Impressed by Holiday Inn Express!

Advantages: Cheapish, comfortable, clean and new
Disadvantages: on a ringroad - but not a problem really

...This was my first ever experience of a Holiday Inn Express Hotel, but having stayed at this hotel recently I am sure I will be using this chain again. I found the Holiday Inn Express Cheltenham to be excellent value for money,very clean, well situated and with all the elements for a peaceful and agreable overnight stay. Location: The hotel is situated right in the centre of Cheltenham, a town which is on the edge of the Cotswolds and an agreable destination in its own right. The hotel was easily found being opposite "The Brewery", a new food and retail development that is well sign posted. The building is very new looking and plastered white - the Holiday Inn Express new logo makes it easy to spot. The Hotel had a small sign displayed at the front of the Hotel window advertising rooms from ninety nine Pounds per room per night. Regarding the Hotel's location the nearest tube station is West brompton station which takes around ten minutes to walk from the station to the Hotel, or Fulham broadway is around fifteen minutes away. The Hotel's immediate location is also close to South Kensington. Therefore Hotel visitors are treated to a great array of shopping malls in Fulham and high streets that surround the area. Holiday Inn Express Leeds the way to good service.

Advantages: Excellent self-service breakfast. Clean rooms and good facilities.
Disadvantages: Rooms are a bit too small generally. Bit expensive.

...On my trips to Leeds I always book into the Holiday Inn Express, chiefly because it is the closest hotel to where I need to be. Within this review I refer to my last experience of staying there about 10 months ago. Outside the building doesn't look too attractive, and the entrance is a bit basic with its blue doors and plants. However, when you make your way through the doors, the lobby is much more impressive. As I approached the counter to sign in, I was greeted by a member of the staff politely within a few seconds. I had already booked so it was just a matter of signing the piece of paper and taking my key card for my room. I was on the 6th of its 7 floors and being rather lazy, decided to take one of the 2 lifts they have. ...The Express by Holiday Inn hotel in Glenrothes is one I have stayed in a couple of times, when visiting the Fife area of Scotland. Located on the outskirts of Glenrothes, the hotel is situated in a quiet location, set back from the road, with ample car parking. The hotel has two floors with 49 rooms. All the rooms are non -smoking. On entering the hotel, the reception area is small but adequate, as this is one of the smaller hotels in the chain, but it does feel quite cosy and friendly. The reception staff are always friendly and helpful and I have never had any problems checking in. We were meeting two of our Ciao friends and wanted somewhere near central Aberdeen. Lichfield Holiday Inn Express.

Advantages: Comfortable
Disadvantages: High price.

...located close by, I believe it is an esporta one. It is suitable for commuters who need an overnight stop somewhere whilst travelling on business but i also has facilities to hold conferences there too. There is ample free parking available. Disabled spaces are just near to the entrance tpo the hotel. There are adapted rooms for the disabled and also to access the upper floor a lift is provided. I recommend this as a nice hotel with easy access to the major travel routes, motorways, Birmingham and for those wanting to visit the tourist places in Lichfield....

Holiday Inn Express Nashville Downtown

Advantages: Value for money, good facilities, near "Music City" centre
Disadvantages: Bus ride to malls if you're there for the shopping

...I was in Nashville for a classical music conference attended by more than 1000 delegates, so I was surprised that this Holiday Inn - one of the overflow hotels was listed as being only 2 star. I needn't have worried. It proved to be a more than adequate base for my stay and had some great plus points which to me puts it more in the 3 star level as far as we Brits grade hotels. I paid about £70 a night booked direct. The room was typical Holiday Inn Express, no frills, clean, basic furnishings, but with huge US tv and very comfy king size bed (better than in British Holiday Inns in my experience) usual things like hairdryer, ironing board, coffee/tea + kettle, free newspaper all OK. ...I stayed in this hotel for a long weekend in November 2008. The hotel itself is located on the High Street which is a busy main road running through Stratford. It is approximately 10-15 minutes walk from the train station. There is a lot of construction work taking place in the area, but I did not hear any noise at all. As you enter the hotel there is a tidy and modern reception area with a seating area, bar and dining area to the rear. The reception staff are extremely friendly. Access to the rooms is available via one of two lifts. You need to use your room keycard to make the lifts work. The rooms are smaller than those you get in normal Holiday Inn hotels, in keeping with the Express brand. However, the twin room I received was extremely clean and fresh. ...Holiday Inn Express at Glasgow Airport. Me and my girlfriend booked this hotel 3 weeks before hand and got a great rate of £55 for one night including full breakfast.We got the free airport bus from buchan bus station which takes to outside the main terminal at the airport .When we arrived we were amazed at how close it was actually to the main terminal of Glasgow Airport less than 2 minutes which was very handy for our morning departure.We checked in around 1630 and were told in detail the facility's , restaurant opening times , breakfast times and all check out details by two friendly staff receptionists one lady also helped us with the masses of luggage we had to the room. We were surprised with the quality of the hotel with it just being a budget hotel the entrance to the hotel resembles the same look in decor as any 4 or 5 star...
