Advantages: Very centrally placed Disadvantages: Noisy side street!!!
...I've just returned from a 7 day holiday with WA Shearings (see my other reviews for opinions on Shearings) staying at the Hotel Ostend. We stayed for 6 nights on a half board basis (July 30th- Aug 5th).
The hotel has a website: http://www.hotelostend.be/
For anyone travelling independently, you can check and book reservations online. The website also has a photo- guided tour of the hotel...
Advantages: Good base for exploring, good selection of shops, bars and restaurants. Disadvantages: Not as pretty as some other places. Building work is a problem at the moment.
...~ it is a bit basic and the breakfasts aren?t the best we?d ever had. It has an English style pub, televisions in rooms and en suite facilities?but this isn?t a hotel review so I?ll not go into too much detail. It does have a 24 hour reception though which is very useful if you want to take advantage of the late night bar opening!!
There are two really good bars in Ostende for those...
Advantages: Close to some good shops, a good metro station and not far from the Eiffel Tower. Disadvantages: Tiny room, paper thin walls (and I MEAN paper thin) and quite tired rooms.

The Hotel's Location
Europe Hotel is in an ideal location on a busy street. It's situated only a 10-15 minute walk away from the Effiel Tower, which was amusing on our first day as we stood with a map wondering where the busy street we were standing in...
