Marmite Yeast Extract: Haters You're doing it wrong!

Advantages: traditional,vegetarian,vegan,tasty,versatile,fun,unique
Disadvantages: goes very syrupy if left in a cold place, the last bit is hard to get out of the jar.

It is dark brown in colour and has a very gooey, sticky texture, It is usually spread on buttered toast or can be used quite flexibly in sandwiches! (i like it with grated cheddar and tomato), it also can be used to add richness of flavour to sauces and is a very good vegetarian substitute for beef extract. The advertising campaign for Marmite has always been "You either love it or hate it" In my opinion, the haters are doing it wrong! ...Having stumbled upon the orginal F.E.A.R by total accident I was blown away by its innovative game style. So when I found F.E.A.R Extraction Point expansion pack I had to have it. I was not disappointed but what was delivered. You restart at the end of the original game, the complete destruction of Project Origin headquarters. You are given one overall objective, get out.....alive! Your two buddies from F.E.A.R are also about to help you out, that is until this games new form of bad guys make light work of them while you are left to watch with no hope of saving them. Thus leaving you to complete the majority of the game in solo (so not too dissimilar to F.E.A.R.) Early in the game you discover an old friend you could rather do without....Paxtton is still alive!!! I consider myself to be a 'Yeast killer' - Yeast is the living micro-organisms that help bread to rise and is indeed, what Marmite is partically made from. Hense, when you have Marmite on toast, you can offically call it a Yeast Masaccre (I don't feel bad in anyway; everything lives and dies). Marmite is a natural nutrition food, great for infants, made by concentrating the yeast left over after brewing beer. After which, ingredients such as spices and veggie extracts aswell as those Vitamins, are added for the distintive flavour. I think it's quite interesting to inform you about the name; a little extra knowledge never hurt anyone. Painless extractions

Advantages: Effective air extraction or recirculation at a reasonable price and with good illumination.
Disadvantages: Noisy on highest setting and fitted door can obscure view of hob if you're tall.

My hob is electric, but had it been a gas hob it might have been necessary to place the hood even higher. The calculations required are rather technical. Fitting of the door to the hood could be done by an enthusiastic amateur, but holes need to be drilled in precisely the right position and depth. When the hood is fitted there is a choice of having the air extracted from the kitchen (via a grease filter) into the open air or having the air recirculated into the kitchen, in which case it will be necessary to purchase an activated carbon filter. The jar itself, for some strange reason, is made from brown glass, to my reckoning the glass should be clear as the product is brown anyway, so as giving a clearer indication of product left within, but I digress!
