Crash Bandicoot is a bargain basement Taz, a capering, rolling-eyed dingo-like creature. Over the few years before his PS2 debut, Crash Bandicoot: the Wrath of Cortex, he's appeared in various PSone titles--usually Mario wannabe platformers, but there've also been blatant Mario Party and Mario Kart rip-offs in the shapes of Crash Bash and Crash Team Racing. Never less than fun, yet never a realistic contender when compared against the genre-defining Mario 64, Crash has sometimes received a fairly rough ride from the press. With original developers Naughty Dog passing on the chance to produce a PS2 version, Travellers Tales have created this effort, and in terms of gameplay, there's no progression here whatsoever. This is Crash as we know and tolerate him, albeit with fancier lighting effects. All the familiar faces return, including (obviously, given the title) arch-goon Dr Cortex. And it's great, as it goes. Ignore the on-rails nature of the gameplay and the dismally slow loading times; it's unlikely you'll come across a jauntier, more ridiculous, stupid-brilliant game for some time. As well as the usual platform action, there are mine-cart chases á la Indiana Jones & The Temple of Doom, hysterically playable Marble Madness-style levels, secrets, bonuses, vehicles, new moves; all kinds of everything, as Dana might have put it if she were into video games rather than winning the 1970 Eurovision Song Contest. Simple to pick up and play, crammed with outlandish ideas, colourful, loud and a laff riot into the bargain, it would be a hard heart that didn't warm to this old 'coot. --Steve Colton ... less

Compared to the spectacular shows other performers put on these days, the concert featured on Homecoming--A-Ha Live at Vallhall is a very simple affair. There's no fancy lighting or special effects, with the plain stage set looking like a remnant from the 1996 Eurovision Song Contest. In fact with the guys' looks and music having changed little after nearly two decades in the business, the concert has a distinct feel of 1985 about it. That said, the track-listing contains an equal sprinkling of greatest hits, and songs from the more recent Minor Earth Major Sky. The newer tracks sit particularly well alongside the classics, and you can detect the trio's joy of being able to perform the newer songs such as "Little Black Heart" and "Summer Moved On" live. The home audience, many who grew up listening to A-Ha, clearly adore the guys just as much they did when they were teens. Sadly judging by the shots of the audience, the fans (predominantly 30-something women) haven't aged as well as Harket and co. On the DVD:Homecoming on disc has a great audio soundtrack (Dolby Digital 5.1), but the concert visuals are grainy and poor. This is more than compensated for by the vast amount of bonus material included. As well as three short documentaries on how Pal, Magne and Morten spent their seven-year break from A-Ha, there's a 20-minute interview with the band and behind-the-scenes footage of the after show party presented by a rather annoying Ian Wright. As well additional live performances of "Early Morning" and "Summer Moved On" recorded at a benefit concert, the videos for the four singles from Minor Earth Major Sky are included. The comprehensive English subtitles are particularly handy for understanding the Norwegian dialogue during the concert. --John Galilee ... less

Eurovision Song Contest 2010 CD Music
Advantages: z
Disadvantages: z
...based. But this particular track compared to the first 2 does appear to be short in length.
Track 5 Tom Dice - Me and my guitar - (Belgium) Tom Dice? another singer I have never heard of, in fact previous to listening to listening to these tracks I have never heard any of them before, but this chap, is another singing in English, a good singer with a refreshing voice. To Belgium's credit he sings ok, but when he stresses the word 'guitar' his singing stumbles somewhat. This entry is a genuine contender to do reasonably well in my opinion. The way in which this track is done, is nice to listen to.
Track 6 Miroslav Miro - You are an angel - (Bulgaria) Surely not a country that does well in Eurovision song contest, the musician is singing in his language combined with a nice piano piece. The piano piece sounds better than his singing...

Crying Baby all the way home from Eurovision
Advantages: Terry Wogan
Disadvantages: You will have hangover in morning
...The Eurovision was first launched in 1956 and contained only 7 entrants, since that day it is still going strong and now has 26 entrants and this years contest is this Saturday and the host country is Latvia.
Will I be watching, of course I will, not for the musical talent I hasten to add, but for the drunken comments by Terry Wogan, that make me double up in laughter each year. Give that guy some maly whiskey and the Eurovision and you have a stand up comdien.
So which countries are competing this years contest are they any good, well it?s time for me to give you a run down on this years entrants and my personal view on the artist and the lyrics.
Austria
Song = Weil Der Mensch Zahlt (Man Is The Measure of All Things)
Artist = Alf Poier
This song is about Alf Poiers view on how animals have to live in as he puts it...
