Compaq Evo N800 lasts and lasts and lasts
Advantages: Reliable, Durable, Great display, Portable desktop
Disadvantages: None
...Nearly 4 years ago I bought myself my first well known laptop after 3 lots of non branded ones. There is a world of difference and with careful selection I ended up with the Compaq Evo N800. What a break that turned out to be.
First things first - the screen is superb with top laptop resolution rather than the crappy max of 1280xnothing offered by most other models out there even today. 1400 x 1050 gives too small a font some might say. Load of rubbish. This screen has the best viewability I've ever witnessed by which I mean that it's easily readable from any angle in front of the screen. No, it's not widescreen but don't let that put you off.
Battery time is a solid 2-3 hours depending on activity and even after 4 years of the same battery it's still the same.
Layout of ports etc is pretty standard and the only thing...

You Got To Have It
Advantages: Good Battery Life, Energy Saving
Disadvantages: Weight and design of the laptop
...This is one of the best laptop that I have ever own.
When I scout for a laptops, I was searching only looking out for Fujitsu. I have read a number of good reviews. However, after shopping for about two weeks, I am fed up with Fujitsu laptops.
In the midst of my search, I came across Evo N800v. I was not interested as the design was not nice and I feel that it is relatively heavy.
After comparing the price and configuration of IBM and Fujitsu laptops, I decided that to buy Evo N800v. I never regret buying it. In fact, I fall in love with the laptop and use it almost every hour every day.
Evo N800v has good battery life. The battery could last about 3.5 hours which I was really really surprised. It does not take long to charge. The weight saver is great. It cuts down the weight of the laptop when I carry it...

Evo review
Advantages: Great writing and photograph, let's you dream!
Disadvantages: None!
...Top Gear, currently the UKs most popular car magazine, is for people who know about cars and want to appear knowledgable. Evo is the magazine that the true petrolheads read.
It combines mouthwatering photography with excellent writing that really give you a feel for what the car is like to drive. Of particular note, Evo give very few review of 'normal' cars, instead they focus almost solely on supercars. This is great, as, let's face, we don't really want to read about the new Toyota Aygo - we really want to read about the Ferrari F430 Scuderia.
One of my favourite sections is called the 'long termers'. With this section, Evo is given a car by a manufacturer (or, with some of the more exotic metal, contributors write the article about their own cars) for a period of 6 months to a year. It lets one know what the car is like to own...

A high octane feast of EVOness
Advantages: Good quality writing and amazing photography
Disadvantages: Once a month is not enough
...I was very suprised to find that there were only a few other Opinions on EVO and so felt compelled to write one of my own.
I have been a car fanatic for as long as I can remember and have tried reading most of the other motoring magazines at one time or another. Top Gear, Auto Express, Performance Car I have even went through a phase of reading Max Power! These were all entertaining enough, but there always seemed to be something missing.
This is where EVO comes in. I first read EVO a couple of years ago, and was completely blown away. I took out a years subscription the very next month, and as soon as this ran out I renewed it. I usually find that after 12 issues of a magazine I fancy a change from it, but I can't ever see myself getting tired of EVO and have been a subscriber ever since my first issue.
So what exactly is EVO I...

Evo, a way of life
Advantages: Everything you could wish for in a read
Disadvantages: You can only dream of owning most of the cars featured
...Evo magazine is faultless, the writing is genious involving you in every article dropping you into the driving seat of that car. It is an escapist magazine for most giving you an almost first hand experience of the feel, sound, and attitude of these cars.
Subscription
If you join as a member to their website before the 25th June, then you can get the first three issuses for £3, going onto £18.20 for 6 issues. I have only just subscribed for the first three issues, but have all the intention to carry on to subscribe.
The cars
The cars featured range from practical, but insanely fast saloon's such as the m5 to stripped out road racers such as an Ultima GTR, which I must say I have fallen in love with since I read about it in Evo. There are regular group tests such as the best "drivers" car for under £20,000, buyers guides...

Compaq Evo N600c little soldier!
Advantages: Durable, loads of fixes on the hp site, quite nifty for its age
Disadvantages: just getting on a bit
...Hi and welcome to my review of the Compaq Evo N600c.
Please look for my video review which should be up in the next few days or so.
This item isnt available new, but is well worth a purchase second hand. As with all my reviews, items are used in the most demanding places around the world, they dont always survive, but this little baby has done me proud.
Without any replacement parts (Not even a battery!) it has survived in several continents and in extreme temperatures and conditions (see below)
The Compaq N600c is a hard wearing reliable laptop that can easily kick the rear end out of even the newest of models.
Its construction is fantastic, meaning that even when dropped, it usually survives! All bits and bobs can be pulled out and replaced with ease, i.e. the DVD can be removed, and replaced with a floppy, the Hard...

Cyborg evo - A casual simmers dream
Advantages: Fully customisable, left & right handed, solid throttle
Disadvantages: Rudder twist can be overly sensitive
...the stick through its full motion of X,Y,Z movements and this seems to sort the problem but it is a bit of a pain to do it.
If you want a cheap and accurate joystick the Cyborg Evo is excellent, but if people are into hardcore flight sims more expensive sticks may be a better option. But for a casual simmer this is a brilliant stick for the price....

Cagiva Mito Evo II
Advantages: Electric start, good brakes,916 Looks,Sticky Tyres and inspires confidence and it looks bigger than it`s engine size.
Disadvantages: Dodgy Neutral Light (tells fibs)it says it`s on but the bike is still in 1st gear so pull that clutch in when you hit start.
...After having a long time off a motorcycle I decided to go back and have a second go.After nipping around the local Bike shops i decided that the Cagiva Mito Evo II was the one for me.Now I am 6ft 2" tall and am built like a brick outhouse and i could sit on this bike with no cramps and after having doubts about the seat it was still comfortable.I also had the bike fitted with the optional factory kit for increased performance (£250 fitted). After it was run in very carefully using Castrol TTS it was time to have fun.Local `A` road was selected and the throttle was opened up - the world went into reverse and this thing overtook everything and I MEAN everything that was in my path for the next mile. The 1st roundabout came up and that massive front disc scrubbed off the speed effortlessly.A whole summer in North Wales on this thing was...

HP Compaq Evo n600c
Advantages: CHEAP, well styled, good for travelling
Disadvantages: bit old, without maintanance can become slow.
...I am writing this review to inform the good people that good things in life can come cheap, my n600c is the best purchase of my life so far.
As i got this laptop for about 80 pounds i decided to upgrade it with some more RAM at the moment im running an Intel Pentium III m and Microsoft XP with 767mb RAM. the total cost of this laptop with upgrades was 110 pounds, considering this has nearly 1GB of RAM it is perfect for browsing the web and is very well at doing basic functions, Browsing the web is very fast and with the right browser and settings multi tasking is very good considering it has a singular core.
The speed for the specs overall is good, the sound and video card are not spectacular but obviously can still play music and video at a basic level (youtube, itunes etc) it is great for going anywhere, its relatively small...
