...This 3 man tent was bought for wild camping expeditions in lowland areas. I had hoped it would withstand being put up and down by enthusiastic teenagers! It can be purchased from Millets for a cost of £49.99. It weighs 4.9 Kg and has a hydrostatic head of 2000mm (most start from about 1500mm). It comes in a good size carry bag (20cm x 66cm) with great handles. The guy ropes are bright fluorescent yellow so not easy to trip over. Ease of use: The tent is really straight forward to put up and took 2 people about 10 minutes. There are 3 poles which are colour coded so that the right pole goes in the right place. Tents and 2 children under 3- what a match

Advantages: Easy and straight forward to erect.
Disadvantages: Not suitable for a larger family.

...Not- is the continuation of the title, especially when its your first time camping with them, Callum 2 years 8 months and Lucy 10mths (fast crawler!). This was also the first time my husband had put up this tent, and it was late and we were both tired hungry and irritable and so were the kids. Now add windy to this scene as well and me having to hold on to the tent whilst hubby knocks in the pegs and if I had been watchinh instead of doing then I would probably have been in hysterics. ...I first purchased the Eurohike 220 about 2 years ago when I was going on a Duke Of Edinburugh expedition, the tent was light weight and it was very easy to carry on the expedition. Another reason I bought the tent was because it was so easy to erect. The poles easily located in the channels and it just popped up. The simple job of hammering in the pegs followed and then you could use it to your hearts content. This is the type of tent you need after you have been on a 15 mile hike, something that is easy to put up with no fiddeling. The only problem with the tent is that it is too small it is about 5"8 long and now iam 6". This tent was a great tent and it served me well for the 2 years that it was in my possesion. Not just for mending tents

Advantages: good for memding small holes and tears

...Oh no I caught my Mac in a sac waterproof coat in the door of the car. I look at it; it has a small tear in it now. Bother, bother, bother. The tear is only small about a couple of cm /1 inch it is near the hem of the coat. Shall I throw the coat away? The rip will only get bigger. No I shall repair it and use this waterproof coat to Glastonbury festival; I would not want to take a new one there. I know that I can buy some patches for mending nylon fabrics that tents are made from .So I went into Blacks outdoor equipment shop and bought myself a Eurohike nylon repair kit. This kit cost me £2.99. The nylon repair kit is in a small clear plastic wallet with a card top which gives instructions for use on it . . My Tent with Rooms

Advantages: Breathable fabric keeps cool in the heat and warm when it is cooler
Disadvantages: It is quite weighty and quite expensive

My little two person tent.

Advantages: Easy to pitch
Disadvantages: everyone else at Glastonbury festival has one

...Time to get the tent out and make sure everything is in tiptop condition. It is Glastonbury in 4 weeks time and we use our Euro hike tent. Our tent is about 4 or 5 years old cost about £40 it is a green 2-man tent, yes it is big enough for 2 Adults and a child a bit of a squeeze but fine for a night or 2. The tent comes in a bag with handles fairly light, (cant find spec on wieght)easy to carry. This Euro hike tent is easy to put up. There is an outer waterproof skin this is supported by flexible rods, which you slide into place, and an inner skin, which you fix to the outer tent with lots of toggles; this inner tent has ground sheet attached already. There are tent pegs to fix the tent to the ground to stop it blowing away. It takes me 15 minutes to put it up on my own (I timed myself last year) Less time with another. Yes...

Eurohike Adventure Cookset with Burner

Advantages: Small, Compact, Lightweight, Affordable.
Disadvantages: Get's a bit hot when cooking.

...I go camping a lot! It would be fair to say that I enjoy it, very much! So it won't suprise you to learn that I love checking out camping shops for little gadgets or something new to experiment with. When it comes to going away, you want to reduce the bulk of whatever you're taking. Even more so when camping, because if you're camping properly you want to go back to basics as much as you can! This cookset made by Eurohike is brilliant! It's desgin means that you can easily nest each pot and pan inside one another to create a small bundle. Very space saving, very practical. A travel/carry bag is provided with the set. Made of Aluminium, this cookset is very light. An obvious downside to being made of metal however, is the heat conducting qualities. So when cooking with the set you need to be constantly aware of how hot it may be...

The ups and downs of a family tent.

Advantages: Lots of space for everyone.
Disadvantages: No longer made.

...The Khyam Michigan 12 was only made in 2007 so can be hard to come by now. But if you are after a large, well set out tent, and you find one of these then grab it whilst you can. The tent is an outer pitch first, or all in one. Personally we leave the inners in place which reduces the pitching time. The tent itself is large and can be difficult and heavy to put up. Saying that I am under 5ft and have limited mobility so if me and hubby can put it up between us then I'm sure others could easily. We have reduced the pitching time to around 30 - 45 minutes now, which is not bad considering. One good thing though, is that although the tent is large it still fits on most pitches so no extra charges. The tent has 3 inners. All or some can be removed if wanted. The largest is 6 berth. This is used by our 4 children and is just big enough...

A 4 man tent with no men! (HONEST)!!

Advantages: Just a cool looking, well designed and functional tent.

...With T in the park weekend over and a great time had by all, I thought I would review the tent that was my home for the weekend. The tent in question was a Confidence Mars 4 Man Waterproof Dome Tent and although it is a 4 ?MAN? tent there were only me and my two girlfriends staying in this one (well that?s my story and I am sticking to it)! Now I am no camper so I cannot really give too much comparison between this tent and any other except to say it was worlds apart from the old tents I used to camp in as a kid. This tent has one separate bedroom compartment with zippers which would have been useful if any of us had picked up some guy and needed a bit of privacy (BUT WE DIDNT)!! It also had air vents so whilst being completely waterproof it did not become sweaty and therefore wetter inside than it was out, possibly the best thing...
