First Published back in 1973 as a follow up to his Novel "Riotous Assembly" two years earlier this is a Book that has been doing the rounds for many years. The Story is set in the Town of Piemburg in South Africa and centres around the farcical Character that is Kommandent van Heerden, who is the Town's Chief of Police who has an unhealthy facsination for the English and their way of life. Double Exposure by Carol Smith

Advantages: A nice read with some good twists and turns
Disadvantages: Not to sure about the ending.

Nostalgia for Northern Exposure

Advantages: Good, well-made series
Disadvantages: Quite dear for a DVD nowadays

...Remember getting together with friends to watch Northern Exposure on telly in the '90s? No? If not, then you can fill this gap in your life by getting the DVD, available only from HMV at the rather costly price of £24. (I got it as a gift, but sneaked a look at the receipt!) Paid Exposure - A new brand name in Paid Surf

Advantages: Super fast support, honest program, friendly atmosphere, free money !

Review of Paid Exposure

The dangers of exposure

Advantages: Acting, the majority of the film
Disadvantages: Ending is a bit lame

...due to exposure to radiation. The film brings home a message of morals and ethics, and how some people are overtaken by greed and the pressure of deciding what is most important in life. The acting and storytelling is good all round, although, without spoiling things, I felt the ending was a bit lame and those producing the film tailed off towards the end. I'm not sure if this had anything to do with legal reasons, but it did spoil the film somewhat. I watched this film on a DVD that came free with a Sunday newspaper quite a while ago, as part of a personal 'challenge' I have set. As such, the film literally has no extras with it. Indeed, putting the DVD in causes the film to start straight away. If you want to buy it, the film is available on DVD from amazon.co.uk for around the £3 mark. It's worth a watch, but nothing special...

Disadvantages: some might find it pretentious

...album that is (nearly) conventionally ?song based.? Exposure is that album. It is also an amazingly varied album. In parts it may appear a little pretentious but as often as not what people refer to as pretentious is nothing more than an attempt to do something original or inventive and when it fails, it?s awful and so people go ?bah, pretentious rubbish,? rather than attempt to interact with the music and appreciate that there are different aims and achievements. Sometimes sonically, texturally; see Adrian Belew?s Belewprints where three tracks are attempts to use ?found? sounds rhythmically, sonically and then the two combined. He is investigating sound; I admit these aren?t fantastic pieces of music but they make you think, and are surrounded by some great tracks, which makes up for it. But back to Exposure. It begins...
