsouranis.
Review of K. KATSOURANIS by
Milky2k8
Advantages: Solid midfielder
Disadvantages: Passenger sometimes
...Known as Kostas, his first big club was AEK Athens where he scored 49 goals before moving on to Benfica where he plays now. He's not one of the stars of the 2008 tornament but the midfielder knows where the net is which will be vital if Greece are to weave their way through a tough group. At 28, this is the peak of his career and he will be looking to put a show on to get himself in the shop window. He has been playing international football since 2003 and is looking to gain his 50th cap for Greece in Austria/Switzerland, which will only happen if Greece make it to the knockout stages. Watch out Euro 2008, he could be Greece's key to success....
