On a standard 4GB SD-HC card at 12 million pixels you get get around 1145 pictures when using the 'fine' compression mode. If you choose 'normal' then you get around 2339 pictures. There are options to record at 8 million pixels, 5 million pixels, 2 million pixels, 0.3 million pixels for sending pictures via email and a Widescreen option for wide size prints. Given that I paid £6.99 for my 4Gb Sandisk Ultra memory card I think this is excellent value for money. If you get a couple of cards then you can happily snap away for ages! Garmin Nuvi 200w Sat Nav System

Advantages: Easy to use, does what it's suppsed to do!
Disadvantages: Satellite pairing takes ages, no mains charger!

I have had no previous experience with sat nav systems, however I found the Nuvi 200w to be extremely easy to use and very user friendly. It does have a few minor faults, with it's long satellite pairing wait, and the lack of a mains charger, however these can be picked up fairly cheaply. Apart from that, I cannot fault the Nuvi 200w. As well as being very stylish, and with a high quality feel, it also does exactly what it's designed to do, which is fundamental, as well as being packed with a wealth of other top features. Sony Alpha A200 (Digital SLR)

Disadvantages: Manual modes

...camera is compatible with the old Minolta lenses - which are cheaper and often better that the Sony ones (for more advanced photos). The manual settings are easy to use, however are a little rigid, and I find do not give you the same flexibility as some of the more expensive digital SLRs or manual ones (Cannon ones are very good for this), however for the price of the Sony, the settings are reasonable. Down to the most important point - image quality. I cannot really find fault with this at all, and this is comparable to some of the much more expensive Canon and Pentax SLRs! The lens provided with this camera is not the best for very close up and macro photography, however it tends to perform very well for any other shots - and there is always the option to change to a better lens for these purposes. Failed to Excel for Me

Advantages: Can be used at very low temperatures
Disadvantages: Not suitable for hand washing, overpowering scent on Febreze version, made stains worse

...The Sony Alpha 200 is an excellent entry level DSLR available at very attractive prices. It offers a very good set of features that I will go over in more detail, later in the review. This kit includes the 18-70mm lens which gives it a much larger zoom range over it's competitors (both Canon and Nikon give their entry models an 18-55mm, about a 3x zoom), for a much lower price. THE BODY The camera's body is robust and solid- however it does sport a 'plasticy' feel to it. The Sony A200 is also slightly larger than the Nikon and Canon entry level models- whether that's a positive or a negative depends on your needs (i.e. do you like have a lot of space on the camera body? We have never flown with these before but my mum had on a couple of occasions and couldn't fault them. On arrival at Gatwick with tons of time to spare we thought we'd go and see where to book in thinking it was early and we'd be at the front of the que of people...how wrong! Excel had about four flights checking in on as many desks so the que was pretty massive. It moved steadily and soon we were at the front. We were asked all of the usual about packing our own bags etc. The check in staff were okay but not overly friendly. Oh well they couldn't dampen my spirits we were going on holiday! Sony a200 - one of the best budget dslr cameras available.

Advantages: Great battery life, comfortable in the hands, picture quality.
Disadvantages: Flimsy memory card and remote release slot.

...I was looking for a new camera and had a budget of around £300. Compact cameras such as the Panasonic Lumix TZ and the Nikon Coolpix P80 kept coming up, as did the Nikon D40 and the Sony a200. Advantages: Good shade selection, good consistency, easy to apply, good end result.
