BA Miles and the Executive Club

Advantages: Use of Lounge, free Airmiles, Upgrade vouchers
Disadvantages: You can lose your membership quickly, if you stop flying for any time

...Well, there has been not too many complementary experiences about the BA Miles scheme, which was born this time last year, from the old Airmiles scheme. I have to say, I have been pretty pleased with my lot from BA, particularly, as I have done most of my flights for business and didn't have to pay to earn my miles anyway. Can't grumble at that, eh? I had been a memeber of BA Executive Club, collecting Air Miles for about five years or so, when the scheme was transferred to BA Miles last year. Yes, it was more expensive, to use them for domestic and short haul flights (13000 BAmiles now required), but BA compensated for that, by transferring miles collected under the old scheme, to the new scheme at a rate of 14 BA Miles for one old air mile. BA Executive Club - an easy way of travelling

Advantages: On-line check-in, easy to use, you can choose your seat
Disadvantages: None for me yet

British Airways Executive Club is for me.

Advantages: Flown several times free, or up-graded.
Disadvantages: Dates are difficult to come by.

...After the second time I went back to England, on British Airways, I decided to sign up for their frequent flyer miles. I figured I would be visiting family at least once a year, so I might as well reap the benefits. Both Len and I have the Blue Executive card. That is the bottom of the range, and I feel after 15 trips with them, that it is all that we will achieve. I assume business flyers obtain the Silver and Gold status. Basically it is the fare class that gives you points. I always go Ecomony, apart from my last trip, free Club Class, but I will explain more later in this review. BA Executive Club Household Account

Advantages: Accumulate lots of miles
Disadvantages: Don't get a household account and try and spend them

...BA Miles Household account is the biggest pain out. I thought it would be a good idea to merge my BA miles with my husbands so we signed up for the Household account. All was fine until I went to book tickets and then found out we can only get tickets for myself and my husband as the 2 members of the account. I didn't add the kids as they don't hold BA executive cards and there didn't seem any point in them having one either. But apparently I now can't book tickets for them. It supposedly says all this in the Rules and Regulations but those are as clear as mud. Even after having read them about 6 times it wasn't any better. Execution and Excitement

Advantages: A very interesting day out
Disadvantages: Some parts of the tour contained information that was quite distressing

...more importantly for some people he was very funny. The history of the tower is obviously not always the most pleasant, there were a lot of executions (although not as many as you would think) and other unpleasant bits of history but the Yeoman Warder presented the information in a way that made you laugh but at the same time didn't take away from the horror of it. The tour goes around the grounds, pointing out the sites that are usually of the most interest. Obviously it's not possible to go into all of the history of the tower in one hour so it really is just the more famous points that are picked up on, for example Lady Jane Gray's execution, Anne Boleyns Execution, the disappearance of the two princes. I already had a good knowledge of many of the famous prisoners in the tower but didn't know much about why the tower was built...

Review of Executive Decision (DVD)

A good idea, poorly executed.

Advantages: Great concept, stunning graphics, amazing atmosphere, good score.
Disadvantages: Unrealistic combat, VAT system poorly executed, little variation in graphical themes.

The physics engine didn't really account for it, as the effect of firing off a few rounds into a mutant's brain doesnt really cause him to move his head all that much. On that note, the balance isnt great in terms of firepower. It takes too many shots to kill an enemy (The game isnt too hard, just a little irritating) and this makes the whole feel of the game a bit silly. All in all, it just could have been done much better. In summary, the game is way overrated. Summary: Could have been done way better, but still good....

Executive error

Advantages: beautiful views and good transport system
Disadvantages: lift could not be accessed . food and buffet style not 4 star

...We visited this hotel on 15th aug 2008 for a well earned rest. Booked the executive suite for a 2 night break (not cheap) Arrival was met with chaos at the desk as there were 2 weddings in progress, eventually got attended to and a nod of the head towards the lift, we had to wait for lift (there is only one that takes about 4 people and I suitcase as there were staff taking laundry baskets to basement. The suite was fine although a bit jaded plent of space and a beautiful view. As a treat I had ordered champagne which was in our room but could have been chilled. No fridge in the suite. Our evening meal was a massive disappointment, buffet style few choices and a queue. Food was litterly slapped on the plate and looked less appetising, my husband did enjoy his pork however I was disappointed in the turkey slice I was given.The service...
