...I applied for the american express platinum card mainly being because of the initial offer of the 5% cash back for the first three months. after the three months it then goes to 1.5% which is alright when compared to other cashback cards on the market at the moment. I use my american express basically like a debit card and always always pay it off in full so you can benefit from the cashback...
