Under NEON Loneliness, Extreme G-Bike Emptiness
Review of Extreme G (N64) by
scream4bruce
Advantages: Some stunning track designs, top techno tunes, sense of speed
Disadvantages: Frame-rate issues, too fast? sole player modes could be better realised
...*A review of Extreme G for the N64 which primarily focuses on the single-player experience.*
As a futuristic racer, Extreme G is fairly forgiving; should the G-Bike fall off the course it's recovered, and when the shields are low this equates to a greater speed loss when hit by enemy fire, so no elimination in the game. However, there's no sabotaging the race either!
Extreme G is a lightning quick racing game, though perhaps too fast for it's own good. The handling is tricky to get a feel for, yet the loss in momentum seems minor when driving against the track barriers. Also, not only is there the obvious fogging, but the frame-rate takes a knock whenever the action gets a touch hectic.
It's no wonder, as the tracks are immensely varied. There are moments when, with the roller-coaster-like course designs, you'll be seemingly driving...

the new taste sensation
Review of Doritos Pizza Flavour by
tomhughes78
Advantages: tasty and convenient tortilla chips
Disadvantages: smelly breath!
...here are simply cheese, and tomato, a classic combination which makes for an extremely tasty tortilla chip! However you dont just have to eat pizza doritos on their own, they go extremely well with dips, or salsa - my personal favourite is with a sour cream and chive dip, yummy. Their also a very simple hors-deuve if your entertaining for friends, just whack a bowl of pizza doritos on the table along with some dips - extremly quick, yet their sure to be impressed because pizza doritos taste so good! Their also not particularly unhealthy compared to a number of other snacks and crisps available on the market as the table below shows:
Per pack 33g (pizza doritos)
Energy 168 kcal
700 kj
Protein 2.6 g
Carbohydrate 19.0 g

Mint Dairy Milk Bar
Review of Cadbury Dairy Milk Mint Chips by
emanden
Advantages: Gorgeous!!!
Disadvantages: don't make a 1kg bar!
...Wow. This is my favourite chocolate bar of ALL TIME!!!
The chocolate is available from most newsagents and supermarkets. I paid £1.29 for a 250g bar but you can get 50g and 125g bars also, although I don't know the prices.
The pakaging is very nice. It follows in the theme of the other dairy milk bars with the normal purple dairy milk wrapper with a picture of the chocolate broken open with the mint chips showing - MMMMMM! The chocolate is foil contained so stays extremely fresh.
The smell of the bar is mmmmmmmm! slight hint of mint and strong smell of chocolate
Upon biting into the bar, you are met with a heavenly taste of milk chocolate, extremely smooth and milky - just the way I like it! You then bite down on the crunchy mint chips which are exquisit!! oooooo!
The mint chips do not taste too strong, they remind me of the mint...

Review of Frijj: American Classic Flavoured Milk Shake by
the_vchip
Advantages: Well its a good source of calcium
Disadvantages: Can spoil you meals if you drink too much
...it but i think i actually works. The flavour is strong and in the whole not too sweet or sickly (except for the limited edition toffee popcorn flavour).
In an average container you will get 500g of frijj, in the larger ones 1000g. As for the nutritional information I will give the details from the extreme thick milk chocolate in frount of me.
This is all per 100g
Energy 359Kj/85kcal
Protein 3.9g
Carbohydrate 12.7g
Fat 2.1g
Calcium 131mg
In a 500g bottle this amount of calcium is equivalent to 82% of your RDA (recommended daily allowance). I'm sure the other flavours have similar nutritional information as this.
As for the ingrediants skimmed milk(44%), whole milk (44%), suger, skimmed milk powder, fat reduced cocoa powder, modified maize starch and stabilisers...

2 Extreme For It's Own Good?
Review of Extreme G 2 (N64) by
scream4bruce
Advantages: Nice graphics, cool supersonic sensation
Disadvantages: Frame rate issues, poorly realised modes
...*A review of Extreme G 2 (or XG2) for the N64 which primarily focuses on the single-player experience.*
The 'Extreme Contest' (racing in a field of eight) was a let-down, as in Extreme G. The player is required to finish strongly to qualify for the next race - so strongly that the points will have them top the table. It is 'extreme' in that sense, but it's not really a contest when, as leader, there is the risk of being disqualified.
But where there has been change has not been for the better. The 'Shoot Em Up' mode - destroying drone targets for a race duration - has now become 'Arcade' mode, but they may as well have called it 'Sh*t Em Up' as the lack of a limit of laps means it's point system seems pointless and is purely for practice (of which it's no substitute for the real thing).
As if the slight performace problems...

Worse extreme sports game ever.
Review of 1080 Snowboarding (N64) by
Sd01
Advantages: none
Disadvantages: too many to list
...: 1080 snowboarding has extremely poor speed, even for an extreme sports game. I would have accepted the speed if the graphics had been good, but they weren’t exactly the best either! The speed on this game is very slow compared to other extreme sports games like “SSX” and “Tony Hawks”.
FUN FACTOR: Not good, not good at all! This is where 1080 has got it all wrong. Extreme sports games are supposed to be fun, e.g.; have loads of different tricks, but, as I’ve pointed out above, 1080 doesn’t have a pinch of originality when it comes to tricks. Most of the tricks are all turns, 180, 360, 540 and so on.
GRAPHICS: Yet another mistake by the producers of 1080, if you aren’t concentrating on the speed, you should at lest give it some good graphics. 1080’s graphics are pathetic! In fact...
