Select a bargain

Advantages: Cheap good qualtiy clothing
Disadvantages: Could do with bigger stores

...I recently discovered an excellent little shop named select. I found this little aladins cave which is packed full of low budget bargains in Rutherglen shopping centre which i usually only visit for a cafe lunch as the shops in recent years really havent been up to much but when i noticed a new shop had filled the space of one of the many vacant retail units i couldnt resist going in for a quick browse. Before i knew it i had been in the shop for more than 45 minutes and was making my way to the till with arms full of pretty summer dresses and a few other goodies. I purchased three dresses to wear over leggings. Advantages: A fantastic collection of shorts.
Disadvantages: None.

...Cinema16 is a fantastic compilation of European short films, giving you a glimpse at some of the most undervalued cinematographic handiworks, many who were crafted by some of the leading voices of modern cinema, such as Danish director Lars Von Trier, the controversial English comedian Chris Morris, and even the madcap French director, behind the infamous Dobermann (1999-2000), Jan Kounen. The funny thing about the Cinema16 DVD is that there is no rating to be found on the box; especially funny when you consider the strictness of the BBFC, and also, it's occasionally ridiculous ratings (for example, Rosemary's Baby being rated 18 - pathetic). ...I was saying to my best friend that we need some good clothes shops for women in our area. We live in a small town with not a great variety of shops, the one store we usually went to was peacocks but i think they have started to go down hill a little bit,there clothes tend to look cheap. To our suprise the following week a new shop was to open and of course it was select , i was so excited i love to shop and it was local what more could i ask for. Opening day of select we dived in to the shop and i had gone to heaven not only were the clothes execellent value for money , they were execellent quality too,and they had a openning day sale( bliss ) The overall layout of the shop was good but a little bit crowded,as i had my son in his pushchair i found he grabbed quite a few clothes from the rails(a bit emmbarassing when he is trailing...

Select your favourite clothes at a low price

Advantages: Good clothes for the prices
Disadvantages: The rails and the changing rooms

...As I walk along the busy highstreet of Weston-super-Mare, Select cathes my eye with the big sale signs in the window. I instantly think ahhh plenty of bargins so I find myself trying to weave myself though the crowds and eventually I have reached the shop. I'm standing in the doorway of Select scanning the shop with my eyes deciding in which direction to head. The shop looks crammed with people and the clothes rails look quite close together so the layout to me isn't very pleasing. Oh well, I think to myself shall I risk getting squashed or shall I leave the gorgeous jeans to my right. Of course the first option sounds good so I take a deep breath and squeeze myself over to the jeans. Medal of Honor; European Review

Advantages: Great sound, great game in general
Disadvantages: Graohics need tweaking, too short.

...Meadl of Honor; European assault is a great game for a number of reasons. First, all the levels you play through more or less happened in WWII. This enhances the realistic effect, and puts players in the position a soldier might have been in. Second, it's realistic. hugely realistic. Ok, sure, you get the health pickups, instant medikits, a handy adrenalin rush that makes you invincable, but those are what you'd expect from any game, and you can change most of those things in game anyway. I'll start with the basics. Graphics. The graphics in this game aren't that bad, on the basis that you are too busy blowing Germans' heads off to notice. When you look closer, you see that the guy you're chucking grenades at is slightly "boxey," the ridges on that fuel tank aren't quite rounded enough etc, but, overlooking those small details...

Select and Protect Home Insurance

Advantages: First class service
Disadvantages: Need to use Google to find one of their agents call back service.

...I had heard of this insurance company through a friend of mine who came back off holiday to find her terraced house flooded by a burst pipe. She had her home insurance with Select and Protect and phoned them with the news. They financed a new underground pipe to be put in place and paid for the replacement (new for old) of her damaged furniture etc. She was so pleased with their response, and especially the speed at which they reacted that she felt honour bound to recommend them. So i used them for my landlords insurance. Glad i did! A few months ago, the upstairs emmersion heater sprung a leak and emptied itself thought the living room ceiling and soaked anything in its path. I now have a new ceiling and carpets and my tenatns have new furniture and enjoyed two nights in a hotel while the house was dried out using dehumidifiers...

Cadburys Christmas Selection Boxes

Advantages: Here we go chocolate again

...Well this one had to be a bit on the festive side and today I went to bingo and won £50 and a mountain of selection boxes. Now these are a treat as I do not normally buy them now as all my friends kids are all grown up, but secretly I do like to get one or two. The Cadburys 99p section box is the one I am going to write about, however you can get larger ones that go up to around £5 and if you look out for the £2.99 ones you can normally buy two for a £5. Bargain eh, well lets take a look. The Packing = A very pretty tin foiled packet measuring around 12 inches by 8 inches. The writing is in gold and says Cadbury and in red it has selection. On the far right is a little mouse in a christmas stocking fast asleep on a christmas tree next to a blue bauble. It also shows you the contents on the front. On the back...

Yummy Cadburys biscuit selection

Advantages: Good quality, no skimping on chocolate.
Disadvantages: Pack no big enough, less of the best biscuits. a bit expensive

Fare enough the plain old digestive is good for that hunger pang on the move, but the selection of biscuits I’m reviewing here are your more should I say “High class” those sort of biscuits you’d buy if your mum was coming round for a cuppa. You would maybe buy these for a special occasion or if you felt like having a treat but didn’t want sweets. The price is relatively high but there seems to be no expense spared, they are what you would maybe call posh or higher quality biscuits. ...In medal of honor European Assault for the first time in the long running Medal of honor series you can command other allied soldiers. This is a nice change and only adds to the game giving it more interactivity and makes it more realistic and enjoyable. Although i really enjoyed this title i found it not to be as good as other Medal of honor titles such as " Allied Assualt ". Slazenger V500 Select Cricket Bat

Advantages: Brilliant middle, nice design
Disadvantages: None as yet

...After finishing my first season at my local cricket club with no cricket bat of my own, I decided it was about time to buy my own. After lots of recommendations about different bats I decided to go to the sports store and find out more. Thats when I stumbled upon an end of season price for the Slazenger V500 Select of £30. Usually this particular bat is £70. I plumped for the Short handle (mainly because it was the only one left in the shop!!). I wasn't disappointed. The bat didn't need 'knocking in' due to the protective cover over the front so I was straight in the Winter Nets with it. After a few overs getting used to the bat, I found the middle quite easily. The middle of this bat is not for the faint hearted!! A nice cover drive saw the ball hurtling THROUGH the bottom of the net and towards the far corner of the room...
