...If you are thinking of going to Belfast then this is the place to stay. Situated in Belfast city center the Europa is a popular hotel with the tourists. The hotel is crammed with friendly staff who are always there ready to help. The food in the hotel is very nice and they also have a buffet style in the morning but if it is not what you like then you can just stroll around the corner into the center. There you will find lots of bars,nightclubs,restaurants and Irish pubs. The rooms are very modern and up to date and the whole hotel is spotless from top to bottom. If you are going to stay then make sure you bring a big wallet because the hotel can be pricey and you may also want some ear plugs for night time because around the hotel can get pretty noisy epically on weekends. Europa Hotel Belfast

...If you are going to Belfast then you got to check out this hotel. I loved this hotel. I thought that the hotel was very modern and up to date and also it was very clean. I thought that the hotel staff were very helpful and they were always willing to give a helping hand. The hotel is located in the very center of Belfast surrounded by clubs, pubs restaurants and there are lots of shops as well. Next door to the hotel is a bus station. I was visiting for a week and when I went into the bus station I was able to book trips to visit what the north has to offer. My only downsides about this hotel were that it was a little bit too noisy and the price of the food and drink was high. So if your visiting then you will really enjoy yourself but remember to bring along some ear plugs and a massive wallet....

Picos de Europa - ITS BEAUTIFUL!

Advantages: BEAUTIFUL
Disadvantages: Not for the none walkers of us

...I went up the Picos De Europa Mountain range as part of my Duke of Edinburgh expedition. I have to say, it was possibly the most beautiful mountain range i have ever encountered. I am really into my mountaineering. At the end of september i am walking up the national 3 peaks in 24 hours so if any of you live near ben nevis, scafell or snowdon, come and say hello. The support would be muchly appreciated. Picos de europa however. I found the best time to start walking was around 5/6 am and walk till about 12/1 pm as the heat at points was unbearable. Especially when you are at the top of a cold mountain and cant feel the heat because of the wind. Over the last few years through both business and pleasure I have stayed in hotels the length and breadth of not only the UK but mainland Europe and have come to the conclusion that you have seen one room, you have seen them all and to stick out from the crowd they have to possess something pretty special, such as my 6? 6? bed in Amsterdam or my 3ft deep bath in Prague, well I am sad to say that the Europa let me down on both these fronts but more about that later. Pension Miami Hotel, Barcelona, Spain.

Advantages: Close to centre, clean room, great staff, near great shops, cheap and clean!
Disadvantages: no view, alley way smells, people pee in alley way, noisy.

...After reading some very dodgy things about this hotel I made sure that my travel agent booked us a double room with a jacuzi bath (these are the biggest rooms that they have) and that was also away from the lift (hardly ever used to be fair). The hotel is a tad hard to find (but if you get the airport bus it drops you off at Universitat which is near the hotel). Please make sure that you do your reaserch into the location and print yourself off a map! We did still get lost and asked some very nice guys handing out flyers where it was! When you get there it does look like a hostel. It is next to an alley (I will talk about this later!) and you have to buzz to be let it (a great idea I feel!) The staff are SO nice and friendly and speak great English (compared to my lousy Catalonian!). They will give you directions, metro, train...

Fantastic Hotel

Advantages: Immaculate rooms, polite and courteous staff
Disadvantages: Bathroom became rather hot and damp

...Spent three nights at the Europa Tyrol, and it was a very enjoyable experience. The hotel is located opposite to the main station in Innsbruck and is only a short walk to the shops and the Golden Roof which is at the heart of the city. The hotel is actually connected to the main railway via a tunnel which offers exclusive use for guests. The rooms were immaculate, and very nicely furnished. My room had a typical Tyrolean feel which resembled a log cabin. The rooms were rather compact, however were sufficient. The bathroom was quite large and had a bath/ shower. My room however did not seem to have any ventilation in the bathroom and it did become rather damp and hot. The bedroom was air conditioned which due to the lovely weather was a godsend. The staff were all polite and would tend to every need. The bar area was clean...

Real Spain, romantic mountains.

...I had avoided Spain for over thirty years although I have travelled extensively elsewhere. What a mistake. The Picos de Europa and the area around them are astonishingly varied. The mountains themselves are not especially high, but they don't need to be. The combination of crisp limestone peaks, abundant sunshine, and the daily mist rolling over the lowands from the sea make these THE mountains. I have craved scenery like this all my life. To stand high on the mountain and look past the wild, grazing ponies toward valleys filled with clouds, pierced here and there by knife edged ridges. Fabulous. It isn't hard to find an unspoiled village or too in the hills. Nor is it hard to find a different good walk every day and if you overdo it, the beaches are quite nice too. No really. ...I went to visit spain in april 2008 for my birthday and stayed at hotel praga for 3 days. It is located out of the centre but not too far away, there is a metro station 5 min from the hotel which is great and easy to use, the same as the one in london if that makes it easier for you. its 1 euro for a one way ticket, the down side is the staff dont exactly speak alot of english, which can be tricky at busy times of the day.We got a taxi from the airport which cost about 27-28 euro, easy to check in and all they require is your passport and a credit card. The rooms were very clean and tidy with towels being changed all the time. It had good room service and a mini bar which wasnt that expensive, it had a marble bathroom and good space for clothes and other stuff. It had a nice big bar area downstairs, but for the area it was in there wasnt...

A top place to stay

Advantages: Central location, helpful staff, comfortable, well-maintained
Disadvantages: lifts congested, no gym

...The Europa is Northern Ireland's largest and possibly best hotel, although some people have disputed that the latter is no longer the case, with the Hilton now taking away most of the celebrity guests. I stayed in the Europa for ten days in July 2002 when I was managing the Austrian Cricket team at the ECC European Championship, and it provided us with an excellent base for which to prepare for the tournament (and yes if you have read bazza1603's op on the place we were the cricket group mentioned - unfortunately we didn't get to meet up though).
