Holiday Inn Express (Glasgow) - Right in the Heart of the City Visitors to Glasgow will find this the perfect base from which to see the sights. It is next to the Buchanan Galleries shopping centre and virtually next door to the huge 7 floor UGC cinema. (This gets very busy in the evenings, so I would advise placing a booking earlier in the day.) The Burrell Collection is within walking distance. It's especially handy for a short city break when you don't have much time to travel from the hotel into the city centre. There is, however, less easy access to new visitor attractions... ...My stay at the Express by Holiday Inn was absolutly great, I was welcomed by all members off staff as I arrived and they were all very friendly and very helpful. I was asked if there was anything I needed and if I would like a coffee and i was checking in. Even from the reception the hotl looked Lovely, it had a huge Lounge area where people were sitting down waitng for either their room's or a cab. The bar area is only small but when you want a qiuet drink its ideal, serving Alcoholic drinks, Soft drinks, Tea, Coffe and many more.From here I was standing at the reception desk I could also see a dining area where a few guest's were being served their breakfast. From the way things were looking I was really going to enjoy my stay here, even if it was only for one night. The Hotel itself has got 126 rooms on 4 levels...Ground, Level 1... Read review

...Holiday Inn Express Aberdeen This hotel is a modern, purpose built hotel with 155 bedrooms. We Stayed at this Hotel on Friday the 18th and Saturday the 19th of May 2007. We were meeting two of our Ciao friends and wanted somewhere near central Aberdeen. Location: Chapel Street, off Union Street; the main thoroughfare of Aberdeen, with The Bon Accord Shopping Centre and various pubs, eateries and lots of little side streets with exclusive shops. Cost: Four person bedroom: double bed and sofa bed: £55.00 per room, per night. The main Entrance has a Small reception area with a few comfortable sofas and a bar area to the left with further comfortable seating, coffee tables and two large screen televisions. ...I was in Nashville for a classical music conference attended by more than 1000 delegates, so I was surprised that this Holiday Inn - one of the overflow hotels was listed as being only 2 star. I needn't have worried. It proved to be a more than adequate base for my stay and had some great plus points which to me puts it more in the 3 star level as far as we Brits grade hotels. I paid about £70 a night booked direct. The room was typical Holiday Inn Express, no frills, clean, basic furnishings, but with huge US tv and very comfy king size bed (better than in British Holiday Inns in my experience) usual things like hairdryer, ironing board, coffee/tea + kettle, free newspaper all OK. Disadvantages: Bit of a tube ride into centre of London

...When --------- We (Nicola, Vicki and myself) stayed at the Express by Holiday Inn: Earls Court on 03 October for one night. Why ------- We had tickets to Wicked and wanted a hotel close to the Apollo Victoria theatre (it was only a couple of tube stops). How Much -------------- We paid £119.00 for one night in a "triple" room. We booked this directly with Holiday Inn, because I am a priority club member, we did try to get travel agent discount, but we had no luck! First Impression ----------------------- From the Holiday Inn's website we were told that West Kensington was the closest tube station to the hotel; it was a good ten minute walk, with luggage.
